Hello, and welcome to the Croydon review for the September 15 taping. This show is the first under new General Manager Andreas Lasiewicz. We see a rematch from the all out brawl that was Madman Szalanski and Pat Gordon Jr, this time for the Commonwealth Championship. We also saw a great match to determine who will face Chandler Scott for the GFC Championship!
– VIDEO –
A door opens in the hallway, prompting Madman Szalinski to jump while standing behind it. Ariel Shadows steps out, carrying a couple sheets of paper. Madman adjusts the title belt on his shoulder as Ariel closes the door behind her.
Madman: That it?
Ariel: Yep, address AND directions.
Madman: So that’s it. Tomorrow, before we fly back home, we’ll stop in and see them all…talk about this tag title match…and figure this thing out.
Ariel: Whatever happens, I’m proud of you and I love you.
Madman: I love you too. Let’s just hope they still love me.
Ariel: If they don’t now, they will…
The duo begin to walk down the hallway slowly.
Madman: Definitely.
Ariel: Duffel bag trick?
Madman nods her way.
Madman: Duffel bag trick.
Ariel: You do realize that this might backfire, love?
Madman looks towards his wife with a raised eyebrow (mostly obstructed by his mask.)
Ariel: You might just piss them off worse.
Madman: If you say so. I just know that I can’t face them in this state. Graham feels the same way. So I’m gonna go to their crib tomorrow and I’m gonna see what I can do. I am gonna do the same thing I always do: the best I got with what I got. And speaking of that…
Madman picks up a steel chair leaning against the wall.
Madman: I got a title to defend.
The duo, still walking, escape the hallway by turning left into another one, ending the scene.

We start off with the FRONTIER debut of Matt Young. This young talent has an impressive resume that should fit in nicely, but don’t think Mike Blackwood will hand him a victory.
Matt Young vs Mike Blackwood
The men lock up a couple of times but neither man can get an advantage. They then both exchange forearms before Matt hits several uppercuts which send Blackwood out of the ring. Matt then follows up with a diving somersault to Blackwood on the outside. Both men return to the ring and Jacobs hits a suplex followed by an attempted monkey flip which is reversed by Blackwood. Jacobs backs Blackwood into the corner and hits several shoulder thrusts followed by a face wash but Blackwood gets back into the contest with a drop toe hold followed by two suplexes. Blackwood goes for the third but Matt rolls him into a small package for the three count.
Your winner, Matt Young!
Great opening match and great first win for Matt Young. Kid could go places here. Next we have the last minutes addition to the card in Laurel Anne Hardy vs FRONTLINE star OOKAMI no Chi. OOKAMI will make her British debut here tonight in a Chivalry is Dead match!
Laurel Anne Hardy vs OOKAMI no Chi
Chivalry is Dead
This match was requested some time ago by the two competitors, who became fans of each other’s work in FRONTIER’s sister promotion FRONTLINE. Since then of course, Alexander StarrZoe abducted a close friend of Hardy’s (Lily, sister of Hardy’s tag team partner Evangelista) to strike at the tag champs. OOKAMI, who is making her first appearance outside of Japan, is the protege of The Great Sato and widely considered one to watch for the future, but the unfortunate timing of this match means she may not be facing the same Hardy she befriended back in FRONTLINE.
We start with a handshake, but Hardy seems distracted. They start off with chain wrestling which favours OOKAMI, although neither are masters of it. Hardy seems to be struggling to get her head in the game and OOKAMI scores a couple of near falls on the more experienced woman. Hardy’s also markedly less flashy in her body movements than usual. The first really brutal moment comes after Hardy reverses an Irish whip attempt to shoot OOKAMI into the corner so hard she flips up onto the ringpost. As OOKAMI rights herself, Hardy changes in with a roundoff, cartwheel, leaps into a springboard and finds the triangle headscissors – but OOKAMI blocks the momentum and manages to spin Hardy into a powerbomb onto the ringpost! She starts to go for an avalanche suplex, but Hardy sandbags and finds a powerbomb of her own after a moment – this time jumping right over the ringpost and slamming OOKAMI’s back onto the steel steps far below!
They both take some time in getting up from that one, but when they do, they both launch into full-scale assault. Hardy seems uncharacteristically focused, while “all full-tilt, all the time” is just how OOKAMI rolls. They trade flying kicks off the apron and guardrail, and the steel steps are put to just about every offensive use you can think of. The closest either of them comes to re-entering the ring is when OOKAMI leaps onto the apron for a very impressive no-hands asai moonsault; unfortunately for her, Hardy catches her and swings her round into a wheelbarrow slam into the guardrail, adding in a double knee gutbuster for good measure. That nets Hardy a two point nine, and her first really credible pin of the match.
But overall the momentum is still on OOKAMI’s side and she manages to retake control with some nasty moves including a northern lights suplex into the barrier. As Hardy stands she grabs the guardrail and phoenixes out, but OOKAMI runs and vaults off the ring steps into a mid-air busaiku knee, which takes both women right over the guardrail! The fans move aside just in time, but Hardy and OOKAMI crash through their chairs.
OOKAMI turns two rails parallel to each other and lays chairs across them to form a platform, then scoop slams Hardy onto the structure. She then lays another chair across Hardy’s midsection, sets up yet another chair and steps up onto it – vertical leap into a double foot stomp, landing on the chair across Laurel’s midriff and sending her crashing through the makeshift table! OOKAMI gets tangled up as well, but security guards free her and replace the barriers. OOKAMI whips Hardy towards the ringpost and immediately runs after her, but Hardy slides under the ropes, using her momentum to swing around the ringpost and catch OOKAMI with a kick to the head as the youngster gets close. After some incredibly stiff and uncharacteristically vicious strikes – fighting through the agony she’s clearly in – Hardy drops OOKAMI with Party Hardy: The Hangover, her fisherman suplex powerbomb, for a very near fall.
Suddenly there’s a scuffle on the other side of the ring as a man vaults the barricade. It takes a moment for everyone to work out what’s going on, as everyone just kind of assumes it’s a crazed fan, but no… MALCOLM DRAKE! Malcolm Drake of The Murder, one-half of FGA’s current Tag Team Champions! He and Hardy have been needling each other for weeks now! He makes a beeline for his weary rival, but is suddenly speared sideways into the side of the ring by Hardy’s ally Cerberus! A few other Asylum members are out too, along with some security guards. Drake fights back, knocking down guards with rights and lefts, and downs Spades with a headbutt before whipping Matt Kail into the ringpost. But more security guards pile onto him along with The Asylum, and before long the Head Crow is lost under a sea of bodies.
While security and The Asylum work on dragging the frenzied interloper from the arena, Hardy and OOKAMI slowly crawl to their feet again. Hardy is clearly distracted as she sees Drake being hauled away. OOKAMI with a backdrop attempt, but Hardy kicks off the ropes and swings into a tornado DDT. She rolls her into the ring and finds a springboard corkscrew moonsault for a near fall, then slides out and recovers the ring steps. Back in the ring, she wedges the steps in the corner and whips OOKAMI into them, demolishes her as she’s sunk against the steel with a series of brutally stiff kicks and a primal scream, then tosses her to the middle of the ring and raises the steps high above her head. OOKAMI’s totally out of it, and Hardy tenses, ready to crush her opponent’s head. The crowd are split; some cheer in bloodlust, while others seem horrified that Hardy would go to such an extreme in what was meant to be a friendly match.
Suddenly Hardy just tosses the steps aside and sinks to her knees, eyes closed, breathing shallow. She rolls back and starts slamming a palm into her own head repeatedly, a conflicted expression playing across her face. After some time she slowly comes back to her senses and gets to her feet again, positions the steps in the middle of the ring, then hauls OOKAMI up so they’re both standing on them. Hardy locks OOKAMI up for some version of the Flower Plower, but OOKAMI finds a back body drop, and Hardy’s spine connects with the edge of the steps. She instantly leaps back up and goes for a spear, but OOKAMI flips her up onto her shoulders and drops her in an inverted northern lights bomb! CHASEDOWN BOMB ON THE STEEL STEPS! She hooks the leg, and it’s enough!
Your Winner, OOKAMI no Chi!
A great showing by OOKAMI in her British debut, and Hardy showed her unrivalled creativity, but her head was clearly elsewhere for this match and that cost her. She’ll need to make certain she’s not similarly distracted for her title defence against The Shoot Kings on our next show! Both women get cheers after the match, and they share a handshake. Hardy whispers something to OOKAMI and OOKAMI responds by giving her a quick hug.
Summer Collins vs Jason Talbot
From the outside looking in this match looks to be a mismatch. Jason Talbot has more than a hundred pounds on Summer Collins. It was clear from the beginning that is what Talbot wanted to exploit, but Collins has been around and is more than prepared for that game plan. In the beginning the plan worked, but the speed of Collins kept Talbot from ever gaining any momentum.
Talbot went for a powerbomb but Collins got a kick into the gut of her opponent and she quickly took him down with a roundhouse legsweep. She lept up to the top rope and as Talbot was getting back to his feet she leapt into the air, and takes Talbot off his feet with a missile dropkick. She tried a cover but Talbot kicked out at two. Talbot fought his way back to his feet and picked Summer up for a side slam ,but Collins wriggled causing Talbot to lose his grip. She got her leg wrapped around his and leaned forwards before throwing herself back, managing the Russian Legsweep.
She climbed to the top rope once more and pulled off a picture perfect Moonsault, only for Talbot to kick out once more. But Collins was fired up now and landed a jumping elbow to the jaw. Talbot was dazed and Collins took her chance to take the big man down with a springboard spinning heel kick, connecting on the jaw of Talbot. Talbot angrily pushed himself up, but is taken down again with the Stock Market Crash (rock bottom).
Your Winner, Summer Collins!
Great Win for Summer! She had a game plan and execute it to perfection. Tough loss for Talbot who is still trying to adjust to returning to the ring with his brother. The next match was Clauson vs Jason X. Jason recently pinned the Commonwealth champion. Can he make it 2-0 against the Shoot Kings or will Clauson get a measure of revenge for his friend?
Graham Clauson vs Jason X
Code of Respect followed nicely and here we go. Lock-up and a wristlock by Jason. Headlock by Clauson and he holds onto it when Jason tries to shove him off of the ropes. Headlock takeover by Clauson, cover for one by Jason, headscissors but Clauson nips up and goes right back to the headlock takeover. Jason gets his own headlock, shoulder tackle but Clauson trips him up and gets his headlock back on. Jason counters to an armdrag and starts working on the arm as we get duelling chants from the crowd.
Clauson goes to the ropes and gets chopped. Jason counters the Northern Lights with an armdrag and Clauson ducks the running jumping knee. The pace picks up until Jason hits a back body drop and hits a flying back elbow in the corner. Clauson backdrops Jason to the apron, but Jason goes up top and hits a crossbody for two.
Clauson trips him up but Jason kicks him to the floor, tries the moonsault but Clauson blocks, tries to suplex him off the apron, Jason blocks, but Clauson hits an enzugiri, Neckbreaker on the apron! Clauson drops an elbow on the neck and stays focused on that body part. Clothesline gets two for Clauson. Neck wrenches by Clauson, and a knee drop to the back of the neck gets two.
Half-nelson chinlock by Clauson, but Jason elbows out of it. Jason goes around Clauson but eats a heel kick, and Clauson hits a backdrop suplex and a swinging neckbreaker which gets two for Clauson. Jason kicks Clauson from the floor, but Clauson kicks him in the back of the head. A vertical suplex followed double knee drop by Clauson, Jason out at two. Turnbuckle smash by Clauson. Clauson and Jason starts throwing punches, and a headbutt. Clauson with gut punches and a headbutt. Suplex by Jason.
Jason goes to the apron and hits a missile dropkick to the back of the neck. Clauson hits an armdrag to counter a Dragon Suplex.Lariat by Clauson, Moonsault! He misses but lands on his feet, ‘rana by Jason. Fans start a “This is Awesome” chant. A X-Driver II (Spinning Unprettier) from Jason X, but Clauson gets his shoulder up. Clauson comes up behind a distracted Jason, who was arguing the count with the referee, and nails a Ludovico Technique (Snapmare Driver). Thats all she wrote!
Your Winner, Graham Clauson!
Clauson continues his roll through FRONTIER, while perhaps chopping Jason X’s momentum. Only time will tell on that, but Jason still has to believe himself in line for a shot at the Commonwealth championship. Before we go to the Number one contender match, lets hear from Michael Hopkins.

We cut backstage where Michael Hopkind can be seen warming up for his huge upcoming match. After a few seconds he notices the camera and gives a little smirk whilst stopping warming up and standing straight and gazing in to the camera.
Michael: First things first. I must give props to Chandler Scott. I was in Ohio to watch the man take on Ben Hanson and fair play he beat him. Congratulation Chandler you get a few more weeks snuggling up to the GFC World Title. Savour those weeks because after I beat Jay Pride tonight I am taking the belt from your grasp. But that is one for the future, tonight right here in Croydon I first have to defeat the great Jay Pride.
Now Jay I know you and your friends are going through a rough time right now and I understand how difficult it is for you to concentrate on our match, what with that prick StarrZoe kidnapping Lily. And I am deeply sorry for the situation and I offer help in any way I can to help. But tonight is my opportunity and I can not allow myself to go easy on you due to your prediciment. I must treat you the same as I would anyone else and I must beat you. If I beat a half hearted you then so be it we will just have to fight once again when you are fully motivated if that is the case. But beat you I must and beat you I will. It is time for me to rise and it is time for a new age in Frontier to begin. An Age where the Dragon is king. Not UK Dragons but a Welsh Dragon. Jay I am sorry but tonight you must fall.
Oh and Andreas Lasiewicz, Frontier GM. Special Guest referee. No matter your opinion on me or my right to be in this match you will count to three as I lay on top of Jay Pride. And then I take away your friends World Title. Why, because if we look up at the clock….
Michael turns his head and looks at the clock on the wall.
Michael: It is my time now!!!! See you out there.
And we cut away.

#1 Contenders match for the GFC World Heavyweight Championship: Jay Pride vs Michael Hopkins
The crowd are on their feet throughout both competitors’ entrances, eagerly anticipating this match. The crowd are slightly apprehensive about FRONTIER GM Andreas Lasiewicz refereeing this matchup, knowing full well of his alliance with the current World Champion. But this just adds to the atmosphere of it all. No one in the arena has a clue who is going to win, or what is going to happen in regards to officiating. Andreas is smoking on a cigarette as he looks out into the crowd, smirking as the fans in attendance cheer on either Pride or Hopkins. Seems the crowd are almost in an exact 50/50 spilt. He calls both men to the centre of the ring and begins to explain the rules and what is at stake in a very old school method. Both Jay and Michael are staying straight at each other, both looking very determined. Without a single word, Michael and Jay shake hands in a show of respect. Andreas then orders both of them back to their respected corners. Firstly he follows Pride to his corner, then checks his boots and knee pads for illegal objects. Lasiewicz then clicks his fingers in Pride’s face, startling him. Was his mind elsewhere for a moment? Doesn’t matter, he looks in the zone now. Andreas then walks over to Hopkins corner to check his pads and boots in the same manner. Hopkins is much more vocal, though it is unclear exactly what he is saying to the GM. From the look on Lasiewicz’s face, it is likely he is repeating the threats made to the GM in his last promo…
WHOA! It could only have been something like that as Lasiewicz slaps Hopkins straight across the face for those words! The Welsh Dragon’s face has been turned completely to the side with a huge red handprint appearing where he was struck. What the hell is going to happen here? Hopkins takes a step towards Lasiewicz, he is quivering with rage… But before he can do anything Lasiewicz calls for the bell! Hopkins pauses in his steps, realising that if he retaliates that he will be disqualified. Lasiewicz laughs hysterically at Hopkins then screams for them to start the match.
Both men gather their bearings and begin to circle one another. As the fans roar on they lockup. Both men are jockeying for an advantage but Hopkins uses his strength to push Pride down to his knees. Pride is attempting to get himself back to an upright but struggles due to the larger Hopkins strength. Hopkins manages to get him to the floor for a near fall. No argument about the count there, we’ll see if that continues. Another tie up follows, this time Pride using his speed to get around Hopkins. He attempts a quick German suplex, but the Dragon locks his leg so Pride can’t lift him. After a few elbows to the temple he still get break free of Pride’s grasp. He avoids the German, but Pride locks in a Full Nelson, slamming him down to the mat quickly and dives for the cover. Another close two count, fair count as well. Both slink back to their corners for a breather as the crowd goes wild.
Both come back in, Hopkins gaining advantage with a quick takedown, holding a squirming Pride down with a series of well-placed knees to the gut. Hopkins blocks a fist from Pride and goes for an armbar. He almost has it locked in, but Pride rolls over him for a near fall. Both are straight up again and Pride this time takes him down to the delight of his side of the crowd, nailing a few punches then going for an armhook. Hopkins crawls on the floor, trying to get to the ropes and gets there. Pride breaks the hold before Lasiewicz can even start a five count. Very fair play there by Pride.
Both wrestlers are pretty fired up now due to the crowd and charge each other. Hopkins gains an advantage, backing him into the corner with a trio of shoulder thrusts. He follows it up with some big knees, knocking the wind out of the former champion. He quickly runs to the ropes, bounces off then charges in and delivers a vicious dropkick to Pride’s chest that makes him stumble out of the corner and into Michael’s waiting arms. He scoops him onto his shoulders, falling back down with a Samoan Drop. He goes for a cover, but Pride kicks out quickly. Jay begins to get up as Hopkins charges him, pushing “The Last Hope” into the ropes. On his return he receives a vicious belly to belly suplex. Another quick cover but an equally quick kick out. Pride gets up once more to be put back down again with a vile Back Stabber! But instead of going for another cover, Hopkins gets on the top rope. He measures his opponent for a big elbow drop… And misses! Pride waited to the last second to roll away! Hopkins is clutching his arm, he looks to have landed awkwardly after that one. Jay notices this, taking him down with a Japanese Arm Drag, then keeping him locked in. Trying to soften him for the Bicep Slicer, perhaps? Hopkins begins to get back to a vertical base, striking Pride with a series of well-placed kicks, but Pride whips him into the ropes bad arm and all. Quick power slam and a two count upon the return. Pride nails a couple of sharp elbows to Hopkins injured arm before pulling him up. Hopkins face is the picture of pain. That’s gonna be a factor in this match. Pride pulls him in and right back down with a short arm clothesline. But he doesn’t let go of the arm! He pulls him back up… another clothesline! He repeats this one more time then goes for the cover… ONE…TWO… No, that’s not enough, but the damage is being done.
Pride has him up once more and is now easily taking control of the match. Lasiewicz is keeping a very close eye on proceedings, even asking Hopkins if he wants to continue. The Welsh Dragon is silent however, trying to block out the pain. He pulls him up and over with a Monkey flip… But somehow Hopkins lands on his feet. As Pride turns he is clotheslined out of the ring by Hopkins. But it’s with his bad arm! Hopkins drops to his knees, massaging his arm… But then leaps through the ropes taking out Pride with a Suicide Dive! Suicidal could well be the word for it, both men are in a lot of pain right now. Lasiewicz seems happy to allow the action to continue on the outside as both wrestler begin to trade open handed fists. Pride seems to be getting the advantage but then Hopkins takes him down with a drop toehold. Sensible move there as he drops down with his knees. Lasiewicz finally begins to make the count as he sees how groggy both men are becoming. ONE…Hopkins continues to drive knees in…TWO… He relents then goes to return to the ring…THREE… Pride pulls his feet out as he is on the apron, smashing Hopkins face into the mat. FOUR… Hopkins goes down and Pride rolls into the ring… FIVE… Hopkins tries to shake the cobwebs out… SIX… And manages to roll back into the ring. And is met by a stiff running knee from Pride. The cover… It’s another two. Very close there, he caught Hopkins off guard. Pride pulls him back up and gives him an Arm Wringer, but instead of his traditional kick to the spine, he relentless starts laying football style kicks to Hopkin’s injured arm. Hopkins manages to block one with his free arm, giving a European Uppercut to Pride’s leg. Jay hops off and away because of this. SWEET DREAMS FROM HOPKINS! He falls onto Pride…ONE…TWO…THR—No! A clean kickout from Pride at the last second. This is a close one!
Hopkins waits for a second; trying to get some feeling into his bad arm. Pride is using the ropes to help himself up. Hopkins begins to stalk his prey… What is he looking for here? Wait, Pride comes off with the World of Sport Special! Hopkins ducks under… Muscle Buster! He’s gonna try and end it now… But Pride has hold of the ropes. Hopkins is trying to pull him away but Jay will not let go. Michael simply lets go and runs to the ropes. He sprints back to Pride who is near the ropes… WHOA! Pride caught him! Pride has him on his shoulders. He looks as if he is going for the Pride Eater. He moves to the centre of the ring. This is it!
No! Hopkins slips out and pulls him down. Triangle Choke! He has the Dim Dianc locked in. Dead center of the ring! There is no escape! But Pride is fighting it though. Lasiewicz checks for the submission, but Jay refuses to give in. There is too much at stake. He tries to squirm out but to no avail. Hopkins only tightens the hold and they are nowhere near the ropes. Lasiewicz asks again, Jay screams out in pain but it is still a no. Jay seems to be trying to pull on Michael’s bad arm, maybe trying to pull him to his side, but Hopkins doesn’t budge. Pride seems to be fading, his arm hovering for the tap out. He holds on but Hopkins uses all his strength in one last effort to make the former champion tap out, pulling back as much as he can. Lasiewicz suddenly leaps into action and starts making a count! ONE…TWO… Hopkins briefly let’s go of the hold. Wow, Pride had him in a pinning predicament, how did Lasiewicz spot that? Michael’s concentration slips for a second as he realized what happened… And Pride takes advantage! He gets into a side mount position and goes for the Bicep Slicer! On the injured arm! He is trying desperately, despite the pain inflicted from the Triangle Choke to lock in his submission move. Out of instinct and Hopkins shock he locks it in! The advantage has gone a full 180. Both Hopkins’ arms are locked in; Pride has it seeped in tight. Andreas is now checking for the submission. Michael wails out a ‘No’. Lasiewicz is right in his face asking him if that’s it. Michael refuses, inching his face closer to Pride in order to lessen the pain. He manages to break his spare arm free and throws a few punches but they have no effect. Pride is relentless in his quest to gain another title shot. He will not let go! Hopkins tries to roll over but Jay will simply not let go. This is it! This must be it. Michael tries one last time to roll. No. It must be over. HE’S UPRIGHT! What the hell. Lasiewicz dives back down to the mat! The view is obscured. Andreas calls for the bell? What the…
The bell rings and both men fall to the mat. Lasiewicz simply sits back, shakes his head then pulls a crumpled cigarette out of his pant pocket and lights it. Hopkins and Pride, though dazed and in pain begin to question Lasiewicz, but he ignores them as he enjoys his cigarette (and the probable fine for smoking indoors). Lasiewicz finally stands calling the two men to him, placing Jay on his left and Michael on his right. The crowds are on their feet in anticipation for the result. Both Pride and Hopkins are still asking for an answer but Andreas remains silent. He stands there in silence, taking each of their hands. He waits for a moment, allowing the suspense to build to fever pitch. Then, in one swift motion lifts the arm of the victor.
Your Winner, Michael Hopkins!
The crowd let out a wild cheer as “Radioactive” by Imagine Dragons thunders out from the P.A system and Hopkins drops to his knees, his head in his hands in disbelief at his victory. Pride questions Lasiewicz’s decision, but the GM explains his decision. Let me check a replay of that from another angle… He’s right! Hopkins rolled through and managed to get Pride into a pinning combination and the count was just. Pride is shocked and disappointed by the decision, but is understanding. He takes a few steps back, his hands around the back of his shaking head. Hopkins is up now, moving to the other corner as he celebrates his triumph. What a match, and a fair and unbiased show of refereeing from Lasiewicz. I doubt anyone was expecting that! Jay Pride walks over to Hopkins, shaking his hand in an act of sportsmanship. Pride then raises Hopkins arm as the crowd cheers on. Andreas, however simply shakes his head and exits the ring. Pride and Hopkins look on to the exiting GM, nodding in appreciation that he called the match right down the middle.

“The following contest is our main event, and it is for the GFC Commonwealth Championship…”
Without music, introduction, Ariel, or anybody else, Madman Szalinski stomps his way down to the ring, still in street clothing along with a blue and red mask differing. Holding his GFC UnCommonwealth title in his hand, he chucks it halfway down the ramp into the ring to a cheer from the crowd. Madman slides into the ring swiftly, wasting no time in approaching Tiffany Marshall. He asks for the microphone and turns with it to begin yelling before Tiffany can retract her hand.
Madman: Okay, so here’s what’s up. While our World Champion’s left me in charge of the main event, his buddy becomes the new GM and immediately brushes me off like I’m nobody. I don’t do this very often because I don’t like to. But I’m going to cut an actual promo tonight for a change…all right, where’d y’all put the hard camera tonight?
Szalinski points around the arena, getting a few laughs and some applause. Looking into the DVD taping’s camera, he points into it and smiles.
Madman: There you are. Look. I’ve been the Commonwealth Champion since April. I turned down two World Title shots to be the first Commonwealth Champion in 20 years, and I’m pretty sure I’m the first American to hold it. I’ve been in more main event matches than Chandler Scott has since each of us has won our belts. I’ve yet to turn down a challenger. I’ve even had more title defenses. And while I might be signed to FGA now as well, you people see where my priorities lie. FRONTIER has made Madman Szalinski and the Shoot Kings the talk of 2013, and the least I can do is show up here to defend my fuckin’ title!
The crowd pops for this.
Madman: So, I’m going to tell you what’s gonna happen tonight. I asked to have this contest fought under special rules, rules that were not so restrictive. While I appreciate and support the Commonwealth division, this thing with Pat Gordon Jnr. and I is something different. Andreas, you wanna ignore me? That’s okay. Nobody is getting screwed out of a main event. You came to see this shit get settled, this shit’s gonna get settled right now. PAT GORDON JUNIOR!
Szalinski points down the ramp, towards the curtain.
Madman: We got business. Let’s settle it. The Godfathers of Wrestling need to be reminded that there are other people in this company who still have a say! You and I, we don’t need this thing to be for a title, or for Andreas to sanction it. Whatever we want to do…it’s our time, Pat! We got 2000 people in here who paid to see us fight! I’m ready whenever you are!
Szalinski picks his title back up. As the referee approaches him for it, Szalinski holds up a hand saying “not now.” Pat Gordon Jnr., also sans music, steps out wearing jeans, boots, and taped fists. The fans cheer loudly for him, as Szalinski now steps to the floor (taking the belt with him) and walks down to meet Pat at ringside.

Commonwalth Championship: Madman Szalinski vs Pat Gordon Jr
Szalinski winds up, chucking the belt high above Pat’s head, in the direction of the curtain at the top of the ramp. After doing so, he bumrushes Pat Gordon Jnr. in the aisle. Pat throws him off as the crowd erupts into cheers, with Pat holding Madman against the barricade to lather him with several shots to the chest. Gordon tosses Szalinski back into the aisle way, but is tripped up and pulled down by Madman. As he gets to his feet, Madman grabs the barricade and uses it to climb up, jumping down with a double axe handle to Pat’s back. Pulling Pat up, he drags him in a three-quarter nelson down to ringside…PAT GORDON JUNIOR BACKDROP SUPLEXES MADMAN SZALINSKI ONTO THE CONCRETE FLOOR!!!
The entire arena gasps collectively, as Szalinski’s legs slump to the side and his body lies prone on the floor. Pat sits up, holding his own head while looking over at Madman. He gets to his feet slowly, shaking his head and looking up at the referee, still in the ring and completely confused. He approaches the apron and climbs up, asking the status of the match. The referee shakes his head, stating that the match had yet to begin. Before Pat can respond, he is pulled off the apron by Szalinski, who lays a European uppercut into him. With rage in his eyes, a rejuvenated Szalinski shows no sign of injury as he blasts Gordon with a pair of forearms that knock him around the ring steps and towards another corner of the ringside area. Szalinski runs at him, but is caught and pressed, if you can believe it, over the head of Pat Gordon Jnr. and held…until Madman reaches out over the barricade, using several of the willing fans to pull himself away from Pat and crowd-surf into the front rows of the crowd! Croydon is on fire with cheers and stomping, as Madman points a few feet away out into the crowd, asking to be surfed away from Pat. Gordon jumps the rail, moving through the fans to get to Szalinski as he taunts Pat!
Finally, Madman is set down in a small aisleway between rows of seating. Pat makes it to him, where Madman catches him with an open right hand. He shoves Pat away, pushing him back into the wall. Holding him there for a few seconds, Madman steps away and turns around, slamming his hips and butt into Pat’s chest and stomach. Stepping away, he chuckles a bit, looking back at Gordon as he holds his midsection.
“READY?”
The crowd bursts into a roar of approval, while Madman gets down onto all fours.
“DOWN!”
Raising from his knees, Szalinski gets one arm up into the air and charges at Pat.
“HUT-”
Before the first elbow can land, Pat lunges forward a couple of inches and sticks his head out, landing a headbutt square into Szalinski’s jaw. As Gordon Jnr. drops to a knee, Szalinski crumples to the floor, his head against the barricade. He just lays there as Pat stands tall, looking around the arena. He so.on looks over to a nearby table, pointing to it and getting a large reaction.
Madman offers little resistance when Pat pulls him up. Pat walks Madman over to the table, situated between two six-foot tall sets of bleachers. He slams Madman’s face onto the table and steps away a bit. Szalinski flings his arms, them moves as if he is waking up. When Pat goes to drag him around again, Madman swats his hand away and starts to fight back, landing a slap to the face. The crowd encourages both men with a dueling “LET’S GO MADMAN! LET’S GO PAT!” chant thundering throughout the building. Madman starts stepping backwards up the bleachers, pulling Pat by the neck until Pat breaks free and pushes Madman back. Near the top with the backs against a wall (and the few fans who haven’t moved out of the way now scurrying out) Szalinski receives another shove from Pat. This time, he shoves back. Pat charges at him again, but Madman grabs him with a front guillotine…Szalinski has one leg over the back, he’s got Pat down….Madman tries desperately to get his Deathtrap locked in, but cannot. Pat stands up again, with Madman still attached to his neck. He drives Madman’s back into the wall…but all this does is get Madman to lock his hands together for dear life. Pat slams Szalinski’s back into the table again..no…PAT AND MADMAN FALL OFF THE BLEACHERS THROUGH THE TABLE!
Pat tried to slam Madman, but Szalinski still held on…it’s hard to say who got it worst of it, but one thing’s for sure: neither of them got anything good out of it! As a matter of fact, neither seem to be moving much. With the approach of EMT’s, FRONTIER officials, and a near hysterical Ariel Shadows whose first audible words are “you stupid motherfucker, look what you did!” as she kneels beside her husband…it’s safe to say that this one was over before it began…athough, it’s definitely far from over….
Your Winner, Madman Szalanski!
