Welcome to the Motorpoint Arena (let’s face it, though, it’s the Sheffield Arena) here in Sheffield, England. Bobby Beltzer here, and so were about 8,130 fans packing the place for the third annual Open House! We had our usual all-day meet and greet, which featured many of FRONTIER’s current stars as well as several of the guests here for tonight’s big match in which the winner would win a shot at the GFC Commonwealth Championship! Everyone’s confidence was high, and the fans went in there expecting no less than the best FRONTIER had to offer…but what they got may have exceeded even that!
Our first match tonight pitted one-half of the Dragons, Laurel Anne Hardy, against The Murder’s malevolent leader de facto Malcolm Drake. The tale of the Dragons and the Murder stretches out over several feds and the course of 2013, and will tonight be the end…or just another chapter?Laurel Anne Hardy vs. Malcolm Drake
What better way to kick off 2014 than with a match months in the making between two bitter enemies? For the longest time now, Laurel Anne Hardy and Malcolm Drake have been at each other’s throats, each seemingly obsessed with screwing with the other, and each claiming to be capable of more shocking acts of brutality than the other.
Perhaps hoping to get this matter settled once and for all, this match was set up by management, rather than requested by either of the combatants. But Drake and Hardy – unaccompanied by their respective entourages – waste no time in taking it to each other. The bell hasn’t even finished ringing and they’re on the mat, pounding each other with rights and lefts, knees and headbutts. The referee forces them apart and they leer evilly at each other, and go into a lockup.
Drake powers Hardy into the corner and crushes her with a big kick, then starts unleashing fists and headbutts. The referee drags him away to admonish him. Drake says something to the ref which surely isn’t pleasant, and turns back – only to be speared by Hardy! She straddles him and lays in her own salvo of fists and headbutts.
The ref hauls her away and warns them both, but they both seem to be ignoring him as they circle round and round. Another lockup and they jockey back and forth. Laurel with a kick to the midsection, and she starts clubbing the back of Malcolm’s head as he doubles over, but he finds a thumb to the eye to stop the assault. She falls back against the ropes, and he lariats her right over the top!
Wasting no time, Drake climbs the buckles and scouts her for a Mors Vincit elbow drop, all the way to the outside – but as he falls towards Hardy, she catches him and uses his own momentum to powerslam him into the guardrail! She starts laying in stomps, but he reaches up and – still upside-down against the railing – cracks her with a jawbreaker.
After disentangling himself he slams her head into the apron, then wheels her round and smashes her facefirst into the top of the guardrail. She sways unsteadily, but grabs the back of his head with both hands and returns the favour. He grasps her long hair and yanks her head back, then slams her into the rail again. And again, she returns fire. They trade these shots over and over, repeatedly slamming each other’s faces against the metal, each seemingly more concerned with damaging their foe than protecting themselves. Before long they both have streams of blood trickling down their faces, from bumps on their foreheads.
Inevitably they end up on the ground again, rolling over and over and again trading closed fists, elbows, knees and headbutts to any body part they can find. Drake fishhooks Hardy’s jaw; she responds by biting down hard on his fingers. He knees her in the groin and when she cries out in pain, yanks his hand away and wipes her drool off on her own face. And then the brawl continues.
Throughout all this, the referee has been trying and failing to enforce any sort of order. He finally gives up and calls for the bell, and Jenni Starr announces that the match has been ruled a no contest due to the participants’ inability to respect the rules. Yet still they keep brawling. Finally, security guards haul the two fighters apart. Drake and Hardy are still trying to get at each other, but a mass of black-clad bodies keep them separated and drag them off in different directions.
Something tells me we haven’t seen the last of this…
Winner: No Contest!
No real shock that this match ended in a no contest. Both Hardy and drake hate one another. I have a feeling this will not be the end of this rivalry.

The camera is fixated on a door reading “FRONTIER MGMT”. The Shoot Kings and Ariel Shadows step in front of it. Neither Madman (with white mask) nor Graham (with black hat) are dressed to compete.
All three stare at the door silently. Finally, Madman looks left towards Graham and nods. Graham responds, and the duo embraces lightly. Madman releases Graham, then turns right to kiss Ariel, who nods with a reaffirming look.
Finally, Szalinski looks straight ahead at the door. Before going on, with his back completely to the camera, he puts his head down to remove his mask…then Madman enters the room, alone. The door shuts, leaving Ariel and Graham to walk away in opposite directions as the scene fades away.

Coming up next, we were scheduled to have a match featuring a returning Jason Richards against WARPED alumni Mr. Rottentreats. I say scheduled, because the winter storms blistering the Northeastern United States caused Rottentreats to miss his flight to the United Kingdom. Or so he claimed. And after all of the words the Strong Style Wolf had for him, we knew Jason wouldn’t take it lying down…
– VIDEO –
The crowd is restless as they are ready for more action to begin as suddenly the sound of a wolf howling blasts throughout the arena. The music begins to play throughout the arena as the crowd is all focused on the curtain as Jason steps through with a hood over his head. He stares straight ahead at the ring as the music just continues to play. He then slowly begins walking towards the ring as he has a cold stone like expression on his face. He jumps up on the apron and steps through the ropes and walks over and demands the microphone. He grabs it making sure it works he walks to the middle of the ring and takes his hood down staring straight in to the camera.
Richards: Treats!!!! You know for a man who talks so fucking much about fighting and making people bleed you punk out like some bitch in a playground fight? I expected more from you I really did I mean fuck I was getting ready to have my right foot take your head off. I am standing in the middle of this ring in front of the entire world and I am telling you to grow a set and make it here. I am not going anywhere I will be here all night long so if you find it in you to be a man come find me. I would of thought someone like you would be chomping at the bit for a chance like this. I guess the saying is true that behind all that make up is what everyone already knows a bitch.
He throws the microphone down as he does he puts the hood back over his head and he walks to the ropes and steps through. He jumps down off the apron and begins walking back towards the curtain as he reaches it he pushes it open walking back through. Just before the curtain closes, a figure is seen jumping the rail at the aisle, slamming a forearm into Richards’ back. The figure is revealed as Mr. Rottentreats, who pulls Richards back through to a chorus of boos. Rottentreats slams him head-first into the railing, then tosses him backwards onto the concrete as fans jeer in his face from the other side of the barricade.
Treats can be heard yelling with psychotic glee, throwing stomps here and there at Richards in between talking more smack to the fans. He takes a few steps away from Jason, looking down the ramp and scowling at the crowd some more. Raising his arms, he turns to exit the same way he came – through the uncooperative crowd. Before he can even get to the railing, the scene is interrupted when a pair of referees come running from the locker room, one approaching Rottentreats and the other approaching Bobby Beltzer. Beltzer’s mic pics up nothing more than murmurs, before an official announcement is made.
Beltzer: Ladies and gentlemen, I have just been informed that this match has now been changed to a Chivalry Is Dead Match!
Rottentreats is now livid, with both officials telling him yes while he shakes his head, refusing to believe it…

(Now A) Chivalry Is Dead Match
Mr. Rottentreats vs. Jason Richards
And as soon as the bell rang, Jason turned him around into a right hand! These two started going at it, trading right hands all the way down to the ring apron when Richards missed a two-step lariat and got tripped up into the apron. Treats pounced on him, slamming his left arm into the apron several times to hyperextend the elbow. Pulling it into the ringpost, Treats used the post to stretch out the arm and shoulder. Richards yelled out in pain, swiping at Treats unsucessfully with his free hand. Putting a foot on the post for leverage, Treats pulls harder, getting a couple of extra yells before letting go, taking a moment to jaw with some fans at ringside while Richards kneels over, holding his arm and shoulder. Treats turns around, but takes a sharp toe kick to the gut.
The next few minutes consisted of these two brawling all over ringside, Treats capitalizing on Richards’ mistakes and subconsciousness every chance he gets, while Richards just keeps finding something to give back to the man. Chairs came out from underneath the ring, and both men tasted metal. Treats went for the fire extinguisher, but Richards somehow turned the nozzle around to spray back into the clown’s face. Richards with a right hand…Treats with a right…Richards with another one…Treats fires back…Richards with a third right hand…and Treats just spun around before poking Jason right in the damn eye. Finally, the duo made it back into the ring after Treats was caught jumping from the apron (chair in hands) and given a spinebuster on the floor by Richards.
Once Jason rolls him in underneath the bottom ropes, he is quick to get Rottentreats back to his feet, backing him up to the ropes. He whips Treats across the ring, who hangs on and stays there. Jason, preparing to throw a lariat off the rebound, instead charges at Treats. Treats pulls the ropes down, sending Richards right back to the floor…no, Richards stays on the apron! Rottentreats doesn’t know it…Jason climbed up the turnbuckles in his ignorance. Rottentreats laughed about it until he turned around to yell “OH SHIT!” when Jason flew off at him with a crossbody! He stayed on for a cover and a two-count, but Treats rolled through and Richards kicked out at one.
The crowd loves it at this point, while Richards looks to hit the floor once again, looking underneath the ring for another weapon. Before he can return with the second chair, Treats hits a small baseball slide and puts the chair back into Richards’ face. Jason throws the chair down, stumbling around a bit before stepping up to the apron, where Rottentreats catches him. Looking to suplex over the ropes, Treats gets the man up…but Richards floats over, landing on top of Rottentreats! This also gets a two-count, but it gets the fans on their feet as well (the few who already weren’t.)
Jason Richards had the fans on their feet, and he was ready to go for the kill…but a low blow stopped him dead in his tracks. Rotten followed by tripping him up by the leg…and locking in a single leg crab…the arm too! That’s the Switchblade Special! That’s Adam Stryker’s move…and Jason Richards just got hit in the balls on top of all that! He’s going to tap…he’s holding out…Treats cinches it on…and Richards taps!
Winner: Mr. Rottentreats
– VIDEO –
The bell rings…but Rottentreats does not let go. The referee pulls at his arms, the crowd boos away, but Treats keeps the hold locked in. Suddenly, Adam Stryker flies out of the locker room and to the ring! He slides into the ring, where treats lets go of Richards and meets him. Stryker knocks Treats back with a series of right hands, backing him up to the ropes and sending him off with an Irish whip. Treats comes back, but ducks the right hand and hits yet another eye poke to Stryker, then kicking the legs out from underneath him. With Stryker on the mat, Rottentreats now goes for his legs, putting Adam in his own Switchblade Special submission hold.
Referees and officials pour into the ring, the bell continuing to ring. The cheers from the fans when Adam entered have now died down as Treats is being pried off. Finally, a third pair of officials’ hands get Rottentreats to relinquish his hold on Adam Stryker. With an escort, the cantankerous Rottentreats laughs his whole way out of the ring.
– /VIDEO –
What…a…bastard. That’s what I was thinking after seeing that match. Mr. Rottentreats certainly living up to his name with some very rotten ethics in that match. But, as far as that contest was concerned, Chivalry was Dead. And that means that his victory still counts. The question I’m asking is, what’s Adam Stryker gonna do about all of this? Will Jason Richards take this lying down? Would Rottentreats stand a chance in a fair fight? These men will have to wait and fight another day.

The scene opens up with the traditional plain grey backdrop, but the camera is set much, much lower. Finally, we see what looks like the boots of Madman Szalinski, along with his dog Peach.
Madman: Just like we practiced, puppy.
Peach: BARK! BARK!
Peach, fully visible to the camera, sits down and looks straight into the camera.
Madman: Okay, Peach. We like good wrestling, right?
Peach: BARK!
Madman: And we like free stuff, right?
Peach: BARK! BARK!
Madman: Good girl.
Rustling of plastic is heard, before we see a small pile of bacon jerky fall to the floor. Peach runs up, taking a piece. Suddenly, Madman’s boots disappear in a blue – and his masked face appears, along with the rest of him – now laying face-down on the floor next to his dog.
Madman: Pre-order Unsanctioned II live on Pay Per View, streaming or cable, 24 hours before showtime, and get a FREE Best Of FRONTIER 2013 DVD!
Madman then reaches for an untouched piece of jerky on the floor with his mouth (no hands) only to raise the ire of Peach, who has eaten nearly all other pieces of bacon jerky left.
Peach: GRRRR!!!!!
Madman growls back at Peach, the audio and video blurring slightly as text appears over them for a few seconds, the scene finally fading to black.

For our next bout, we’ve got one-half of the Best of British, Nigel Kensington the third taking on Rob Riley. This one came about because of an incident at the GFC III tournament that saw D.C. Wiland making an appearance to confront B.o.B. in the middle of the ring. Rupert took the most of it, but Nigel has been the one talking like he’s got a score to settle. Let’s see if Nigel takes his frustrations out on Wiland’s friend Rob Riley.
Rob Riley vs. Nigel Kensington III
Riley came out first, solo, and slapped his fair share of hands. Nigel was second, and Rupert was right there with him. The crowd, however, wasn’t with Nigel as much. Everybody got settled in, the ring was cleared, and DING DING DING! We were off!
They locked up, but Nigel shoved Rob back down. He was tenacious, and popped back up for more. Another collar and elbow tie-up ended in the same result: Rob Riley on his back, and Nigel Kensington gloating about it to a disapproving audience. They met in the middle one final time, where Nigel went into a side headlock and pulled Rob down, dropping to one knee. He yanked Riley around for a bit and then went to the ropes, backpedaling as Riley pulled on him with a waistlock. Nigel is pushed off the ropes, where a textbook shoulderblock awaits him. Nigel is able to leapfrog over, however, and keep going. Rob declines to turn and simply waits to catch his opponent with a sidewalk slam. Nigel keps the momentum going and kicks his legs up and over, landing on his feet and picking Rob Riley up into a sidewalk slam of his own – no, he drops the man down HARD with a backbreaker! Riley’s body hits the mat and Nigel, as usual, takes the moment to show off his physique to the not-so-adoring fans. He waves them off, going for a cover…RILEY KICKS OUT!
Nigel confirms with the referee “that was really a two count? You sure?” before jerking Riley off the canvas. Pulling him back up with a front face lock, he hooks the arm up and over…he bring Rob up…and down with a nice vertical suplex! The ring shook at that one!
“Make sure D.C. Wiland sees this!” The crowd boos at Nigel, while Rupert tells them to be quiet. Nigel goes for a cover again, but Rob kicks out and this time Nigel knows it! The force sends Nigel far enough away for Rob to crawl to the ropes, using them to rise onto a standing base. Nigel, however, comes down onto him with a clubbing forearm to the back. Nigel sends him to the ropes…he misses with a superkick! ROB RILEY ROLLS HIM UP! Only a two count…Nigel kicks him in the gut! Could be a DDT…Rob hangs onto the ropes! Nigel with a double axe handle to the back…Nigel pulls him away from the ropes…Nigel goes for another superkick…ROB MOVED! Nigel is getting aggrivated! The crowd’s getting fired up…Nigel with a running lariat…Rob caught him! What a hiptoss! The ring ropes hit each other, that’s how hard Rob Riley slammed Nigel down to the mat! Nigel Kensington’s face is half-pain, half-embarassment! Rob’s going to the apron…climbing the turnbuckles…what’s he going for? Rob Riley comes off the top rope…NIGEL KENSINGTON CAUGHT HIM WITH A CUTTER! He rolls him over…a cover…the count….and Nigel puts his foot on the ropes at two for leverage, to keep Rob Riley down for the three!
Winner: Nigel Kensington III
That was shaping up to be a great match…and it was. But that ending, though. Nigel Kensington III, running his mouth the whole time about how D.C. Wiland was next…while Rob Riley, on his knees, was being told by the livid fans about Nigel’s foot. Alas, for it was too late now. Nothing could be done now, except get ready for the next battle.
And now it’s time for the 2014 Open House! Last year, we had twenty contestants battling it out to determine who would win the prize of 10,000 British pounds as well as a shot at the GFC World Heavyweight Championship! Like this year, the match was open to outsiders as well as any FRONTIER member. Madman Szalinski, then representing a different promotion, signed up and openly stated he did not want the cash or title shot if he somehow managed to win…which he did! We all know the story that unfolded afterwards, from Madman’s signing to the saga surrounding the GFC Commonwealth Championship, a belt Madman chose to pursue instead of the GFC World Heavyweight Championship.
In 2014, the winner will still receive the cash prize of 10,000…but the title shot will be for the GFC Commonwealth Championship! Who will rise up to win this year’s Open House? Will it be one of FRONTIER’s stars, or a newcomer to the Isles’ premier home for professional wrestling?
Open House Battle Royal
Winner Receives Shot At GFC Commonwealth Championship
Okay, a quick note before we begin: the first two competitors will go at it for three minutes each. After that, we’ll get somebody new every two minutes. When we have gotten down to the final two in the match, pinfalls and submissions will count as an elimination, on top of the traditional over the top rope, both feet to the floor. Got it?
And here we go! We’ve got ten participants tonight ready to see who’s going to walk out of here with that Commonwealth title shot. And who is the unlucky contestant who drew number one? “No Good Advice” blasts over the PA, letting everybody know that Evangelista is the one who has to go the gauntlet in order to win tonight. And even though she’s happy that the crowd loves her, you could just still see it in her face…the deep breath she took on the way to the ring just said it all. Evangelista waited in the ring for number two…and when “Ducktales: The Moon” hit nobody (least of all Evangelista) expected to see Ariel Shadows coming down the aisle!
Ariel slid into the ring, getting in a fist-tap to Eva before the two back up, the official inside and officials outside of the ring all waving off to ring the bell. Once it rings, Eva and Ariel circle off while the crowd pounds on the bleachers, getting a rhythm going. The two lock up…Ariel with an arm ringer, drop toe takedown, side headlock-no, Eva’s back up with a hammerlock, twists Ariel around into a front face lock…could be a suplex here…Ariel lands on her feet! She goes to the ropes…Eva ducks the spinning kick! Ariel’s still on her feet! She comes back again…Eva with a monkey flip! Ariel rolls through! Eva kips up! These two girls are on fire! Eva’s gonna throw Ariel over! Ariel springboards back into the ring! Ariel’s got Eva over…no! Eva skins the cat back in! JUMPING SPIN KICK BY ARIEL SHADOWS! Ariel yanked Eva to her feet, tried to throw her over, but Eva hung on yet again, legscissors onto the ropes…Ariel’s coming at her again…Eva catches her on the ropes…WHAT A SWINGING NECKBREAKER! Ariel just about went THROUGH the mat! The crowd is stunned! And everybody forgot that we still had eight more entrants until the timer went off…
Mr. Rottentreats is number three! And the crowd is booing the whole time! Treats takes his good old time coming down to the ring, while Ariel and Eva wriggle back and forth with a double wristlock. He feigns sliding into the ring, but stops and shakes his head. Evangelista gets the better of Ariel, pulling her to the corner and trying to flip her over the ropes. Treats takes one step up the ring steps, but backs down again (to the jeering of the fans.) Soaking in all the time he can, Treats takes two steps this time, almost getting onto the apron. He reaches for the ropes…but jumps off onto the floor again, this time the crowd booing loudly enough to get the attention of Evangelista and Ariel Shadows (the latter on the mat near the ropes.)
Treats looks at both women in the ring, chuckling to himself. Eva gestures for the masked clown to step into the ring, but he laughs it off. Ariel now rises, looking down as well. Treats doesn’t have to get in the ring…unless he doesn’t want to win the match! Ariel walks over his direction, preparing to throw a kick. Treats backs away from the apron, out of reach. And that’s when the buzzer sounded for number four…which was Jason X!
Treats had nowhere to run! Jason X caught him, and rolled him right into the ring! Eva and Ariel went back to trading moves in the corner while Jason X began to lay a beating down onto a retreating Treats! With Rottentreats in the corner, Jason X started to lay in the stomps while the crowd loved every minute of it! Jason grabbed him up, went to throw him out…but Treats held on! Eva whips Ariel across the ring and lays her down with a beautiful double underhook suplex! Treats with a thumb to the eye, getting away for a breather on Jason X…Eva approaches Treats, and she gets a kick to the gut. Treats trying to back up into the corner..JESUS CHRIST! Ariel Shadows hit a kick on Jason X’s back so hard, one of the buckles on her kickpad just flew off! Jason is slow to get up, but he is MAD! Ariel’s looking him down…Treats blindsides her from behind! He’s going to throw her out…NO! JASON X JUST SHOVED THEM BOTH OVER! AND ARIEL SHADOWS JUST LANDED ON MR. ROTTENTREATS! We got our fifth entrant coming out, but Ariel and Treats arguing with one another the whole way to the back was gold. I thought Ariel was gonna smack him, I really did! Especially after Treats swiped at her hair and ran off!
Ariel Shadows & Mr. Rottentreats have been eliminated!
Number five was Kage Kunshu, a newcomer to FRONTIER who is taking advantage of the Open House. He doesn’t even have to wait for the ink on his contract to get dry! Kage steps through the ropes, where Jason X awaits to lay a forearm into him. Undeterred, Kage throws a vicious backhand chop to Jason’s chest. Jason tries another forearm, but only gets a second chop that makes him stop for a moment. Eva rushes in, throwing a side kick, but that is caught and she is sent flying over with a dragon screw takedown. Jason catches him up in a waistlock…German suplex to Kage Kunshu! All three of them are down now…and it’s time for number six!
OOKAMI no Chi, the Japanese star from FRONTLINE, gets a decent ovation on her cheerful jog to the ring. Evangelista and Chi seem to pair off as they each target another member of the match. Jason X is taken down with a headscissors by OOKAMI while Eva backs Kage to the ropes. Eva has to be careful when Kage almost threw her over, but she got her feet on the apron in time. Meanwhile, Jason is about to flapjack OOKAMI HIGH into the air…OOKAMI NO CHI WITH AN ARMDRAG! The crowd is loving it! Eva and Kage are trading elbows in the center of the ring! EVA WITH A LEG SWEEP OUT OF NOWHERE! AND JASON X LEVELS HER WITH A RUNNING CLOTHESLINE! OOKAMI NO CHI WITH A RUNNING DROPKICK TO JASON X! AND KAGE KUNSHU PUTS HER DOWN WITH A RUNNING KNEELIFT! Everyone is reeling! And it’s only about to get worse…
…because number seven is Magnus Gunner, GDW owner turned FRONTIER competitor! While not sauntering as slow as Rottentreats, Gunner is still cautious on his way to the ring not to expend energy in involving himself with the brawl early. But when he got there, he at least got straight into the ring. Once there, he and Kage Kunshu squared off in the middle of the squared circle while Evangelista and OOKAMI no Chi tried to double-team Jason X over the ropes. Jason hung on, sliding underneath the bottom rope…Kage Kunshu steps over him, bouncing off the ropes after an Irish whip…Magnus Gunner with a massive spinebuster to Kage Kunshu! Wait! OOKAMI no Chi charges at Evangelista and gets backdropped all the way to elimination!
OOKAMI no Chi has been eliminated!
Evangelista now tripping up Gunner with a leg trip…Jason X trying to get Kage’s feet over the top rope…and it’s time for number eight! Pat Gordon Jnr. is our eighth entrant, and the crowd loves him too! Pat slaps hands, jogging half the way down and sprinting the other half. Pat went right for Magnus Gunner, shoving him back into the corner and delivering a sharp European uppercut. Evangelista now thinking about working on Kage Kunshu, but she’s spun around and dropped with a DDT by Jason X. Kage Kunshu runs at Pat Gordon Jnr. with a clothesline, trying to get him up and over…Pat hangs on. A short right to get Kage out of his face…and Pat starts working on Jason X in the corner! Evangelista’s in the corner trying to breathe, while Magnus Gunner has now clashed with Kage Kunshu over on the other side of the ring. You know there’s never much technical prowess in a battle royal, but these competitors are definitely showing the shinier side of brawling here tonight! Pat Gordon just reversed a Jason X lariat into a hammerlock, front face lock, and a DDT all in one! KAGE KUNSHU WITH A SHINING WIZARD ON EVA! Evangelista’s still on her feet…he’s about to send her over! MAGNUS GUNNER FROM BEHIND! That elbow to the back of the head…Kage Kunshu is down!
And we’ve still got a ninth entrant! Shane Tallin comes down, climbing into the ruckus and freezing up, hesitating. He didn’t know who to go after. Finally, Magnus Gunner made the decision for him with a spin and a right hand. Pat Gordon has Jason X in the corner again, Evangelista is pulling Kage Kunshu to the ropes. Pat whips Jason to the ropes, a reversal by Jason…OH MY GOD! Pat Gordon just collided with Shane Tallin right at the ropes! Shane Tallin is out!
Shane Tallin has been eliminated!
I have a feeling that clip will be posted all over the Internet by morning! I mean to tell you, Pat didn’t see that coming and Shane Tallin CERTAINLY didn’t see that coming! Shane just went over the top and to the floor, and he’s still not up yet! Pat’s on all fours, he was busted open from that collision! Right on the head! Evangelista’s still got Kage backed up into the turnbuckles, she’s running into the corner…KAGE CAUGHT HER! He runs forward…spinebuster? NO! EXPLODER SUPLEX! Eva’s feet hit the buckles! Magnus Gunner is in the corner bent over, Jason X is holding onto the ropes to stand up, everybody is down…and whoever is the lucky duck to get this last spot in the Open House, they got a ring full of worn out combatants to pick off.
Number ten, the final entrant, is The Truth. Grinning ear-to-ear, Truth knows his odds and is quick to capitalize by getting right down to the ring…and stopping. Truth surveys the ring for a moment, then steps up to the apron and through the ropes. Shane Tallin is finally off the floor, and is able to leave under his own power (although holding his head the whole time.) Once in the ring, he continues to look around the field, as everyone else has now recovered enough to do the same. Everyone faced off…one of those six competitors was going to be the winner of the third annual Open House.
Evangelista, Pat Gordon Jnr., and Jason X form together first, approaching the other three men still in the ring. They go at it, each selecting Magnus Gunner, Kage Kunshu, and The Truth respectively. Pat Gordon Jnr. whips Kage to the ropes…Kage ducks the clothesline…EVANGELISTA MONKEY FLIPS KAGE ONTO MAGNUS GUNNER’S SHOULDERS….Magnus could powerbomb him, but they’re falling back! They just barely hung on, the both of them! I thought they were both goners there, Magnus about dropped them both back over the top! Kage Kunshu just saved them both from getting eliminated when he held onto that top rope! Jason X has The Truth in the corner…he’s trying to get him up, over, and out…Truth hangs on, gets in under the bottom rope. Evangelista is pounding on Kage Kunshu now, and Pat Gordon is helping Magnus Gunner get back into the corner…no, Magnus turns it around and Pat Gordon Jnr. goes into the corner. Man, this thing is outright mayhem…
Kage Kunshu has Evangelista over his shoulders in a standing fireman’s carry…he spins around and Eva’s feet bounce right off Magnus Gunner’s unsuspecting face! Kage Kunshu slams Eva down to the mat as Pat Gordon Jnr. finishes tossing Magnus Gunner over the ropes and to the floor. Meanwhile, Truth ducks a Jason X elbow, but can’t duck Evangelista’s axe kick that came down like its namesake on the back of his head.
Magnus Gunner has been eliminated!
Truth stumbles around the ring; where Pat Gordon Jnr. stops him, slaps him with with a vicious European uppercut (making the crowd go “OOOH!!!”) and whips him over to Kage Kunshu, who lifts Truth onto his shoulders into a standing fireman’s…walks over to the ropes…and eliminates him!’
The Truth has been eliminated!
Jason X just got backdropped over the top rope by Pat Gordon Jnr. not a half a second later!
Jason X has been eliminated!
Evangelista suddenly whips Pat Gordon Jnr. towards Kage, who brings Pat up high into the air. Pat comes down behind Kage’s shoulders, but over the ropes on the ring apron. Kage throws a backhand chop, bit Pat grabs onto the top rope and lays low to avoid it. A shoulder to the gut saves Pat from immediate elimination, but Evangelista sprints up the turnbuckles, ready to springboard off at him…instead, she leaps onto Kage’s shoulders and gives him an amazing hurricanrana to flip him over the top rope and onto the apron, then the floor as she skins the cat to stay in the match, the fans showering her with adorement for such a great move!
Kage Kunshu has been eliminated!
We’re down to two competitors! Pat Gordon Jnr. and Evangelista!
Pinfalls and submissions now apply!
The crowd is dueling with a loud “Let’s go Eva! / Let’s go Pat!” chant as both competitors stop to catch their breaths. Pat leans back in one corner looking over at Eva doing the same in hers. Evangelista has gone the distance in this battle royal, outlasting the entire twenty-plus minutes of the match thus far! They’re still going to go at it with everything they’ve got!
HERE WE GO! Eva with a high kick! Pat slaps it away! Pat with a forearm! Eva blocks it! They’re shoving each other around…Pat goes behind! German suplex…Exa lands on her feet! Pat plants his feet in her gut, flips her over! Eva rolls away! Pat rolls back! The crowd is going WILD! They go again! Eva jumps up high, hurricanrana! She holds on for a pin! One…two…no! Pat flips her over into a sunset flip! One! Two! Eva gets out! Inside cradle by Evangelista! One! Two! Pat gets out! Backslide by Pat Gordon Jnr. gets a one…a two…Evangelista is out! Come on, let me catch my breath! They get back up! How is Eva still going? Pat, for that matter?
EVANGELISTA JUST KICKED PAT GORDON JNR.’S LIGHTS OUT! He’s staggering around…Eva goes off the ropes, she’s running back…Pat sidesteps it! Eva springboards up…Pat’s gonna push her off! EVANGELISTA TAKES PAT DOWN WITH AN ARMDRAG! They’re both back in the middle of the ring, and Evangelista’s got the upper hand! Evangelista brings Pat back up…she’s going for the Headbreaker! Pat gets out just in time! He’s behind Eva…German suplex coming…NOT THAT HIGH PAT!
Evangelista’s pelvis actually rose over Pat’s head as he went for the German suplex. But wait…Evangelista rolls Pat up! Victory roll!
One!
Eva’s holding down both legs and laying on them!
Two!
She holds a fist up, not that high, as Pat tries with one final lean to break the pinfall.
THREE!
Pat Gordon Jnr. has been eliminated!
Pat just sat there in disbelief, yet he seemed okay with it. Eva, on the other hand, had to be told no less than five times by the referee that she had indeed scored a three-count. Once it sinks in, Pat walks over to Eva, holding onto the rope to stand. Pat raises her hand, getting an even louder cheer from an already deafening capacity crowd.
Winner: Evangelista
Pat showed the utmost of respect, giving Evangelista a light mutual touch on the shoulder and nod before exiting the ring, allowing Eva to have her moment. She posed on the turnbuckles a bit, she thanked some fans on the way out, but beyond that Eva was just glad it was over…and even more glad to be the 2014 Open House winner, 10,000 pounds richer…and perhaps most importantly the number one contender for the GFC Commonwealth Championship.

We open on to a shot of a ladder.
Michael: Up here.
As the camera moves up we see Michael Hopkins sat on top of the ladder looking down in to the camera.
Michael: I know, I know I am so cliché doing a ladder match promo on top of a ladder but I don’t care. Jay Pride I have said already how much respect I have for you and your ability in the ring and I know that out there tonight you are going to give everything you have to regain the World Title that Chandler took from you so many months ago and I can tell how much regaining it means to you. But know one thing tonight is my night and as long as I draw breathe neither yourself or Chandler will take this night from me. You’ve had your chance in the spotlight, you’ve held that prestigious belt, it’s my turn now and as long as I am able to, every time you think that you have that belt firmly in your grasp I will be right there to knock your hands away and kick you back down to Earth and experience Gravity making you it’s Bitch. But should you manage to walk away from here as Champion then be sure of one thing, I am first in line to congratulate you.
Michael: Now Chandler Scott, World Champion, you’ve been running your little mouth again haven’t you. Look let me just get one thing straight here, you keep running around belittling me and belittling my accomplishments and my talent and telling anyone who listens that I don’t belong in the main events like Chandler Scott. I am not deserving of sharing a ring with Chandler Scott. I will never be as good as Chandler Scott. For two fucking years all you have done is put me down. And for two years I have had to put up with it because as you said I buckled under the pressure in the spotlight. No more. I will tolerate it no more. This night will change everything because this will be different this time. I will not lose. For you or Jay Pride to stop me from achieving the feat of beating you and becoming World Champion you’re gonna have to kill me and if the last two years are anything to go by, you can’t finish me off. So yeah you are right January 5th, tonight, we will be done with each other because I will finally get the monkey off my back and I will finally beat you. Tonight I am going to hurt you Chandler. First I will batter your body and cripple it and then I will hurt you emotionally whilst I pull that belt down and take away your most dearest of procession. I am the next World Champion not because some award says so but because I say so and I will make it so. Hold your belt for one last time Chandler because tonight when all the fans have left and the ring is put away that belt is coming home to Wales with me.
Michael jumps down off the ladder in slow motion and lands on his feet.
Michael: And boys its best you start praying that you survive The Welsh Dragon.
Back to the action.

Next up we have a non-title match featuring our new Commonwealth Champion, Summer Collins. That girl is sure full of “spirit” all right. Marie Jones would tell you she’s full of something else. In any case, whether Summer is happy about it or not, this match is taking place here tonight and all eyes are on Summer Collins after her big victory to win the title, capping off an unbeaten streak that has lasted throughout the latter half of 2013. Question is…can it last into 2014, or will Summer’s good luck end at the hands of one of GDW’s top stars?
– VIDEO –
Marie Jones makes her way to the ring first to a modest reaction from the fans, many of whom know her from her days competing in other organizations. Summer emerges from the curtain next to no music but has a microphone in hand. Apparently we’re about to hear from the GFC Commonwealth Champion…
Summer: Y’know something? I have done a lot of cool stuff for Frontier since I’ve been here! First of all, the mere presence of my sexy adorable body has caused ticket sales to go through the “bloody” roof, as you English-people like to say. And that’s not even to say the totally awesome in-ring action I provide to you people each and every day I compete! I am, like, nine and ZERO! I am YOUR Undefeated Cheerleader Extraordinaire GFC Commonwealth Champion!
She shakes her head as she continues her march to the ring.
Summer: And yet you guys are, like, totally not making me feel welcome! I mean, like, we had these totally awesome awards handed out and I did not get the GFC Award, even though everyone knows I was the one with the biggest breakout year. I did not get the Tom Billington Trophy even though everyone knows 2014 will be MY year! I didn’t even get wrestler of the year! I would almost believe that you guys don’t like me.
The crowd roars in agreement that they indeed do not like Summer.
Summer: But I know that’s not the case. I know that you guys love your cheerleader. I mean, how can you not adore this adorable body of mine in this cuuuuuuuute outfit? Hmmm?
She shakes her head.
Summer: You can’t resist me! So I know it must be coming from people who are jealous of my greatness! People like the jerks running things in the front office of Frontier. Horse losers like CJ Osborne who allowed that red-headed bimbo over there to come into a place where she is NOT wanted and compete against me!
She steps up onto the ring apron and points at Marie.
Summer: You are not welcome here, Marie! This is my turf, damn you, and tonight I….AAAACKKK!
Marie has had enough and she charges, knocking Summer off the apron and she hits the steel barricade on the outside.

Summer Collins (c) vs. Marie Jones

Marie leaps over the top with a corkscrew suicide dive plancha onto Summer. Marie whips Summer into the steel steps and then snap suplexes her on the outside. Marie rolls her back into the ring. Marie with a springboard hurricinrana take down onto Summer and then snaps off a Stubborn Bitch (shining wizard) kick. Marie goes in for a cover and Summer kicks out at two.
Jones whips Summer into the ropes and connects with a flapjack. Marie with a springboard into a Divine Impact (lionsault) for a cover and a near fall. Marie with a ddt. She goes up to the top and goes for a shooting star press but Summer moves out of the way just in time. Summer with a swinging neck breaker, a neck snapper, and then a neck vice. Marie fights back to her feet but Summer drops her with a hangman’s neck breaker. Summer reapplies the neck vice. Marie fights back to her feet but Summer drops her with a fisherman’s buster. Summer with a cover and a two.
Summer goes for a Money Clip but Marie fights out of it and goes for a superkick but Summer catches the foot, spins her around, and strikes the Money Clip. She covers and gets a near fall. Summer goes for the Stock Market Crash but Marie fights out of it, kicks her in the gut, and goes for a Hot Shot (pedigree) but Summer back drops out of it. Summer rolls her up, snatching a hold of the bottom rope for extra leverage and gets a three count for the victory.
Winner: Summer Collins!

Collins quickly rolls out of the ring and before Marie can have time to do anything about it, Summer snatches the GFC Commonwealth title belt and heads up to the top of the ramp.
Summer: TEN WINS, BABY! TEN AND ZERO! WHOO!
She stops at the top of the ramp and starts doing a cheer.
Summer: TEN AND ZERO! TEN AND ZERO!
She points at herself.
Summer: I AM A TEN!
She points out at Marie, who is still fuming in the ring.
Summer: AND YOU ARE A ZERO!
With that Marie jumps out of the ring and gives chase. Summer makes her exit through the curtain.

Well, this is it. Our Main Event is now upon us. For the first time in FRONTIER history, a ladder match will determine who walks out of the arena as the GFC World Heavyweight Champion. Two of these men have held that belt in 2013. One is widely considered most likely to hold it before the end of 2014. The fans love Jay Pride, and they love the Welsh Dragon. But they just love to hate the Harvard Hammer, Chandler Scott, that much more. And do you blame them? He’s cocky, arrogant, his friends in the Godfathers of Wrestling are big jerks…and worst of all, he can back it up. And in 2013, Chandler Scott backed it up against everybody he faced off against including Kevin Hardaway, Jay Pride, Madman Szalinski, and Michael Hopkins.
But Michael Hopkins just kept on coming. He kept on winning, earning his way back into the title picture. Ever since Michael’s debut in FRONTIER, he has done nothing but shoot for the moon. Another shooting star on the horizon is Jay Pride – although he’s more like a comet coming back around to blaze yet another mark in the skies. He’s been here before: in 2013, actually, when he won the GFC World title from Gabriel Gambino. When Chandler Scott defeated him to win the title, Jay took a little bit of time off before coming back with a vengeance. And finally, these three men’s paths have led them to this crossroads, where there is now only one way left to go…up. And the road to the top only has room for one.
MAIN EVENT
GFC World Heavyweight Championship
Ladder Match
Michael Hopkins vs. Jay Pride vs. Chandler Scott ©
“The Game” played first, and everybody knew who was coming out. Sporting a white FRONTIER T-shirt over his gear, Jay Pride gave the fans just as much love as they gave him. A lucky fan somewhere in the middle rows even got a free shirt. “Radioactive” got just an equal of a reaction. Michael Hopkins has won over many FRONTIER fans since his debut a few short months ago. Could tonight be his night, finally?
”Ride of the Valkyries” played last, and boy oh boy did the fans HATE it. Booing is not the word for it. This was one step below a riot. Chandler Scott did nothing more than grin, yelling out “Thank you! Thank you all!” as he smugly strutted himself and the GFC World Heavyweight Championship down to the ring. Once there, however, he made excuses to not hand the belt over to be suspended above the ring. There’s a smudge on it, I think he said. Or, he wanted to make sure that the buckles were all working right…I know the crowd was not too thrilled. That’s for sure. Finally, they got that thing snapped onto the cable and slowly, the belt was risen high…high…Jay Pride and Michael Hopkins watched on as the belt was risen…
And Chandler Scott jumps Michael Hopkins! The champ blindsides the man to start it off! Bell’s rung now! There’s no DQ, no countout, no pins, no tapouts! Get a ladder and get the belt, that’s all you can do here! Jay Pride wants some, but he’s knocked away! Chandler whips Michael to the ropes, shoulderblocking him hard on the rebound…but Hopkins stays solid! Chandler hits the ropes himself, coming back and plowing into Michael Hopkins. With eyes wide, Michael wags a finger. Chandler hits the ropes again, coming back at Hopkins one last time. He stops short, and gives him a kneelift to the gut instead. Sneaking behind Chandler, Jay gets him in a waistlock, using that to pull him back. Lifting him for a German suplex, Michael Hopkins takes two or three steps up…and Chandler Scott is drilled with the German/clothesline combination! He rolls out of the ring! Jay and Michael are stalking him from inside the ring! Chandler goes under the ring…is it time for a ladder? He finds out…he pulls it out about halfway, but stops and waves it off. “That one’s too cheap…”
Chandler goes around to another side of the ring, stepping quickly when Jay feigns a baseball slide. He begins to pull out a second ladder, using the aisle to reveal it completely. He places one end of the 4m ladder on the ring apron. Chandler looks around as the fans begins cheering (Michael Hopkins’ middle finger in Chandler’s direction being the source) and acts as if he is going to put the ladder back…and that’s when Jay Pride slides into the ladder, kicking it right back into Chandler’s chest!
While on the floor, Chandler drops the ladder. Hopkins slides to the floor, going right after him. Jay is content to remain in the ring as Hopkins tosses Chandler into the railing, getting a large cheer. Michael drags Chandler over to the apron, grabbing onto the ladder and sliding it into the ring with one hand. Once he lets go, he lays a right hand into Chandler. Jay finally decides to go to the floor and join in on the action.
Trying to nudge Michael aside, Jay throws a stomp onto Chandler as he lays on the floor. Michael nudges back, trying to grab Chandler by the hair and neck to bring him back up. Jay butts in once again, literally using his hips to shove back and try to throw another stomp. At this point, Hopkins violently shoves Jay Pride to the floor and goes back to Chandler. Jay gets back up, dusting himself off..and he just laid into Michael with a forearm! Michael Hopkins and Jay Pride go at it right in front of the fans! Jay with a pair of rights…he throws Michael over the barricade! Pride turns around, and Chandler Scott was waiting! Chandler with a toe kick in the gut, and he rolls Jay back into the ring!
Chandler’s got Jay in an abdominal stretch! There’s no submissions, so he must be trying to hurt Jay to the point he can’t climb the ladder…wait, I see! Chandler brings him up, might be a pumphandle slam…NO! A BACKBREAKER! Scott smiles and goes towards the ladder in the ring. I think he’s going to try and set this thing up…Hopkins is back in there! He shoves Chandler from behind! Chandler face first into the ladder, and they’re both stacked up in the corner…MICHAEL HOPKINS WITH A SPEAR RIGHT INTO CHANDLER’S BACK! Chandler falls down, and the ladder to his side.
Now Hopkins has the ladder. He’s setting it up in the middle of the ring. Jay’s not gonna let him climb it. Jay backs Michael to the corner, chops him in the chest…Michael ducks a back elbow and now it’s Jay in the corner taking hits! A chop, an elbow! Another elbow! Michael picks Jay up! He’s sitting on the top turnbuckle! Michael on the middle rope, maybe a top rope urinage? No, I think he wants to hit a C4 on Jay Pride! Chandler Scott’s coming! MICHAEL HOPKINS HITS THE C4 ON JAY PRIDE ON CHANDLER SCOTT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RING! ALL THREE MEN AND THE LADDER ARE DOWN!
The fans tried their best to blow the roof off, starting a major “THIS IS FRONTIER!” chant. It took them all a minute or two,but everyone finally got up and ready for more. Chandler went to the floor when Michael and Jay began trading strikes. Michael finally thinks he knocked Jay to the floor, but Jay’s still on the apron. He sets up the 4m ladder and looks to climb, but Jay walks up and grabs onto the ladder when Michael takes a step. Michael and Jay soon found themselves on opposite sides of the ladder, jockeying for position. Michael shoves forward, Jay tried to pull back, eventually Jay found himself in the corner, with Michael shoving the ladder into him! Michael steps back…he’s still holding that ladder! CHANDLER SCOTT WITH A SECOND LADDER TO MICHAEL! He hit ladder with ladder, and ladder hit the Welsh Dragon’s face!
This ladder is also 4m, so Chandler is able to set it up and reach the belt. Chandler positions the feet where he wants them, and begins to take steps. Two steps in, and he stops to wipe sweat off his forehead mockingly. Three steps up, and Jay finally begins to stir in the corner. Michael is still stirring on the mat, with what looked like blood coming down from his face. Jay runs over to the ladder, trying to get up the opposite side. He met Chandler on the fifth rung, just two steps away from reaching the GFC World Heavyweight Championship. Chandler and Jay met each other first, trading a pair of carefully placed right hands. Neither noticed Michael Hopkins setting up the other ladder near them. Back to trading hands, Chandler almost knocks Jay off but he is able to clutch the ladder and stay up. Chandler, likewise, is almost tumbled following a Jay Pride forearm. Both men hang on, preparing to step up to the sixth rung.
It was that moment that Michael Hopkins leaped from his ladder, pushing Chandler, Jay, and both ladders down in the process! For the second time, everybody is left laying on the mat. With two ladders now occupying the ring, there is not a lot of room to breathe. Michael is up first, going for one of the fallen ladders. Chandler Scott went for one of his own, and they both sat up beside one another. When Michael tried to climb his ladder, he was grabbed up by the champion and driven to the mat with a German suplex. Scott paces around for a bit…he might be trying to go up the ladder…no, he’s not! Michael Hopkins is getting back up! Chandler goes over, and keeps the man down with a stomp. He lifts an elbow…lets everybody know where that elbow’s going to go…AND JAY PRIDE OUT OF NOWHERE TO CATCH HIS ARM, SPIN HIM OVER, AND DROP HIM WITH AN ARMBREAKER! Jay Pride is going to go up the ladder!
Chandler and Michael are stirring to life…Michael’s going up his own ladder, Chandler’s going up the side opposite Jay! Jay’s almost there, the belt’s swinging with every brush of the fingertips! Michael’s trying to reach to shove Jay off! Chandler’s up there! He’s got a hold of the belt! Jay has a hold of the belt! Now Michael’s reaching over…they all have a hand on the title belt! All three of them! Michael Hopkins better be careful, he’s gonna lean too far…CHANDLER SCOTT WITH A HARVARD HAMMER TO MICHAEL HOPKINS! HOPKINS GOES DOWN! He hit him and stayed on the ladder! Jay Pride’s got a hold of Chandler…he’s got him in a bicep slicer! They’re swaying high atop the ladders! Chandler’s yelling his head off, these fans are screaming, I couldn’t hear myself think at all, and that title belt’s right there by their heads! Jay lets go and turns his attention back to that GFC World Heavyweight Championship…Jay’s reaching for that belt…Chandler’s about to lose his title! Jay can’t get the buttons loose! The belt is barely hanging on…just one more button to go! CHANDLER WITH A HARVARD HAMMER OUT OF NOWHERE TO JAY PRIDE! AND HE SMACKS THE TITLE OFF HIS FACE BEFORE UNDOING THE LAST BUTTON!
Winner: Chandler Scott
Harvard’s golden boy has done it yet again….vanquishing two of his contenders in a grueling ladder match! But, the champion’s night was not yet over…
– VIDEO –
Jay Pride falls to the canvas, landing on his feet from the ladder and then falling back. While there, he can only hold onto his chest and look up, seeing Chandler Scott hold the GFC World Heavyweight Championship high. Michael Hopkins, now on his feet, looks up as well with a scowl of disappointment. Chandler briefly looks down towards him, as the Welsh Dragon nods and raises a hand up towards Chandler out of respect. Despite having stepped down far enough to reach him, Chandler merely holds out his title and points toward himself, getting major boos from the crowd. Shaking his head, Michael Hopkins turns to leave, as Jay Pride has already stepped to the apron.
At this point, the crowd is shocked and abruptly goes wild. Hopkins dodges back as the blurry figure of Graham Clauson flies past him, sliding into the ring and ditching his black cap. Halfway down the ladder, Chandler jumps off in defense as Graham charges forward, shoving the ladder over. At first, Chandler conveys that he may be willing to stand his ground, clutching the title belt and preparing to strike at Graham…but when Graham immediately picks up the ladder, Scott bails to the floor just in time as Clauson swings the ladder in the direction Chandler had been standing.
Now outside the ring, Scott has to duck once again as Graham vengefully chucks the ladder over his head and over the top, towards Chandler. Jumping back, Chandler avoids the ladder by mere inches and slowly steps back, looking down into the ring as Graham screams unintelligible curses and vents. Clauson points down the ramp, standing still for the first time since he arrived in the arena. Chandler can only hold onto his title and mouth off “that’s okay, that’s okay…” while standing atop the ramp.

WHAT. A. MATCH. And what an ending! Between FRONTIER and FGA there is no love lost between Chandler Scott and Madman Szalinski…but why Graham Clauson with the assault? And what about that ladder match? Michael Hopkins and Jay Pride gave this one everything they had and then some…but in the end, Chandler Scott walked out of the 2014 Open House the way he walked in…as GFC World Heavyweight Champion! But 2014 is a young year…and it looks like he may already have one new face to worry about!
And THAT was Open House 2014! What an insane night, from top to bottom! How are things going to pan out from here? How will this affect Unsanctioned II on February 1st? First we’ll have to see how what fall out we see when FRONTIER meets again on January 19th at Skydome Arena in Coventry.
