We’re here at the Capital FM Arena in Nottingham…this building said it could only hold 10,000 people for tonight’s tournament, but it looks like half the East Midlands showed up tonight! And we’ve had the doors open all day for them! Fans have been meeting their favorite FRONTIER stars, and a few of the guest teams in tonight’s tournament. The GFC Tag Team Champions, the Shoot Kings, they have just been bouncing around in and out, having all kinds of fun…Madman Szalinski in particular. He really has the Christmas spirit today, running around with a Santa hat and making sure everyone who showed up tonight got their money’s worth well before the bell ever rang for tonight’s action.

For those may not have known this years Invitational featured tag teams, with the the winning team received a shot at the GFC Tag Team Championships at a show of their choosing. However, that shot must be taken within one year or the shot will be forfeited. Now for a quick rundown of the tag team involved this year. Dragons Unleashed, formally known as the UK Dragons. Joining them are established tag teams in Godfathers of Wrestling, The Rapture, Best of British, and Total War. The two wildcards teams being that of Pat Gordon Jr teams with the returning Kevin Hardway. Alex Jones will team with “The Welsh Dragon” Michael Hopkins. Anyone of these teams could win a chance to face the GFC Tag Team Champions, The Shoot Kings.

Speaking of the Shoot Kings, they also are in this tournament. Since they are the tag team champions and can’t win a shot at the titles they already hold, they are fighting for different chance. Should they win, the Shoot Kings will both be awarded a shot at the GFC World Heavyweight Championship. Which gives this tournament a slight twist. No matter who wins it all in the end, this is sure to be a fantastic show.

Laurel Anne Hardy and Evangelista are sitting in a quiet backstage area, making final preparations for their match. Jay Pride is with them, in street clothes.

Evangelista: Ugh. Why did we have to draw the scariest team in the first round?

Laurel Anne Hardy: Oh come on, Ell. You’d be sayin’ that no matter who we had.

Evangelista: Yeah, but there’s only a couple of teams I’d actually mean it about. Or at least…

She shudders.

Evangelista: …in THAT sense.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Look at it like this: if we start with the most experienced team in this thing, the matches after’ll be easier, yeh?

Evangelista: Oh, thanks. That’s dead reassuring, that is.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Hey, if you ain’t practically pukin’ with excitement, it ain’t worth doin’.

Evangelista: Bloody hell, you’re so charming.

Hardy shoots Evangelista a quick frown, and they both fall quiet. Jay coughs.

Jay Pride: Well listen. Like you said, you might have three matches tonight. You gotta remember to pace yourselves, more than ever. I cannae believe I’m even saying this, but… if ever ‘work smarter, not harder’ was applicable, it’s now.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Oh yeah. I for one sure as hell don’t wanna be in three long drawn-out epics in one night. We gotta try and win quick… but we gotta try and win quick with guile, not force.

Evangelista: You mean we gotta outsmart Sophie O’Brian?

Jay Pride: Not necessarily. You have to outsmart Mark O’Brian. You just have to make sure Sophie can’t make the save.

Evangelista: Oh, that easy, huh?

???: I don’t know about that. I’m pretty sure if you hit them in the head with enough feet in a matter of seconds, you don’t need much of a real plan.

A voice comes from off camera, and as the Dragons and Jay both glance in the direction of the door, the camera pans to see a red headed man standing in the room. He smirks, if not in a lazy fashion, and a small pop comes from the crowd.

Shane Tallin: At least that approach never seems to fail me.

The Dragons’ faces both break into massive excited smiles, and they stand up and rush over, both throwing their arms around him.

Laurel Anne Hardy: SHANE!

Tallin staggers back as the Dragons collide with him and he tentatively gives them both a slightly awkward clap on the back.

Shane Tallin: I didn’t need to be in the area for another week or so, but Rowan wouldn’t let me forget about the tournament. So I figured I would fly in early.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Aw! Come to see us sweep this shit? See me take home yet another tournament trophy?

Evangelista: It’s good to see you, Shane. Oh, have you and Jay met? Shane, Jay. Jay, Shane.

Jay extends a hand to Shane.

Jay Pride: By reputation only. Nice to meet you, mate.

Tallin slaps his hand to Jay’s and nods.

Shane Tallin: Yeah man, big fan of your work actually. Wish I had the patience for the more technical game.

Jay Pride: Aye, likewise. I enjoy the more new-school lucharesu type stuff you do too – I just ain’t built for it, unfortunately.

Tallin glances down at his right knee. Then casts a smirk to the Dragons.

Shane Tallin: I’m probably not built for it now myself. Hasn’t stopped me though. Reckless seems to be in my blood now.

Jay nods, remembering – as some of the fans might – the horrific knee injury Shane suffered a few years ago. He nudges Laurel and winks at her.

Jay Pride: Well this one definitely takes after you in those stakes. Long as she doesn’t go TOO reckless before the main event…

Shane Tallin: A little bit of crazy can’t hurt. Maybe break out some razor blades. Make everybody think she’s going to try and kill someone. A little intimidation never hurt anyone.

Jay Pride: Aye, just so long as she don’t get disqualified…

Laurel Anne Hardy: Excuse me, I’m right here?

The others turn to look at her. She looks a little indignant.

Shane Tallin: Jay’s right, I’m liable to get you guys disqualified. Though you should keep some of my tricks in mind if you want to put these matches away fast. Don’t get too flashy, but hit them constantly. Play a little bit of a striking game to put them off balance before you knock them down. Keep them guessing. You know the usual drill.

Leanne nods and smiles a predatory, anticipatory smile as Shane talks, while Leanne looks to Jay uncertainly.

Shane Tallin: Though I wasn’t kidding about that intimidation thing. Once you’ve taken the wind out of your sales. Maybe try and put it away in Jay’s fashion. Nothing more off putting to the other side than facing opponents who aren’t afraid to snap off some arms.

Evangelista: I know, we’re about to face two of them.

Laurel claps her on the back excitedly. She has a sadistic glint in her eye.

Laurel Anne Hardy: And so are they, babe.

There’s a rap on the door and a producer pokes her head around it.

Producer: You guys are up.

Laurel and Leanne take deep breaths, hug, and fist bump.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Showtime. Here we fuckin’ go.

Tallin smiles and claps Jay on the back before stuffing his hands in the pockets of his sweater.

Shane Tallin: Shall we go find some seats, Mr. Pride?

Jay Pride: After you, Mr Tallin.

And the group exits the room.

The first matchup of the tournament is sure to be a dandy. The team of Laurel Anne Hardy & Evangelista also know as Dragons Unleashed team up to take on Mark and Sophie O’Brian, Total war. These two teams are by far the most experienced and accomplished in the entire tournament. This in many ways is a dream match for the British wrestling fans.

Total War vs Dragons Unleashed

To no surprise, the crowd is split for these two. The match started off with Evangelista  and Sophie  squaring off. Sophie got the advantage locking Evangelista  in a side headlock. After a minute or so wrenching at her head, Sophie drove Evangelista face first into the mat with a bulldog. Sophie then tagged in Mark and the two went to work on Evangelista . Evangelista  got in several offensive moves in attempts to get to her corner, but the siblings had a counter for most of her attempts. Finally she was able to work up the energy after about five minutes to drop Mark with a Side Russian Leg Sweep. She then rolled over and tagged in Laurel Anne Hardy who came out like a house on fire. Sophie entered the ring illegally but was immediately drop kicked out by Laurel who then grabbed Mark and put him down with a huge tornado DDT.

Laurel uses her speed to keep Mark off balance before tagging Evangelista back in.  The Dragons  showed off their tag team prowess with some very quick tags wearing  Mark down.  Mark finally mustered the energy to catch Laurel, who was jumping from the middle rope for a cross body. He then threw her over head with a suplex. Laurel stumbles to her feet and is catched with a ring rocking spinebuster, followed by a pin attempt. Laurel was able to kick out after a two count. Mark reach out and tag in his sister. Sophie is quick to lock in an armbar to try and wear Laurel down more.

Now its time for the former GDW Tag Team Champions to show off how they operate as a team. Total War uses the cunning intelligence of Sophie and the pure power of Mark to isolate Laurel Anne Hardy from her partner Evangelista. Sophie with some vicious elbow strikes and a chin lock as she thinks about what to do next. Sophie tags her brother back in the match. Mark grabs Laurel and takes her down with a running powerslam. Mark with a pin but only getting a two count.

Suddenly the tide turns as Evangelista just about gets the hot tag and takes Sophie off her feet; she then avoids a backdrop and spin kicks Sophie right in the face. Evangelista gets two off a spinout powerbomb. Sophie comes back with a sit-out slam and gets two; She props Evangelista atop the ropes and says something to wind up Evangelista, who promptly SLAPS Sophie and leaps off the ropes into a Pinay Legsweep (Tornado into side Russian legsweep); Mark breaks up the following pinfall. Hardy rushes in and takes a charging Mark over the top with a body scissors. A frustrated Sophie then runs right into a running knee from Evangelista. Hardy tags as Evangelista hoists Sophie up and nails the“Party Hardy: The Hangover” – Fisherman suplex lift flipped into sitout powerbomb, Hardy adds a Stronger Than Dirt (Corkscrew shooting star elbow drop) from the top rope and she gets the pinfall.

Your Winner, Dragons Unleashed!

An exciting match won by the former GFC Tag Champs, Dragons Unleashed. A win like this in the opening round could be enough to propel the Dragons all the way to the finals.

The lights in the Capital FM Arena suddenly collapse into darkness. A hush comes over the Nottingham crowd.

Dave White: Fans, I apologize for the unexpected black out in the Capital FM Arena. I’m not sure what caused it but rest assured it is being investigated.

The silence is broken by the opening guitar/stomp run of “God’s Gonna Cut You Down” by Johnny Cash. The crowd grows anxious. Zippo lighters start to litter the darkness in the arena floor as people try to figure out the cause of the musical black out.

Dave White: Something tells me whoever caused this blackout is about to reveal him or herself!

Dave White is correct. When the legendary Johnny Cash begins the first stanza of his epic hit, a lone spotlight shines on the talent entrance. A monstuous hooded figure dressed in a long white sleeveless robe stands in the light with its hands clasped in front of it.

Dave White: This is an amazing, almost ethereal sight, fans! This man is awesome!

The man in white slowly lifts his hooded head and stretches out his right arm with his hand in a priestly gesture. In an exaggerated motion, the man in white does the “Sign of the Cross” over the Nottingham crowd then begins to make his way to ring with the spotlight following him overhead. The hooded man walks up the ring steps and through the ropes; long black strands of hair fall out of the hood as the man goes through the ropes. Once in the ring, he walks over to the ring attendant and motions for a mic. The ring attendant quickly obliges the hooded man as the entrance music fades. There is an audible hush in the crowd as the man in white stands in the middle of the ring, his face still hidden by the shadow created by the spotlight and hood.

Dave White: I’m hearing a faint chant from some of the fans with ringside seats. I can’t quite make it out.

As the man in the white sleeveless robe slowly raises the mic near his lips with right hand, the chant gets a little louder: “kris-tus, kris-tus, kris-tus!”

Man in White: Nottingham, England. Pro Wrestling FRONTIER. Behold! Salvation has come!

The deep American accent echoes in the arena as the crowd begins to respond with a small pop.

Dave White: WHOA! Is this who I think it is?! The fans at ringside think so!

The man in white lowers the mic to his chest and raises his left hand toward his hood. He slowly pulls it back as ringside fans go beserk! The hood comes down and…

Crowd: XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS!

Dave White: IT IS HIM! IT’S XRISTUS!

The pop in the Capital FM Arena grows to a nice pop with still many uncertain of the identity of the newest member of the FRONTIER roster. Almost as if sensing those uncertainty Dave White fills in the details as the hardcore fans continue to go ape-shit with the “Xristus” chant.

Dave White: This is an amazing turn of events! No one saw this coming! CJ Osborne has signed international superstar and former world champion, XRISTUS! This is going to change the landscape of FRONTIER immediately!

Xristus raises the mic to his lips once again and looks directly into the camera. The intensity in Xristus’ eyes tell a potent story.

Xristus: Listen to me, all of you here in Nottingham! Listen, one and all in the professional wrestling world! The God Most High called me before my birth. From within the womb he called me by my name. He will make my words of judgment sharp as swords. He has hidden me in the shadow of His hand; I am like a sharp arrow in His quiver.

He said to me, “You are my servant and you shall bring me glory.”

I replied, “Yes, LORD, I have worked tirelessly for the people but it all seems in vain; I have spent my strength for them and they still do no believe. Yet I will do as you ask of me, O LORD, for you are my reward.”

The LORD responded, “I will send you to a people who will believe and you shall restore that which was lost. I will make you a light to all who see you, even those who rejected you, and you shall bring my salvation to them too.”

Pro Wrestling FRONTIER… the wrestling community despises you. They reject you and keep you beneath their vile heel because you stand for a Code of Honor that is no longer respected in favor of greed, injustice, and power.

Therefore the LORD says to you, “The day is coming when those who oppress you shall stand at attention when you pass by; their leaders shall bow low because the LORD has chosen you. You shall shine like a beacon to the entire world. People from many lands and nations will come to you to learn your ways and find prosperity. I shall send my servant and he will lead you into a Reign of Honor never before seen in your lifetime. And those who worship injustice, greed, and power, I will command my servant to pour out my wrath upon them. He will eradicate the evil ones. He rectify wrongs committed against you. He will be your defender and your champion for I have placed my Spirit upon him. Heed his words and follow his steps. And you shall know my glory forever!”

Xristus raises his head and looks up into heavens while raising the mic to his lips once more.

Xristus: Pro Wrestling FRONTIER, salvation begins on Sunday, January 5th at the Open House Battle Royal. And Summer Collins? Repent, for your time is coming! Thy Kingdom Come, Thy Will Be Done!

“God’s Gonna Cut You Down” begins to play again. Xristus drops the mic and outstreches his arms forming a human cross and glares into the camera. After several intense moments, the spotlight shuts off leaving the Capital FM Arena dark once again. The crowd is raucously chanting the prophetic wrestler’s name.

Crowd: XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS! XRIS-TUS!

When Johnny Cash’s hit concludes at 2:50, the arena lights return.

Dave White: I am in shock, fans. Xristus is now a member of FRONTIER. He made a serious name for himself in XPW, NEW, and ACW in the States as well as in Mexico and Japan! The roster better raise its A-game because not only is Xristus a power wrestler, he was trained by international wrestling greats, El Hijo del Santo of Mexico and Jushin Thunder Liger of Japan! This is a powerful and agile force to be reckoned with! I can’t wait to see him in action in the Open House Battle Royal in Sheffield.

– /VIDEO –

Well fans that is FRONTIER newcomer, Xristus. He’s mad it know he plans to join in the Open House Battle Royal for the first show in 2014. A win there would make for one hell of an impact on his debut. Given his size, he might just be a dark horse favorite to win that match. However, before we look to far ahead we have another first match to get to.

The GFC Tag Team Champions, Madman Szalinski and Graham Clauson, The Shoot Kings will take on Michael Hopkins vs Alex Jones. Hopkins and Jones might be a new and some what random pairing, but they are both extremely talented and out to prove they can be tag team champions. Course the tag champs have an great opportunity on the line as well.

Shoot Kings vs Michael Hopkins vs Alex Jones

For their opening contest, both teams received major ovations upon entering the ring. All four men in the ring wasted no time getting there and despite still showing love for fans, kept their eyes and focuses on the match at hand. Well…okay, Madman did send a GoW collector’s edition cup from concessions across the building by place-kicking it from rngsde (to the arena’s overwhelming approval) and then doing the dance known as “Crip walking” to celebrate. When the dust all settled, it was just Michael Hopkins and Alex Jones (the latter starting out the match) staring off in their corner against the Shoot Kings, of which Graham has elected to stay in first.

They lock up…and almost mirror one another starting off. Graham shoves Alex down, but it does no good…Alex pops right back up and locks up with the man again. Alex shoves Graham down…Graham is right back up and in the mix! Alex is shoved back again…now Graham’s pushed off his feet…he rolls back to his feet, leans back to the ropes…Alex Jones with a drop toe hold! He pulls Graham up with a side headlock, but Graham is on him. A hammerlock…arm ringer…side headlock…hammerlock, again….side headlock and a takeover for Graham Clauson…no, they’re back up…Alex with a hammerlock; no, an arm ringer…he torques it one more time…and an armdrag! He keeps the arm hooked…only to pull Clauson back up and into his corner. Tag is made, and in comes Michael Hopkins.

Hopkins lays an elbow into the left shoulder of Graham, using arm control to turn the match into his team’s favor. With the first advantage of the match, Michael has to act quickly due to the shortened time limit of first round matches. Thus, his face displays a very pensive look as he cinches the arm lock, putting Graham down on one knee. Graham tries to get back up, but a forearm to the back stops him…or does it? Graham rises back up! He tries to get the wrist control back from Michael…he’s got the Welsh Dragon up in the air! Michael comes back down on his feet, but Graham gets the arm ringer reversed! The crowd bursts with excitement as Graham uses the arm ringer as mere leverage for a leap onto Michael’s shoulders and a hurricanrana! Michael barely has time to react as Graham careens across the ring, throwing two feet out in front of him and connecting with Hopkins’ side! Graham runs to the ropes again! Michael’s rolling out to the apron…here comes Graham one more time…Michael pulls down the bottom rope! BUT WAIT THERE’S MORE! GRAHAM CLAUSON STAYS ON THE APRON! MICHAEL HOPKINS IS IN THE RING! CLAUSON COMES IN WITH THE SPRINGBOARD! SUNSET FLIP! MICHAEL HOPKINS ROLLS OUT OF IT AT TWO! HE HAS CLAUSON BY THE LEGS! HOPKINS PICKS GRAHAM UP FROM THE CANVAS DEADWEIGHT!

It is so loud in this building…nobody can hear a thing but screaming! Graham’s hanging on…Michael’s looking for a place to drop him…Madman Szalinski makes the blind tag to Clauson…he’s jumping up to the top turnbuckle…HE’S GONNA HIT HIS OWN PARTNER?!?! Folks…I can’t do that one justice…Madman Szalinski tags into Graham Clauson, who is about to be powerbombed by Michael Hopkins….he jumps to the top turnbuckle, and he dropkicks HIS OWN PARTNER in the chest! However, Graham still hits a hurricanrana on Michael Hopkins, who can only hold his neck and turn to watch, along with Alex and everybody else, as Graham (clutching his chest) turns to yell at his now standing partner while sitting on his keister in the middle of the ring!

“What the hell, dude?” Graham waves his arms as he stands up. Madman yells as he walks around the ring. “It worked, didn’t it? ‘The fuck back on the apron, pimpin’!” The crowd laughs and applauds, Graham just smirking and taking his place back at his corner. Hopkins stands up, shaking his head, and moves over to tag in Alex Jones unchallenged.

Alex comes in quickly, going right for a chuckling Szalinski. They’re going for position, about to lock up…they finally lock horns in the center of the ring MADMAN’S GOT THE DEATHTRAP LOCKED INTO ALEX JONES! HE lS LAUGHING HIS HEAD OFF! MADMAN PULLS HIM DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE AND SNATCHES HIS HEAD UP! MADMAN’S GOT HIM! MADMAN’S SINGING CHRISTMAS CAROLS WHILE HE CHOKES OUT ALEX JONES!

“Last Christmas, I gave you my heart…but the very next day, you gave it away…”

Madman sticks his tongue out, and squeezes harder…Graham is coming into the ring to meet a charging Michael Hopkins…Alex Jones kicks his feet up into the air and rolls them over…he’s got the hold broken! Alex barely escaped that one…he swats Madman’s arms away and rolls over to get up…MADMAN LOCKS THE DEATHTRAP BACK IN! HE’S STILL SINGING!

“This year…to save all my tears…I’ll give it to someone special…”

Graham and Michael, shoving one another around, suddenly stop. Michael leans down, and hammers Madman across his face with a forearm! Graham shoves him back, and the crowd is torn from laughing or cheering! Finally, the referee gets Graham and Michael out of the ring. Michael reaches out and yells for a tag, while Graham just facepalms in the corner while shouting towards his partner “Boy George? Really?” Szalinski raises a middle finger while holding his face, as Alex Jones comes to a standing base. The crowd starts stomping away on the bleachers, while Madman finally gets ready to wrestle again with Alex Jones, deciding on giving it another go with one-half of the current GFC Tag Team champions.

Alex and Madman lock up, and Alex immediately goes behind Szalinski. Madman is lifted and dropped onto his stomach, but sits out when Jones keeps the waistlock tight. Both men get back to their feet, where Madman has elected to go for an arm ringer. He folds the arm upwards instead, pointing the elbow up. Moving behind Alex, he tries to slide another arm around to increase pressure. Jones has little of it and manages to get back around, twirling Szalinski’s arm into a wristlock. He lays a very sharp kick into Madman’s chest, and for the first time all night Madman Szalinski is not smiling. Alex throws a second one, slapping Madman n the chest with his shin. Szalnski puts one hand on Alex’s and raises the wristlocked arm, mouthing “again” to Alex. Alex throws the third kick, and the wrist lock is broken as both men step backwards. Madman throws an open hand strike at this point, slapping Alex Jones hard in the center of the ring. He raises his arms out, challenging Alex to come at him again. When Alex steps in with his shoulder low, Madman slaps in the Deathtrap one more time…With no where to go Alex Jones taps out as Clausen runs in to prevent Hopkins from breaking the hold.

Your Winner, Shoot Kings!

The Shoot Kings move forward to face Dragons Unleashed in the semi final round. A match that will undoubtedly be a classic, just as their first encounter was.

Clearly, the following is a promotional advertisement. We are immediately thrown into a scene where a Jeep Wrangler is shot from above doing doughnuts and fishtails in the sand. Looking inside, we see Madman Szalinski wearing a plain black mask, smiling with a rolled cigar lit and in his one hand (the other on the wheel.)

Madman: Melbourne, Australia! The end of the earth! The only place wild enough to hold this kind of pro wrestling action!

Looking back out, we see a flock of birds fly overhead, as a dusty Australian flag flies over a small outpost in the distance. Back into the Jeep with Madman, he takes a large hit and does another spin of the wheel.

Madman: We’ve got people from all over coming down for this one! February 1st and 2nd…Unsanctioned II, live on Pay Per View!

A kangaroo manages to jump into the Jeep as Madman slows down upon exiting a spinout. Madman and the kangaroo turn their heads and scream almost simultanenously. A caption follows below as Szalinski’s Jeep is now seen one last time from the beginning aerial shot.

Best of British vs The Rapture, this might just be the oddest match up of the weekend. Not because they are odd pairing, but the individuals are just odd. Can the BoB prove they are indeed the best of in Britain or will The Rapture strike?

Best of British vs The Rapture

The fans seem split; the controversial pairing of Brandon Banks and Zack Lifer draws a mixed response, while by virtue of being the home team, Best of British get a little bit of a pop for a change. Nigel and Brandon start. Control goes back and forth, with Brandon’s famed quickness and Nigel’s deceptive strength serving each man well. Nigel slowly takes control, keeping the former FWF World and PDW Prodigy Champion grounded, unable to find his agile strikes. Nigel gets a two count off an uranage backbreaker, then lifts Banks up for a stalling vertical suplex… but Banks drops behind and finds a straightjacket lungblower counter! Nigel bounces back up, but eats a Most Amazing Dropkick which buys Banks the time to vault into his corner and tag Lifer, while Nigel drags himself to his own corner to tag Rupert.

Zack springs into the ring and hits Rupert with a flying forearm, and as Rupert gets back up he’s brought straight back down with a clothesline. Lifer whips Rupes into the corner and comes in with a running knee, then starts stomping a mudhole in him. The referee warns Zack and orders him to break if off, but Lifer gets one last boot to the head in before obeying. Lifer walks around the ring shaking his head, like he’s trying to clear his thoughts. Nigel makes a grab for him, and the referee turns to admonish him – which Rupert capitalises on by sneaking out of the corner and low-blowing Zack! He rolls him up… NO! Banks sprints into the ring and kicks Rupert in the back of the neck, only to be taken down by Nigel.

As the ref attempts to hustle Nigel and Brandon out of the ring, Rupert goes for another low blow – but Zack has the same idea! The competitors end up with their arms tangled, and as they pull way from each other, Rupert snaps a superkick at Lifer, knocking him on his ass. But he himself is caught by a superkick too, as Banks hits him with a Bank Shot! The referee finally gets Brandon out of the ring while Zack pulls himself together. He spots Rupert lying splayed out on the mat, unconscious, and crawls over… but NK3 reaches through the ropes and grabs his leg, and pulls him back. Nigel yanks Lifer closer… but Zack spins and cracks an enzuigiri into the side of Nigel’s head! Zack drops down, and the referee starts counting both competitors out, but Zack pushes himself back up and walks over to Rupert on his knees. He goes for the cover…

…inside cradle from Rupert!

One!

Two!

Kickout. Lifer is still the more alert; he lifts Rupert and whips him into the ropes, and catches him with a dropkick on the way back. Cover attempt, kickout. He tags Banks back in, and Brandon sails down from the corner with a leg lariat to the rising Rupert. Banks kips up and runs the ropes, and comes back with a dropkick to the face as Rupert sits up. He covers, and Rupert only just kicks out in time. Another tag, and a double hangman’s neckbreaker from The Rapture. Lifer with the cover… Rupert still kicks out!

Lifer drops to his knees and signals for True Madness, his patented custom cutter. Rupert slowly gets upright, and Lifer jumps for him… no! Rupert shoves Zack away, almost making him crash into Brandon! Zack hits the brakes just in time, but is felled by a reverse bulldog from Rupert. Rupert spins up to one knee with his arms spread cockily, and Banks spits red Gatorade in his eyes! As Rupert desperately tries to clear away the stinging liquid, Nigel sprints into the ring and shoulder blocks Brandon right off the apron and into the barricade before dragging his own partner back to their corner and helping him clear his eyes. NK3 tags himself in, and crosses over to cover Zack.

One…

Easy kickout. Nigel signals for the Social Whirl neckbreaker and lifts Lifer up, but Banks slides in and tackles him down, seeking retribution for being knocked off the apron. As the two men brawl Lifer gets his head back together. The referee forces Brandon and Nigel apart and orders Brandon to leave the ring. There seems to a moment of tension between The Rapture, but Brandon persuades Zack to tag him in and after a hesitant moment, Zack relents. Brandon crosses over to Nigel and lifts him up for the BLUMPKIN DRIVAH, but Nigel rolls him into a pin! One… two… nope.

Both men jump up and start trading furious blows, each much more concerned with causing damage than protecting himself. Nigel whips Brandon into the ropes and looks for a powerslam on the way back, but Brandon rolls through for the escape and swings a kick at Nigel. Nigel ducks that and goes for a schoolboy but Banks backrolls up and dropkicks Nigel in the head. He turns and looks at Rupert, asking him how his eyes are with a swaggering smirk. Rupert swings a punch, which Banks calmly backsteps away from with a grin. He turns back to Nigel, and is met with a shot to the gut, but he fights through it and clubs Nigel on the back of the head. He lifts him to his feet, NK3 swaying unsteadily, and signals for the Eurodolo – a running sunset flip piledriver. But as he hits the ropes Rupert kicks him in the spine!

Brandon stumbles and hits Nigel at a slower than ideal pace, giving Nigel the opening to back body drop Banks. Banks pushes himself back up, but is caught out with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, and as Nigel stretches him out over his knee, Rupert sails down with a 450 splash, completing The Downtrodding! Nigel pins Brandon while Rupert prevents Zack from making the save, and this one is over!

Your Winner, Best of British!

Nigel and Rubert move forward to the Semis while Zach and Brandon get to head back the US early. The question is who which team will BoB face in the Semis?

Standing in the middle of the ring is CJ Osborne, the primary owner of Pro-Wrestling Frontier, dressed in a solid medium gray suit over a Lavender shirt and a match striped tie. He looks around  for a moment before bringing a microphone to his lips.

CJ: It’s been awhile since I’ve made the trip across the Atlantic for a Frontier show. In-fact the last time I stood in the this ring was the night I introduced Andreas Lasiewicz as the new General Manager, which is something I’m starting to regret.

The owner pauses a moment to allow the fan to boo and cheer, depending on their opinions on the General Manager.

CJ: Over the last few months there have been many mistakes made by the not only the General Manager but by Frontier President, Scott Mayo as well. Several wrestlers have contracted the Frontier offices to express interest in coming to our show, but talks have failed, if they were ever even called back to begin with. The security at Frontier show has been atrocious. Far to many uninvited guest have found their way back stage and to the ring. Champions contracts have been allowed to expire.

He lowers the microphone as he considers his next statement.

CJ: I hired both Andreas Lasiewicz and Scott Mayo to take care of the company and make sure if was run properly. They were hired to look out for the best interest of Frontier, something I do not believe was done. I stand here ninety eight days after control was handed over to those two men. Ninety eight days after they were both given specific directions to have Frontier TV ready by the end of the year. Here we are on the final show of 2013 and it saddens me to say that Frontier is not ready. Andreas Lasiewicz and Scott Mayo have failed. However, I can not place all the blame on them.

He shakes his head as he looks down.

CJ: I should have paid closer attention to what was going on here, for that I have failed. Now is not the time to hang heads in shame, but a time to work on getting it right. To work on correcting the wrongs. As was announced last week, Scott Mayo has been removed as the President of Frontier. I will be stepping in to handle his responsibilities, as I should have done from the beginning. The first wrong I want to make right is worst offense of all. That is the fact the contract of GFC World Heavyweight Champion, Chandler Scott has expired.

He pauses again as boos fill the arena. More so at the general dislike of the champion than the fact that he isn’t under contract.

CJ: Say what you will about Chandler, but there is no questioning the man’s ability. He has been the GFC World Champion for eight month. During which time he has defeated nearly every single member of the roster, and done so without cheating or relying on his friends. Chandler Scott is selfish and egotistical, but challenge you to point out any of the greats in this business that aren’t. With that said, as we speak a contract has been sent to Chandler Scott’s representatives. A contract that I believe will not only show Frontiers commitment to him, but also gives him a lot more money. We all know how much he likes that.

A few boos float around from the fans who hate Scott so much they wish he would die a very painful death..

CJ: As you all know this will be the final Frontier show of 2013. I feel that means we should be sure to open 2014 with a big show. We already know that Andreas Lasiewicz has scheduled two matches for the opening show. A grudge match between Rob Riley vs Nigel Kensington III and open house battle royal for the number one contendership to the Commonwealth Championship currently held by Summer Collins.

Fans start booing at the mention of of the Commonwealth Champion.

CJ: I however have some additions to make to that card.

He looks at the camera across the ring from him.

CJ: Don’t like it Lasiewicz? Start doing your job and I’ll stop undermining you.

He smiles and looks back out to the crowd.

CJ: The first match being a non-title match grudge match that I made via twitter last week, Summer Collins vs  Marie Jones. Now this second match will be one for the history books. The GFC World Heavyweight Championship will be defended in a match that has never been seen before at a Frontier show. Chandler Scott will defend against both Jay Pride and Michael Hopkins in a Ladder match.

Cheers fill the arena at the announcement for the next championship match.

CJ: We at Frontier would like to wish you all a happy holidays and enjoy the rest of the show.

When the brackets were announced, I think this was by far the most anticipated first round matchup. Just over a year ago Gordon and aArdway were waging war during FGA vs FRONTIER, and now they are taking on a group that has taken not only FRONTIER but the wrestling world by storm in 2013, The Godfathers of Wrestling.

Pat Gordon Jnr & Kevin Hardaway vs Godfathers of Wrestling

Collins and Hardaway lock it up in the center of the ring. Hardaway pushes Jonathan to the K-Hard/PGJR corner and Pat makes a blind tag. Kevin Snapmares Collins and Pat runs off the ropes, delivering a Sliding Lariat to the EXODUS Director. He locks in a grounded Sleeper variation, but Collins makes it to his feet and counters with a Stunner-like move. Pat stumbles and Jon Irish Whips him to the ropes. As he comes back, Collins armdrags him to the canvas and starts to work on the arm. Gordon gets to a standing position, turns around and goes for a Short Arm Lariat, but Jonathan ducks, gets behind Pat and hits a Saito Suplex for two.

PGJR is whipped to the corner of GOW and Collins makes a tag. Chandler chops Pat’s chest several times, then makes a tag to Collins again. Scott raises Gordon into a Stalling Suplex position, then Jonathan dives off the top rope with a Cross Body Block to finish the combo. He falls right into a pinning predicament, getting another nearfall. Frequent tags continue as Chandler enters the ring once more. Collins hits an Inverted DDT before getting behind the ring again and Scott goes for a Running Knee Drop, but Pat dodges and the World Champion lands on the canvas. Pat lands several kicks across the chest of the kneeling opponent, then drags him up to his feet, gets behind him and hits a German Suplex into a bridge. Chandler kicks out right at the count of two and gets Irish Whipped to the corner of the faces.

Gordon tags Kevin, then picks Chandler up for a Sidewalk Slam and Hardaway comes at him with a Diving Elbow Drop. Pin attempt leads to a two count again. Hardaway goes to show off his kicks – several of them rock Chandler, then a knee to the gut doubles him over. Kevin goes for the KTFO – he lands the stomp over the back of the head, but Scott ducks, dodging the Elbow Strike attempt and shoots for a Double Leg Takedown. He gets Hardaway into a submission he calls Harvard Crab, but after a short while, Pat Gordon Jr. decided to put a stop to it, enters the ring a breaks the submission attempt. Jon Collins enters the ring too and goes to attack Gordon, but he drops him over the ropes with a Drop-Toe-Hold. Chandler then surprises him with a Harvard Hammer and rocked Pat rolls out off the ring.

Hardaway comes at Chandler, but the champ drops him with a beautiful Spinebuster followed by a Jumping Elbow Drop for two. Referee orders Jon Collins to get back to his corner. Chandler picks Kevin up, but the former champion rocks him with an elbow to the face and a stiff European Uppercut that sends Scott on the canvas. Hardaway climbs the ropes and screams “HOPE IS NOT LOST!”, signalling for the Five Star Frog Splash, but as he dives off the turnbuckle, Scott gets his knees up! Hardaway rolls away and gets on his knees, but he’s not away from the danger as Jonathan Collins enters the ring again and hits him with Parallax Shock (Shining Wizard)! Pat Gordon Jr. comes back to the ring too, going to help his tag partner, but Collins catches him with a Rydeen Bomb. By that time, Scott picks Kevin up for a Powerbomb. Valediction is hit with perfection and gets GOW the one, two, three.

Your Winner, G.O.W!

A heart breaker for Kevin and Pat, and a great victory by Chandler and Jon. Godfathers of Wrestling will move forward to the semis to face BoB. The semi finals are set! Dragons Unleashed will face off against the Shoot Kings with the Godfathers of Wrestling vs Best of British. The winners will face off to determine who wins the 3rd annual GFC Invitational.
