As you know a chance at the GFC tag team championship. or a shot at the GFC World championship if the Shoot Kings win it all.

Evangelista breaks out with a wristlock and a hiptoss. Graham with the headscissors to break free. Evangelista rolls him up in a small package! The crowd counts again! 1…2…Clauson rolls Evangelista over! 1…2…they break loose and tag in their respective partners.

Madman steps through as Laurel jumps over, both meeting each other quickly in the center of the ring. Madman goes low, but Laurel leaps high. Madman goes for a jumping lariat, but Laurel rolls out of the way. Madman gets blasted in the face with a double foot dropkick. Laurel runs towards the ropes, bouncing off the middle rope with a springboard corkscrew senton! She connects. Laurel runs to the ropes again, but this time uses them to bounce back and jump from the ropes halfway across the ring, crashing both of her knees into Madman’s back.

The crown is clearly torn between the two fan favorite teams. The Madman and Laurel Anne have found their way to the floor. Madman goes to pull on Laurel, but gets no resistance as the count reaches five. Madman rolls her into the ring, quickly following her. He to use her legs and applies a Texas cloverleaf. She is able to reach the ropes, but Madman pulls her back, then lets go of her legs. Madman uses a front face lock to pull Laurel to her feet  and take Laurel over with a snap mare. Madman locks in a Buffalo sleeper. The fans on their feet cheering in anticipation. Laurel struggling to stay in the match as Szalinski rears back. Laurel fights back and manages to get a foot on the ropes to break the hold again. The Shoot Kings use their year of experience together to keep Hardy away from her partner.

Laurel manages to get some momentum of her own and charges at Graham full-speed, who lifts her high, preparing to hit a running powerbomb. However, Laurel flips him over with a hurricanrana! Graham pops back up and catches Laurel with a huge lariat. The ref gets in position for the count…1…2…Kickout. Graham uses a snap DDT yo put her down again, attempting another pin. The same result with Laurel kicking out. Graham stays on the offensive using a Spinning back fist, savate kick and then a swinging neck breaker to put the Dragon on the mat again.

Graham whips Laurel to the corner and follows with a big back elbow. He gets Laurel set for brainbuster but before he nails it Evangelista grabs him from behind. She blind tagged herself in! “Pinay Legsweep” – (Tornado into side Russian legsweep) She attempts a pin much to her surprise, he kicks out just before three.

The teams go back and forth for awhile, until Graham was able to hit the Ludovico Technique (Snapmare Driver) on  Evangelista. Leanne tried to make the save, but was cut of by the Madman. 1… 2…3!!!

Your Winner, Shoot Kings!

We started the night out right with the much anticipated rematch between the Dragons and Shoot Kings. A rematch that didn’t disappoint. The Dragons fell short for a second time, though. Could they be the one tea, the Dragons can’t get past? Only time will tell on that one, but for now we have another semi-final match to get to.

Godfathers of Wrestling vs Best of British

Rupert & Nigel are out first and seemed ready for the Godfathers of Wrestling, but the GOW come through the crowd and attack from behind. The action spills to the outside, and all four men are brawling at ringside. The GOW roll Rupert back into the ring, and the bell finally sounds to start the match. Rupert backdrops Collins back out to the floor but eats a Polish Hammer from Scott. Nigel gets the blind tag and Rupert assists in a slingshot shoulder block / slingshot leg drop / splash combination for a two count.

Rupert gets the tag and levels Scott with an inverted atomic drop and then a backbreaker for a two count. Nigel gets the tag again and whips Scott into a superkick from Rupert for the two count. Rupert chops Scott’s chest. Nigel whips Scott to the ropes, but that gives Collins the chance to make the blind tag. Collins is all over Nigel and is grinding him into the mat. The GOW drag Nigel to the outside, whip him into the guardrail, and whip him head-first into the ring post. The crowd is once again less than pleased with their actions. And the referee orders them to get back into the ring. Nigel is busted wide open, and Scott rolls him back into the ring where Collins is waiting. Collins pounds on Nigel’s head.

Scott gets the tag, shoves Nigel to the corner, and goes to work with chops and kicks. Nigel struggles to make the tag, but Scott drags him back to the corner and makes the tag to Collins. Collins connects with a pair of head butts and rips at Nigel’s forehead in the corner.  Scott clears off the timekeeper’s table as Collins connects with stomps on Nigel. Collins tags Scott, and Scott lands a face wash in the corner. Scott hits a German Suplex in the corner and gets a two count, but Nigel pulls off a crucifix pin for a two count of his own. Scott drops down to the mat and locks in a sleeper hold before making the tag to Collins. Collins opts for the ground and pound before stomping on Nigel and making the tag to Scott. Collins takes Nigel up top, but Nigel shoves him down to the mat and connects with double knees from the top. Nigel flies across the ring and FINALLY makes the hot tag to Rupert.

Scott appears to be legal as well, and Rupert catches him with a Powerbomb for a two count. Rupert hits double knees in the corner for another two count. Rupert places Scott out on the ring apron, and Nigel connects with a superkick. Scott is out, and Rupert and Nigel work him over in the ring. Scott is dazed, but he still manages to hit a knee lift, knocking Nigel over the top rope. Collins takes Nigel up top and goes for a superplex. Both men feel the effects of the move and roll out of the ring.

With Collins and Nigel out on the floor. Rupert takes it to Scott, but the GFC Champion managed to catch Rupert with a Valediction (Spinning Sitdown Powerbomb), making the three count all but academic.

Your Winner, Godfathers of Wrestling!

Rupert & Nigel gave it their best, but the Godfathers of Wrestling proved too much for Frontiers newest team. While this was not their night, I believe they are team that could places. One day they will be the tag team champions. However, for now we have a tournament to finish and the finals are set. GFC Tag Team Champions, Shoot Kings, vs Godfathers of Wrestling! Before we get to that our Frontier GM has something to say in response to the comments of CJ Osborne last night.

The lights in the arena begin to dim slightly as a faint marching drum beat begins to roll out in the background. Several spotlights circle around the arena as the crowd looks around in awe.

“I’m made in England

I call it my kingdom

She may let me down

She would never take a bow for me

Sold down the river

You scream till they hear ya

And i’m still standing proud

Even as every town has fallen down to it’s knees”

Swirling violins begin to play out a haunting rhythm alongside fierce guitars as smoke emits from the entrance way. The marching beat continues on with proud lyrics as Missing Andy’s epic ‘Made In England’ fully kicks in. A silhouette appears in the thick grey smog; his head is bowed as he methodically makes his way to the ring. The shrouded figure of Andreas Lasiewicz steps out from the back, seemingly smoking a cigarette; his head lolled to one side as he surveys the crowd with a police baton resting on his shoulder. He pauses then points his baton towards each and every member of the crowd before slowly pace to the ring. He is clad in a slightly dishevelled business suit, in the colour scheme of grey and white, and his curls are hanging loosely to his chin line.

“But we won’t stand up and take back and stop this all this greed

There is no choice out there they all bring us to our knees

And sometimes we drink drink drink to excess

Cos one half don’t realize the other half’s in a mess

So take another picture and send me the fine

Charge me the earth for all the things i need to buy

It’s totally insane but I guess we won’t complain

It’s just the way we’re made”

As he reaches the ring, he stops to stare out in to the crowd and lets out a short, cruel laugh as he rolls into the ring and removes his jacket. He climbs one of the turnbuckles, searching out into the crowd with a Cheshire Cat grin across his face. He hops down as he spins the baton around in his left hand for a moment before resting back against the turnbuckle, staring up into the heavens as if he is looking for answers. Shortly afterwards he is handed a microphone as he waits for the mixed reaction to subside, tossing his cigarette away.

Lasiewicz: Calm down, calm down. I have many reasons to be out here tonight, but I’ll be keeping this as brief as possible so we can return to the wrestling action. Now, as you all witnessed last, CJ Osborne actually got off of his backside for once and flew over to these shows for the GFC Tournament. Now most of the general public would believe that a company’s owner would be present for every single show. With so much financial, and you’d believe emotional investment in a company, you would feel as if they would be ever present. But the fact remains that our ‘illustrious’ owner has not been present at ANY FRONTIER shows in the past three months. Three WHOLE months and added time to boot. Does that show an owner who is interested in his promotion? Does that show an owner who is interested in what the fans want? Not… In… The… Slightest…

Some fans boo, whilst others cheer. The crowd seems to be spilt down the middle by the General Manager’s words.

Lasiewicz: He threw a lot of accusations about last night. A LOT of accusations about how his company is run. Now, I will mark that the recent activity involving interference from the crowd is out of order, and the security firm that Scott Mayo hired have been future endeavoured with immediate effect. You see, I was hired to handle the on screen talent, both here in the ring, and backstage. My job is to book the cards and put the best show possible out there for you. And damn I have been doing that every single show since I took over. As for security, catering, multi media advertising and sponsorship… Nothing to do with me. It’s not my job; it’s not what I was hired to do. Thus why I’m still in a job and that useless whelp Scott Mayo isn’t…

There is a smattering of cheers to this line as Lasiewicz begins pacing around the ring.

Lasiewicz: This company… This proud English company was in decline when I took over. Thus why the song I came out to tonight is very fitting. My mother was English and I made my start here, so this country’s wrestling scene holds a special place in my heart. And slowly but surely we are taking strides towards achieving the old glory of British wrestling, no matter what CJ Osborne thinks. We have the most successful World Heavyweight champion in wrestling today, we are bringing through the next generation of European wrestlers, we have matches with real emotion and we are witnessing the birth of what could be the next best tag division in wrestling today. And of course, we have the Godfathers of Wrestling!!! But to CJ, what is this company? Merely an asset in his divorce proceedings… Now I’m going to apologize to Hope Dawson now, I promised I wouldn’t say anything… But after accusations about my on the job performance, I can no longer be silent. Now I have held several meetings about the future of FRONTIER with Miss. Dawson, whilst all the while CJ was out having affairs with anyone who would take his money. In fact, some of you might be present tonight!

The crowd are unsure what to think. Some are shocked Andreas brought this subject up, others who were unaware are in total shock and even loyal fans of Osborne have no response.

Lasiewicz: Whilst myself and Hope were fighting for this company’s future, all CJ could think about was his dick. THAT is the real reason why CJ vanished from our screens, that is the real reason why this company is a mess… Because he doesn’t care about the British wrestling scene and he doesn’t care about any of you. In fact, he is so out of touch with the industry that he still believes Michael Hopkins is a worthy challenger to the World title, he still thinks hiring stoners and drug addicts is cool and edgy, hell… He is the kind of guy to laugh at childish dick and fart jokes in promos, when of course he gets round to watching them. He is the kind of guy who goes behind his General Manager’s back and books matches no one is interested in and rehires Kevin Fucking Hardaway of all people. Do you really want to drag us back to the dark ages?

Andreas lets out a cruel bout of laughter as he sits down on top of one of the turnbuckles, staring out into the crowd with evil eyes.

Lasiewicz: Speaking of addicts and stoners, some members of the roster made complaints over some of my comments on social media this week, concerning our ‘wellness policy’. Sure, all of our testing is at random, and the results have been… reasonably effective. But as General Manager if I suspect anyone of breaking our policy, I can ENFORCE mandatory drugs testing on anyone and everyone on the roster. Refuse to take the test and you will literally be pleading guilty. Ladies and Gentlemen… You have been warned.

He pauses slightly, looking out towards the curtain with a grin on his face, waiting to see if anyone protests. There is no movement, so he continues.

Lasiewicz: Now one thing on CJ’s bullshit agenda was that we are not ready for television, he has said to me over the phone that he doesn’t feel we will achieve the desired ratings with the current program. Besides insulting every single member of ‘his’ roster with that comment, he couldn’t be further from the truth… But you want ratings CJ. You want ratings? Hmph… By the time my statement is over, once my speech is done the internet will be on fire… And you just watch the impressive viewing figures for this show double in a matter of minutes. When CJ Osborne booked this tournament, not me, CJ… He stated that the winner of the GFC Invitational would receive a Tag Team title shot at a later date. This is of course if the Shoot Kings themselves didn’t win, they would receive a World Heavyweight Title shot at a time of their choosing. Now the latter fact will stand of course, if they are victorious. But the prize for the other teams… Number one contendership? That is going out of the window…

The crowd begin to vicious boo and hiss this comment.

Lasiewicz: Because seeing as the Shoot Kings are still in this tournament, and they are the Tag Team Champions… I’m going to up the stakes a little… I’m putting the titles on the line…

The crowd’s mood switches in seconds, as they jump up in anticipation of possible title matches.

Lasiewicz: That’s right… Tonight, in front of all of you and everyone at home, the winner of the GFC Invitational will walk out of that door the GFC TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS. How’s that for a ratings boost. Never… question… my position again. This is your last warning! Don’t make things worse for yourself than they already are! Dobranoc.

Lasiewicz drops the microphone in the centre of the ring as he exits, a malicious grin upon his face.

What a message that was made from our GM to our Owner. Can’t wait to see what happens next… Now the Final match is no longer just about winning a shot at the tag titles. Its about winning the tag team championship. This has just made a great match up epic. Though one has to wonder why he waited till right before the final match to announce this. Could it be because his pals are in the finals with the tag champs?

Godfathers of Wrestling vs Shoot Kings!

Every single fan in the house was on their feet when the Shoot Kings came out , showing off their GFC Tag Team Championship belts. The Godfathers of Wrestling walk to the ring to a mostly boos, a few cheers mixed in as Scott Scott shows off his GFC Heavyweight Championship belt.. Collins is approached by Madman, who requests a handshake. Collins accepts. Scott exits the ring leaving Collins and Madman to start off with tie up. They keep going back and forth, with each man getting a brief advantage through a pair of hammerlocks and side headlocks, until Collins turns Madman around with a rear waistlock. Madman breaks the grip and uses it to work Collins over into an arm ringer. Using a leg onto the shoulders, Madman flips Collins onto the mat and keeps the arm held in, stepping around to gain his footing and pull Collins to his feet while still clinching the arm.

Madman goes for a kick, but Collins is able to duck the kick. He swings at the back of Madman’s head with a  running clothesline, but misses when Madman ducks. Collins keeps his head low, catching a charging Madman. He lifts him high for a sideslam. Collins goes for a second slam, but Madman rolls over Collins’ shoulder and lands on his feet behind him. Madman pushes the man to the ropes, but Collins backs him away. Collins turns around, Madman comes at him…they meet in the center of the ring…Madman is taken down by a lariat.

Madman manages to push him back into the Shoot Kings’ corner, where he makes the tag to Graham. Graham steps into the ring, waiting for his partner to step back onto the apron. Clauson charges Collins, but he sidesteps and lets him go to the ropes. Collins lifts Graham up for a spinebuster…Clauson with an armdrag! They pop back up…Clauson with another armdrag! Up again…Graham jumps onto Michael’s shoulders! Hurricanrana…no, Michael rolls him up in a sunset flip! Graham rolls out at two!

Graham dodges a European uppercut! Graham with a forearm to the face…Collins with a knee to the gut! They trade blows in the middle of the ring. Clauson stumbles back after another stiff European uppercut. He comes back with a elbow to the side of the head. Scott makes tag. Scott quickly goes for a cover on a downed Clauson. Madman barely makes it into the ring to push Scott off at two and a half! Madman throws a wild kick at Scott, but the referee pulls Madman away into his corner before it can connect. Allowing both members of G.O.W. to get in some shots on Clauson.

Scott uses a three-quarter nelson to pull Graham into a neutral corner, laying a pair of chops into him. Scott whips Clauson across the ring, sending him to the buckles. Scott comes in, charging at a stumbling Graham Clauson with an outstretched arm, Clauson rolled him up in a crucifix to a two-count and a roar of cheers from the crowd. Both Madman and Collins stretch their arms out for a tag. Scott is there to try and stop the tag, but he just manages to tag in the former GFC Commonwealth Champion.

Madman is back in and boots Scott to the floor. Madman hits flying forearm and some kidney punches. Scott reverses a whip and Madman tries a enzuigiri but Scott catches him in a t-bone suplex. Big move there, getting G.O.W a two count. Scott whips Madman into a clothesline and hits a sidewalk slam for another two. Scott hits several elbows and tags out to Collins. Madman fights back with chops but Collins goes to the eyes, more clobbering and Scott tags in again. Madman misses a dropkick and Scott starts stomping him. He hits a bodyslam and tags out, Collins hits a snap suplex for two.

Collins and Madman fight over a suplex before Scott breaks it up and hits Clauson for good measure. Collins and Scott try to hit a double clothesline but Madman hits a boot on their hands, spin kick to Scott, enzugiri to Collins and now he hits the suplex for good measure. Clauson gets the tag and hits Scott with a shoulder to the gut, an clothesline for Collins and Clauson then leaps over Scott before hitting Collins with a dropkick. Clauson sends Collins and Scott into each other and takes out Scott with a flying knee strike, hits a few boots on Collins, ducks some clotheslines and finally takes him down with another boot. Big fisherman’s buster gets two for Clauson. Collins avoids a German Suplex, Clauson escapes a waist lock but runs into a kick, Scott is in and G.O.W  hits a double lariat!

Clauson tries a powerbomb, no good, knees to the face, still no good as Collins hits a back body drop.  Collins makes the tag to Scott takes Clauson out with a piledriver. He goes for the pin, but Madman is in the break it up. Collins charges in and spears Madman out of the ring. Scott goes for the Harvard Hammer (Polish Hammer), but Clauson ducks under and takes Scott up on his shoulder in a firemans carry. Clauson wants to hit the The Relapse of Robert Downey, Jr. (Rolling Fireman’s Carry Slam), but Scott wiggles free and nails Clauson from behind with a Harvard Hammer (Polish Hammer). There is no denying it hit this time. Scott hooks the leg 1.. 2.. 3!

Your Winner and NEW GFC Tag Team Champions, Godfathers of Wrestling!

There it is… New tag champions! The Shoot Kings may have lost, but they has nothing to be ashamed of. They put everything they have had in all three matches, but came up just short the final time out. This will be a rematch sometime in the future, no doubt about it. However until then join me in congratulating the Godfathers of Wrestling. Thats it for FRONTIER in 2013, he next time you see us it’ll be 2014. Have a happy holiday everyone!
