FRONTIER returns to the Fairfields Hall in Croydon, check out the full results of this cracking show as we get ever closer to our third anniversary!

This show was all action, barely anything of note happened outside of the ring but that didn’t matter with all the action inside it!

Demon vs. Julia Braddock

You know how we like to use the term “mixed reaction” for people sometimes? That doesn’t begin to describe how Croydon responded when the one simply known as Demon came out to the ring. Some loved him, some hated him, but everyone let their opinion be heard.

“LET’S GO DEMON!” “DEMON SUCKS!” “LET’S GO DEMON!” “DEMON SUCKS!”

And he hadn’t even gotten to the ring yet!

Of course, Julia Braddock’s ovation was much more positive (being that this IS her hometown and all.) However, she just didn’t seem to care. She looked completely emotionless as she came down to the ring.

To say that Demon was outclassed in this one would be an understatement, the abilities of Julia Braddock are known far and wide, and this display proved why she has her reputation. Demon struggled to get into the match, although did look likely to put up something of a fight for a while, but once Braddock hit the Gloria In Excelsis Deo (code breaker) there was only going to be one winner. And that win came when the Triangle Choke was locked in.

Your winner, Julia Braddock!!!

An emphatic win to open the show here in Croydon! Demon is building a cult following in FRONTIER, but is still winless. Still, there’s signs of improvement and he’ll be looking to get a better result in two weeks time.

Next up is the FRONTIER return of Cody Williams! Cody caused a big stir in his first FRONTIER stint and will be hoping to pick up from where he left off. But facing him and hoping to stop him having a dream return, is Allison Lorraine!

Cody Williams vs. Allison Lorraine

Lorraine picks up Williams and drives him into the corner. She goes for a forearm but Williams rolls away and hits a hard right kick. He hits three more kicks but Lorraine stops that with a BIG slap! Williams is sent into the corner. He brings his knees up but Lorraine catches them, spins Williams around, so his legs are draped over the middle rope, and hits a hard chop and a thunderous kick. Lorraine finishes that with a Fisherman suplex from out of the corner.

Williams is down. Allison tries to suplex Cody back into the middle of the ring but Williams blocks it and the two end up on the outside. Both on the apron and Lorraine delivers some sick looking chops. Williams back with three kicks but Lorraine with more chops. Williams clotheslines Lorraine back into the ring. Lorraine flips back up and nails Williams, taking him down. Lorraine heads outside, grabs Williams by the legs and catapults him head first into the metal barriers between the ringside area and the audience. That was nasty! Lorraine throws Williams back in and gets two.

Lorraine with some vicious elbow strikes. Now, she has Williams over and slams his head into the mat three times. He delivers some stiff blows and then gets a one count. Lorraine with a chin lock. Williams fights back with more kicks. Williams hits a running knee that shakes up Lorraine. Williams with a Perfexecution (Reverse swinging neckbreaker) and gets a two count. Great turnaround from the returning Cody Williams!

Williams heads up to the second turnbuckle. Lorraine grabs his leg and yanks him off, causing Williams to hit his head on the way down. Lorraine starts laying in the boots. Lorraine with several running knee smashes into Williams’s face and then a Springboard spinning heel kick. She follows up with the Ferocious Fate (Twist of Fate)! That gets the three count!

Your winner, Allison Lorraine!!!

A good win for Lorraine, who manages to put a stop to the Williams return party here.

So the ladies are 2-0 so far in the Fairfields Hall, and now Arcadia Chavez will look to make it three as she goes toe-to-toe with Graham Clauson!

Graham Clauson vs. Arcadia Chavez

Arcadia’s manic act did little to sway the Croydon crowd. They booed the entire time she came down to the ring. When Graham Clauson came to the ring, the crowd was respectful and giving an ovation…yet there was still something about Arcadia that set a few of the fans off.

Graham took control within seconds, using a luchador sequence to start off. A trio of arm drags followed by a snapping hurricanrana began his brief onslaught. Graham ran across the ring, but biffed on a flipping senton. Arcadia backed away into the corner, huddled against the ropes. Graham slowly began to approach her, stretching his arms out and ducking down low…but Arcadia went through his legs, tripping Graham up and driving his head into the top turnbuckle!

She rolls him up! Could this be all?

Nope, a very angry Shoot King kicks out at two! He beats her to her feet, but she gets away…and she’s laughing? She must have thought that was funny! Graham sure as hell doesn’t! Graham with a running knee…Chavez moves, and Clauson goes into the ropes! She goes for another roll-up…Graham stiffens up, and rolls through backwards to his feet! Arcadia kips up! ARCADIA…did she just snarl and try to bite Graham? I think she did! Graham moved out of the way, though…and he backed right into Sal Mancini! The ref falls through the ropes, but lands on the apron…SHE ACTUALLY DID BITE HIM THIS TIME! GRAHAM IS LIVID! He’s pointing at his arm, Arcadia is licking her lips like she’s about to do it again…NO! SHE KICKS GRAHAM IN THE BALLS! AND THE SCYTHE TO THE SIDE OF THE HEAD! She steps over, and sits on Graham’s chest…that smile is so god damn creepy…

….wait a second, Sal’s came to and he’s counting the pinfall!

This one is over! A lot of people in the audience look pissed!

Your winner, Arcadia Chavez!

A big win for Chavez! She literally got her pound of flesh from Clauson here tonight, she took a chunk out of his damn arm!

So another win for the ladies of FRONTIER, and now two of them go one-on-one to settle a bitter feud. It’s turning into Ladies Night in Croydon!

Summer Collins vs. Angelica Jones

That match began with Angelica chasing Summer around the ring as she tried to get away. Summer eventually slides back into the ring and starts stomping away at Angelica as she slides in too. Summer then lets her up and throws rights. She whips her into the ropes but lowers her head too early and Angelica makes her pay with a kick to the face followed by a spinning heel kick that sends Summer tumbling back outside. Angelica with corkscrew suicide plancha over the top onto Summer on the outside! Angelica goes to pull Summer up but she rakes her in the eyes and whips her into the steel ring post. Summer again starts to try and get away but Angelica is quickly up to her feet, bleeding but to her feet, and gives chase. Angelica catches her on the steel ramp where the two women start to trade right hands again, punching their way to the top. Summer rakes her in the eyes again and snap suplexes her on the steel ramp. Summer pulls Angelica up and drags her through the curtain and back into the backstage area. Summer goes for a suplex but Angelica counters with a suplex of her own. Angelica with a face buster onto the concrete. Angelica picks up a steel trash can lid and bashes Summer in the head with it. She takes the trash can itself, sets it on the ground, and ddts her on it! Angelica drags Summer over to the refreshments table and sets her up on it. She sets up a small ladder and climbs it. Angelica flies off with a 450 splash, onto Summer, through the table! The referee is there to make the count…1…2…No! Summer shows amazing resiliency by kicking out! Angelica picks up a glass containing coffee and smashes the glass of coffee over Summer’s head. Summer is now bleeding profusely. Angelica pulls her up and drags her back through the curtain and sets her up at the top of the stage for a pile driver but Summer back drops her on the steel stage. Summer tries to crawl away, crawling back towards the ring but Angelica gives chase. Summer makes it to the ring and that is where Angelica catches up to her. Angelica pulls her up and whipping her into the steel ring post. Angelica reaches underneath the ring and produces a steel chair. She waits until Summer pulls herself up before smashing her over the head with it! Angelica then jabs her repeatedly in the throat with the chair! Angelica pulls Summer up and rolls her back into the ring. Jones then reaches underneath the ring and produces another steel chair, this one is wrapped up in barbed wire! Angelica brings it into the ring with her and drops it down right in the center. Angelica takes Summer, sticks her head between her legs, underhooks her arms, and then asks the fans if they want her to do it…the fans shout a loud “DO IT!” in unison! Angelica then delivers The Hot Shot, driving Summer face first onto the barbed wire steel chair! Angelica rolls her over and covers…1…2…3!

Your winner, Angelica Jones!!!

Jones silences Summer Collins, and that caused a lot of joy here tonight I can tell you! But I’m pretty sure Summer will have some words to say about this defeat.

Next up is Crystal vs. Edwards, two competitors who were on the same team two weeks ago and had a fallout over the result of that contest against Dragons Unleashed & PKA.

Crystal Swift vs. Joey Edwards

Joey Edwards is fired up for this one, much to the derision of Summer Collins – who claimed this week that Crystal is her stand-in and her win will go down on Summer’s record. Collins and Edwards exchange some words, with Swift and the third member of their team, Janice King, backing Summer up. Joey had some harsh words for Crystal too this week, and despite her complex situation with Summer, she seems more than ready to get her hands on the leader of The Rebellion.

A sudden lunging forearm smash from Joey precedes the bell, and that sets the tone – a wild, reckless brawl featuring just as much angry striking as grappling. The two tussle around the ring, swinging each other into the turnbuckles and mat and laying in knees and elbows at every opportunity. Slowly though adrenaline gives way to calculation and the two enter a more cerebral pace, and in addition to fast-paced sequences of counters, each competitor gets extended runs of control where they punish their opponent with strategic brutality; Joey is working over Crystal’s favoured arm, having seen first hand last time what her Crystal Clear jumping cutter can do, while Crystal’s going for Joey’s knees and ankles to stunt his acrobatic offence. When Crystal goes for a diving crossbody Joey manages to roll it through into a cross armbreaker, and comes close to scoring a tapout until Crystal gets a boot over the bottom rope. It’s all Edwards for a long while after that, alternating between armlocks to keep the pain in the limb fresh and head-focused strikes and takedowns to keep Crystal shaken up.

At ringside, Summer and Janice are playing good cop/bad cop, with Janice cheerleading and Summer offering, ahem, “constructive criticism” whenever Crystal comes off second-best in an exchange. Swift grits her teeth, fighting through both her mistress’ negative reinforcement and Edwards’ focused aggression, and when Edwards miscues a diving splash thanks to his weakened legs, she manages to find a Crystal Kick to the chin! She crawls over for the cover and nets a two point nine. Summer and Janice resume their noise, with Summer apparently trying to rile up the Rebellion followers who accompanied Edwards to the ring. The mute, masked Rebels cross round threateningly, and Summer orders Janice to take care of them while she continues to mentor Crystal. Janice does the best she can, but she’s no match for the two Rebellion members and before long they’re tossing her all around ringside. Crystal looks from Joey to his men, and vaults over the ropes to wipe them out and save Janice! The two young ladies manage to turn the tide, until Joey slides out and gets involved. Summer just watches the 3-on-2 brawl patiently, not deigning to get involved until after Joey’s rolled Crystal back in the ring. Finally, she drives off the two now somewhat exhausted Rebels and helps Janice back to their corner.

Joey goes for a pin, but to the crowd’s astonishment Crystal kicks out right on the three! He hauls her up suplex style but she drops down behind him and as he turns, finds another Crystal Kick! She goes for Crystal Clear, but her arm gives out and Joey pushes her away and connects an uppercut to her elbow. He quickly spins her into a front butterfly and plants her with the Final Chapter butterfly powerbomb backbreaker. As he makes the cover, hands clasped around both an arm and a leg of Swift, he grins over at an irate Summer Collins. One… two… three!

Collins and Edwards exchange more words, then Joey shrugs her off to celebrate his win. Janice seems to be trying to console Summer, but Summer’s face is thunderous. Something tells me that when Crystal wins, Summer will claim the victory for herself, but when Crystal loses, Summer will let Crystal have it… and meanwhile, what an emphatic statement by The Rebellion, with their leader getting a win over a FRONTIER stalwart and putting one over on a former Commonwealth Champion in the process!

Your winner, Joey Edwards!!!

Finally one of the boys picks up a win here in Croydon! And what a big win that was for Joey Edwards too!

Time for our main event of the evening as guest star Sean Sands goes up against The Welsh Dragon. I say guest star… I had the chance to sit down with Sands after the show and he confirmed he’d like to become full time in FRONTIER!

Michael Hopkins vs. Sean Sands

As the bell ringed, Sands slowly made his way to the center of the ring and extended out his hand for Hopkins. Hopkins seemed a bit worried about actually shaking hands with Sands, but after the audience cheered for handshake, he shrugged his shoulders and shook his opponent’s hand. The two men slowly made their way back to their corners before circling around the ring and locking up. Sands quickly got a headlock in on Hopkins, but the bigger man managed to almost immediately shove him up against the ropes and grabbing the middle one, forcing the ref to tell Sands to release Hopkins’s head. Sands almost immediately complied and released Hopkins’s head before Hopkins backs away.

The two locked up again, but Michael managed to drive a knee into Sean’s gut, keeling him over. Michael quickly lifted Sands up onto his shoulders and marched around a bit with him before dropping him onto the mat with a Samoan drop! The ref dropped to the mat as Michael attempted a pin, looking to end the match early.

ONE!

TW-KICKOUT!

Sands managed to get his right shoulder up and Hopkins quickly went on the attack, getting to his feet and grabbing Sands by that long brown hair of his before getting him up to both feet. Hopkins then performed an irish whip, sending Sands back first into a corner so hard that he ended up bouncing off of it and forward, to where Hopkins charged forward and drilled him with a jaw rattling European uppercut that absolutely floored Sands. Seeing that Sands was down for at least the next few seconds, Hopkins pointed to the corner and nodded his head as the audience agreed with the attempt of a high risk, top rope maneuver. Hopkins slowly climbed the corner before finding himself at the top turnbuckle, standing high up on it before pointing at Sands and nodding his head.

He leapt off of the turnbuckle and extended out his elbow, looking for an elbow drop, but Sean managed to roll out of the way at the last second, causing Michael to crash onto the mat, his elbow taking the worst of it as he holds it in pain. Sean slowly got to his feet and waited for Michael to get to his feet as well. Once the Welshman did, the Ohioan charged forward, leaped up, and hooked his legs around Michael’s head before sending him flying into the air and right back down onto the mat with a hurricarana! Michael quickly rolled out of the ring after the move was attempted, but as soon as he got up, a charging Sean came flying through the middle and top ropes and sended Michael crashing into the barricade back first! Sean quickly grabbed the slumped down Michael and rolled him back into the ring before sliding in himself and attempting a pin.

KICKOUT!

Hopkins managed to get his right shoulder up just at the last second as Sands looked up at the ref, who flashed him two fingers, letting him know that it was a two count. Sands sighed as he grabbed Hopkins by the head and slowly got him up to both feet before taking a step back. He charged forward and leaped up, hooking Hopkins’s head and looking to plant him into the mat, but Hopkins used his strength to shove Sands right off and send him falling face first into the mat. Sands slowly got to his feet, holding his stomach, and Hopkins took the advantage and charge forward, extending out his right arm and taking Sands’s head off with a running clothesline! Sands was once again down onto the mat, seemingly looking knocked out, but Hopkins didn’t seem to really buy it.

Michael quickly grabbed Sean by the head and got him up to both feet before irish whipping him towards the ropes. Sean bounced right off of those ropes and made his way back to Michael, who was there waiting for him to grab him and plant him into the mat back first with a spinebuster! Michael got to his feet and began motioning for a Superman punch, which got the audience really hyped up for the move as they began cheering, though there were a few boos from the audience from those Sandsaholics. Michael backed up into the corner and began motioning for Sean to get to his feet. Sean, the former FGA Heavyweight champion, slowly got to his feet, shaking his head as he tried to shake off the last two moves he just suffered. As he slowly turned around, Michael charged forward and drilled him with a Superman punch, his fist connecting with Sean’s jaw and laying him out! The audience gave out a mixed reaction as Michael went for the cover after laying out Sean.

TH-KICKOUT!

Sands just managed to get his left shoulder up on time, stunning Hopkins, who looked at the ref, believing that it was a three count. But when the ref corrected him and told him the match was still on, Hopkins just shook his head and got up to both feet, angry at the fact that he couldn’t put Sands away. He grabbed Sands by the head and slowly got him up to both feet before hooking him around the waist and hitting a belly to belly suplex. The audience went quiet at this point as it seemed like Hopkins was slowing the match down as he grabbed Sands again by the hair, got him up to both feet, and hooked him around the waist again before hitting yet another belly to belly suplex that seemed to have more “oomph” behind it. Hopkins looked out at the audience for a few seconds and even began pacing a bit, keeping away from Sands, before walking back over to him and grabbing him by the head again…only for Sands to pull him down and pull him into a roll up pin attempt, getting a nice pop from the audience as he tried to steal one!

ONE!

TWO!

KICKOUT!

Both men got to their feet quickly and Michael went for a clothesline, but Sean ducked it. The Welshman quickly turned around and was met with a pele kick to the face that stunned him and sent him stumbling backwards. Sean quickly got to his feet and shot up his right leg, drilling Michael right in the face with a bicycle kick that lays him out! Sean also dropped to the mat, obviously exhausted from the fight he has just been in. He slowly got to his feet and headed to the corner, climbing the turnbuckles with his back turned to his opponent. When on the top turnbuckle, he stood at the top and pointed out at the audience before leaping off and landing right onto Michael with a moonsault! The impact forced Sean to bounce right off of Michael and roll around the mat in pain as he held his midsection.

Sands slowly got to his feet as he held his midsection in pain, but instead of going for the pin, he began motioning for Michael to get to his feet. The Welsh Dragon slowly gets to his feet, holding his midsection as well. When he got up to both feet, he kept himself sort of keeled over, which allowed Sands to charge forward and attempt a Fame Asser, only for Hopkins to move his head out of the way at the last second. Sands quickly turned around and was met with a kick to the gut before Hopkins attempted a suplex. Except, when he lifted Sands up, Sands landed right behind him on his feet. Sands quickly took advantage of this and charge forward, leaping up on the ropes and springboarding off of them, turning his body around…only to be caught in midair! Sands tried to fight off what was coming next, which ended up sending him and Hopkins right out of the ring and down onto the ground.

Sean slowly got to his feet first and quickly entered the ring again, Michael not so far behind from doing the same thing. Both men got to their feet and stared each other down before both men charged forward and took each other out with a clothesline, getting a huge pop from the audience as both of them roll around the ring in pain. The Croydon fans loving the intensity of this match!

The two take a moment to get back to their feet, and it’s Hopkins who’s up first. He charges in, looking for a spear, but Sands dives out of the way to avoid it. Hopkins is smart enough to put the brakes on quickly and stop himself charging into the turnbuckle. He turns back to Sean, who meets him with a spinning heel kick! He leans over to pull Hopkins up, who rolls him up!

ONE!

NO…

Sean’s foot got free and is in the ropes as the ref stops the count.

Hopkins drags Sands back to his feet and gets him in a waist lock… looking for a German Suplex? He goes for the suplex, but Sands floats out of it and lands on his feet behind the Welsh Dragon! SAND ATTACK (Jumping reverse bulldog)!!!! And a cover…

ONE!

THREE!!

Your winner, Sean Sands!!!

Well that’s a great way of announcing yourself in FRONTIER, by getting a big win over one of the top men in the company! Hopkins will be disappointed with that result, but he’ll bounce back and is still in with a chance of getting a shot at the GFC World Champion, Chandler Scott!

So there you have it, Croydon came out in force to witness another great night for FRONTIER action. And in two weeks our fans will do it all over again! And don’t forget it’s only 4 weeks until the massive third anniversary show in Southampton!! See you there.
