We kick things off with a prerecorded video from earlier today, with Laurel Anne Hardy, her brother Matty Graves and a young woman some might recognize as Evangelista’s sister Lily all standing in a line in a park.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Ladies and gentlemen, you know me – the living, breathing installation event of the millennium, GCW World Tag Team Champion and as of last night FGA World Tag Team Champion, Laurel Anne Hardy, here with Lily Fontanilla, Matty Graves and – if she gets her arse over here an’ stops fiddlin’ with the camera – Leanne Evangelista.

As she says their names, Laurel clamps an arm in turn around each of Lily and Matty.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Me an’ Leanne are off a night flight from Florida for the Royal Albert Hall tonight, so’ we’re gonna wake up by gettin’ doused in ice water… as requested by quite a few fans over the last couple of weeks, this is our MND challenge!

Evangelista scurries onscreen and huddles herself in tight between Laurel and Lily, looking nervous.

Evangelista: I can’t believe you’re makin’ me do this. I’m gonna die.

Laurel Anne Hardy: It’s for a good cause. Stop bein’ a wuss!

The four enter a kind of group hug. While Leanne bows her head and raises her hands protectively, Laurel tilts her own head right back with a grin and spreads her free arm to the side.

Laurel Anne Hardy: One… two… th-

She’s cut off by a bucket of water to the face as the group is assaulted from all sides. Leanne’s squeal is just about loud enough to rise over the crash of the water. As the splashes clear, another young woman enters the frame holding a big custard pie, which she slams straight into Laurel’s face!

Laurel Anne Hardy: What was that for!?

Woman: Well, you got some Pies for Parkinsons challenges too, so… two birds with one stone…

Laurel just giggles, seeing the funny side.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Uh-huh. Well, hope you all enjoyed that, and please give to fight Motor Neurone Disease or Parkinsons, or really, any charity you feel strongly about… I’ll put a link… here, ish…

She waves her hands around pointing at the bottom of the screen, where there are indeed link graphics: www.mndassociation.org and http://www.pdf.org/piesforparkinsons.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Thanks for watching! Please support the causes you care about all the time and not just when there are fun things like this to do, and it doesn’t have to just be with money. Spread the word, volunteer, donate clothes and food… thank you and see you at the Royal Albert Hall tonight!

Lily Fontanilla: We’re supposed to challenge other people as well.

Laurel Anne Hardy: Oh, that’s right… uh… let’s see… Bo-min Park for the pie challenge, you fucker, and I better be the one who gets to throw it!

She’s laughing as she says this, pointing offscreen in the direction of the woman who pied her a minute ago.

Laurel Anne Hardy: For the ice bucket – Zoe Guerra, Rieko Yunokawa, Yoshio Yunokawa, Toshiko Kobayashi, Izumi Sasaki, Madman Szalinski, Ariel Shadows, Jay Pride, Mia Scott, Annie Zellor, Allison Lorraine, Chaz Holiday, Melody Lennox, Babs Ryan, Bobby Belter, Katie Brookmyre, OOKAMI no Chi-

Matty Graves: Yeah, yeah, not everyone in the world!

Laurel Anne Hardy: Okay, I’ll cut it there but I mean it, everyone, do something nice for people with less than you.

And the dripping figures all wave goodbye, the scene fading out just as Evangelista drops an ice cube down the back of Laurel’s shirt.

And so to the latest instalment of the GFC World Tag Team Championship saga to kick off the show proper! FRONTIER management were unhappy with the previous champions, Dangerous Minds (Jonathan Collins & Chandler Scott). Dangerous Minds were equally unhappy with FRONTIER management! And the Global Frontier Crown were incredibly unhappy with the whole situation. The upshot of it all is that Dangerous Minds and FRONTIER have parted ways, the titles have been officially vacated – and now tonight they find a home around the waists of either The Filth’s Sylar Drake and Sterling Everett, a.k.a. Fear & Loathing In The UK, who made a big statement with a win over Collins and Laurel Anne Hardy not too long ago – or The English Purity Movement consisting of former Commonwealth Champion Summer Collins (no relation to Jonathan!) and her personal cheerleader Crystal Swift. Let’s get to it!

Fear & Loathing In The UK [Sylar Drake & Sterling Everett] vs The English Purity Movement [Summer Newman & Crystal Swift]: GFC World Tag Team Championship

This title match begins with Crystal Swift against Sylar Drake. Sylar stuns Crystal with several quick but effective martial arts kicks and chops and follows it up with a snap suplex and then a jumping leg lariat. He tags out to Sterling Everett. Everett continues the assault with a belly to belly overhead suplex and then a corner splash before dropping her with a discus lariat for a cover and a two. He goes for a spear but Crystal moves out of the way and he hits nothing but steel ringpost. Crystal tags out to Summer who is in with an arm bar takedown into a fujiwara arm bar. When that submission doesn’t work she drops him with another arm bar takedown and then locks him up in a crossface chicken wing. Sterling still doesn’t surrender so Summer nails him with another arm bar takedown and tags back out to Crystal. Crystal drops several elbows onto that arm and shoulder and applies a deep arm bar. Crystal tags back out to Summer. She goes for Summer’s End but he fights out of it and nails a uranage followed up by a yakuza kick. He nails a rolling elbow and then sets her up for the Filthy Kill but she slips out from behind, spins him around, and nails The Money Clip. She covers but he kicks out at two. Summer whips him into the ropes but he reverses and nails her with a big boot. He goes for a discuss lariat but she counters into a crippler crossface. After about forty-five seconds in the hold Sylar Drake rushes in to break it up.

Summer tags out to Crystal. They attempt a double team but Sterling double clotheslines both ladies down. He whips Summer into the ropes and delivers a high back body drop and then hits Crystal with a huge flapjack. He makes the tag out to Sylar. Sylar comes in with a springboard dropkick to Summer that sends her to the outside and then an enzuigiri kick to Crystal that puts her down. He covers and gets a two. He drops Crystal with a shining wizard and then heads up top and connects with a divine moonsault off the top for a cover and a near fall. He measures Crystal and then goes for Infinity Kick but she ducks it and connects with a Crystal Kick! Crystal measures him as he pulls himself up. She goes for Crystal Clear but he pushes her off into the ropes into Sterling Everett who pummels her with a right. She staggers backward into a German suplex with a bridge but Summer is in to break it up. Sylar clotheslines Summer up and over the top rope. Crystal meanwhile comes up from behind and nails a Summer’s End to Sylar. She covers but he kicks out. Crystal goes up top and looks for a frog splash but Sylar gets his knees up at the last possible second. Sylar tags out to Sterling Everett.

Everett wastes no time nailing Crystal with a KOKnee and then a Bruiser Suplex. He covers and nearly gets the win but Summer places Crystal’s foot on the bottom rope. Sterling starts arguing with Summer, giving Crystal time to recover. He turns around into a Crystal Kick from Crystal but it isn’t quite enough to knock him down. Crystal then lands a face buster. Crystal tags out to Summer. The two women perform a double suplex to Sterling Everett. Summer locks Sterling in a Muta Lock. After about a minute in the painful hold he does reach the ropes. Summer locks in an STF. Again, after about a minute, Sterling reaches the ropes. Summer pulls him up and goes for the Stock Market Crash but Sterling fights out of it and drops her with a yakuza kick. He tags out to Sylar. He pulls Summer up and nails three German suplexes in a row. He comes off the top with a Divinity Dive for a cover and a near fall before Crystal breaks it up.

Sterling goes after Crystal and the two begin to brawl on the outside. Sylar goes for a superkick but Summer catches the foot, spins him around, and nails The Stock Market Crash! Summer covers…1…2…Sterling tries to intervene but Crystal is holding him back…3!

DING! DING! DING!

Your winners and NEW GFC World Tag Team Champions, Summer Collins and Crystal Swift, The English Purity Movement!

Summer makes a break for it just as Sterling re-enters the ring. Crystal snags the tag title belts and rushes up the stage to join Summer. Crystal wraps one title belt around Summer’s waist and keeps the other for herself, jumping for joy almost like you would expect a cheerleader to do, while Summer smirks devilishly with her newly won title. Both teams unpopular with the fans, but both teams very skilled and despite a lot of booing you could tell the crowd appreciated the match a lot. Congratulations to our new champions!

From a first time match-up to a repeat from our Third Anniversary Show. Commonwealth Champion Evangelista defeated Filth leader Frank Wiland to retain her title there, but it was deemed so close that Wiland was granted another shot! Let’s see if he can make the most of it.

Evangelista [c] vs Frank Wiland: GFC Commonwealth Championship

Frank Wiland is out first, looking slightly annoyed – no doubt with his followers’ failure to bring gold to the group earlier in the night. Evangelista gets a warm reaction, and she’s taking her time to interact with the fans, much to the impatience of the challenger who’s clearly looking to make up for the tag match by going right after Evangelista as soon as she steps into the ring! She hasn’t even had a chance to take her title belt off! The ref threatens Frank with disqualification and he backs out, just long enough for her to pass the title to the ringside official.

Right from the off, the two grapplers go it at full throttle, trading holds, throws, counters and blocks with impressive speed. After a few minutes with neither able to gain an advantage they finally break apart, adrenaline reserves finally starting to run down. They begin trading slow but stiff elbow strikes, the crowd ooohing after each one. After a particularly stiff shot from Frank that sends Evangelista reeling, she powers back and goes for a roaring elbow but Frank ducks and catches her, and spins her into a sitout powerbomb. She backrolls from the pin attempt and catches him with a low dropkick to the face then vaults over him for a crucifix rollup, but he rolls through and lifts her over his shoulders! Displaying his strength he flips her into a rack, then nails a Spiral Crash! He pins. One… two… thr-kickout! He backs up and measures her for something big, but the bell rings signifying the end of round one.

He paces while Evangelista recovers from the Spiral Crash, and as the bell rings for round two, the challenger is straight back in with body blows. Evangelista struggles to find an opening until she gets a drop toehold out of nowhere. She’s slow to capitalise though, as she’s badly winded, and Wiland manages to fight her off fairly easily. He uses swift chains of takedowns to keep her grounded and moving around the ring, unable to get her bearings. To her credit, even though she can’t make a comeback, Evangelista’s showing great determination, refusing to tap or be pinned. At some point during this time Sylar and Sterling begin hovering and prowling at ringside, as if they’d materialised out of thin air. They cheer on Frank’s every strike and takedown, but their presence is obviously making the referee nervous.

Wiland lifts Evangelista onto the top turnbuckle in readiness for The Sabre, but she pops elbows backwards. They’re not as strong as usual, but they’re enough to keep him from getting in to execute his finisher. But that changes when he backs out and leaps in with a double club to the back of her neck! He gets in place for the big neckbreaker to end this, but she bumps her shoulders back… and again… and again… and again! Finally she sends him stumbling, then leaps up onto the top ropes and bounces back in a moonsault which sends them both sprawling! As the stunned Wiland rises, Evangelista’s already coming off the ropes in a Stevie G kick which knocks him flat. She makes a desperate pin. One… two… kickout. Before she can do any more the bell rings! It’s the end of round two!

Leanne seems to deflate and spends the minute between the rounds just trying to recover, while Frank goes over strategy with his Filth stablemates. As the next round begins the two competitors resume their earlier intensity, starting by trading lighting fast hiptosses. Wiland goes for a springboard forearm but Evangelista rolls it through with an armdrag, and lifts him into a hammerlock. From there they go into a British mat wrestling exchange, to the delight of the fans. Evangelista, with the experience in that style, gets the upper hand – but she foolishly allows herself to be distracted by Sylar! She crosses over to the ropes, leaning over them challengingly as he mocks her efforts… and Frank grabs her from behind, slamming her into the canvas with a bridging German suplex! One… two… kickout!

They both jump up and run the ropes, but only one of them gets clipped in the ankle by Sterling. As Leanne stumbles to one knee, Frank swings down her into the ground and goes for the Queen City Strangehold. Leanne thrashes and kicks, and manages to stretch out to the ropes – using up a break, but forcing Frank to break the hold. Sylar and Sterling cheer their leader on. With a grin, Wiland drags her back to the middle of the ring and goes for it again… but she rolls him over and spins into the Lime Street Loop! The move he tapped out to last time they met! He looks around for the ropes, but he himself ensured that they’re in the centre of the ring. He seems to be fading, and the ref raises his hand. It drops. And again… still no response. Third time’s the charm?

We don’t find out, as Sterling Everett charges the ring and lays a knee into the back of Evangelista’s head. The referee calls for the bell, but that gets lost in the noise and bustle as Sylar Drake slips into the ring too and helps Everett beat down Evangelista.

Winner via disqualification and still Commonwealth Champion: Evangelista!

Frank slowly gets back into things, making it a three-on-one assault – until, to a huge cheer, Laurel Anne Hardy runs down to save her tag team partner! She’s wielding a chair, which she swings at Frank to drive him back. The two old rivals yell insults at each other across the ring, and as Wiland’s allies move in, she keeps them at bay with the chair. But she can’t hold them off forever, and after swinging at Sylar and missing, Sterling takes her out with a chop block. The Filth swarm her and unleash another beating before Frank calls the assault off and backs his crew away from the broken Dragons. Laurel stumbles to her feet slowly, and waves down medics to help escort Evangelista to the back. But before she can go with them, she’s jumped from behind by Arcadia Chavez, her own scheduled opponent for the night! I guess that match is happening now!

Chivalry is Dead: Laurel Anne Hardy vs Arcadia Chavez

Right as the bell rings Arcadia exits and brings a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire into the ring. The still-weary Laurel tries to prepare herself, but then in a shocking move Arcadia hands her the chair. Laurel looks on at the barbed wire chair for only a moment before rearing back and blasting Arcadia over the head with it not once but three times, causing the demented woman to roll to the outside in pain. Laurel with a running springboard corkscrew senton to the outside onto Arcadia! Laurel takes a running start but Arcadia drop toe holds her face first into the steel steps. Arcadia reaches back underneath the ring and produces a sledgehammer. Laurel is up by this time and again braces herself but again Arcadia just gives the sledgehammer over to Laurel. Laurel shrugs and blasts Arcadia in the gut with the sledgehammer and then blasts her in the forehead with it. Laurel reaches underneath the ring and produces a table, sliding it into the ring. She then slides Arcadia into the ring as well. Laurel re-enters the ring but Arcadia catches her off guard with the Death Blow, planting Laurel face first on the barbed wire steel chair. Arcadia rolls out of the ring and brings a can of gasoline into the ring and pours it all over the table Laurel set up earlier. Arcadia then gets a match from her tights and lights the table up on fire. Arcadia heads up top but Laurel meets her there and causes her to straddle the top. Laurel attempts a huracanrana but Arcadia blocks it. Arcadia rakes Laurel in the eyes and then power bombs her off the top and through the flaming table.

Arcadia rolls outside and brings in a bag. She pours its contents out onto the mat: tacks, broken glass, and even Lego blocks. Yes, Lego! Arcadia goes for another Death Blow but this time Laurel has it scouted and counters with a spine buster on the broken glass. Arcadia is slow to her feet and Laurel then drives her face first into the debris with a bulldog. Laurel with a full nelson face buster onto the Lego and tacks. Laurel goes for The Poseidon Misadventure but Arcadia moves out of the way and she lands butt first on the tacks. Arcadia then nails the Scythe, knocking down Laurel. Arcadia heads back outside and brings in a plain wood board, only the board is wrapped up in barbed wire. She places it in the dead center of the ring. Arcadia pulls Laurel up but she catches Arcadia with a Pele kick instead. Laurel pulls Arcadia back to her feet and nails her with a Party Hardy on the barbed wire board! Laurel heads up to the top and goes for a Stronger Than Dirt but Arcadia moves out of the way and Laurel lands on what’s left of the barbed wire board!

Arcadia uses the time to roll back outside. She reaches underneath the ring and produces a cheese grater which she brings into the ring. She prepares to grate Laurel’s face but then Laurel yanks her pants down! Arcadia frantically tries to pull them back up allowing Laurel time to nail The Poseidon Misadventure, driving Arcadia’s face into the Lego! Laurel takes the cheese grater and uses it against Arcadia’s face. Laurel heads outside and finds another one of Arcadia’s barbed wire boards which she brings into the ring and props it up in the corner. Arcadia slowly negotiates her way to her feet and then Laurel spears her through the barbed wire board. Arcadia rakes her in the eyes and then tries to crawl away but Laurel gives chase. Arcadia reaches the edge of the mat where she reaches underneath the apron and finds a taser. She turns around and tases Laurel. Arcadia locks Laurel in Samael Song. The referee asks Laurel if she submits but she refuses to quit. However, she no longer has the strength to break free. After a minute or so, Laurel is no longer responsive. The referee calls for the bell.

DING! DING! DING!

Your winner, via choke out, “The Angel of Death” Arcadia Chavez!

What an expectedly brutal war between two brutal competitors with a deep, lasting and somewhat irrational antipathy towards each other. Is that the end of their war? I hope so, at least for now, for both their sakes. Both crimson-masked women are barely conscious as they’re helped to the back. While the stunned fans recover from what they just saw, the ring crew begin sweeping away the splinters, pins, glass, Lego bricks and all the other remnants of the devastation we just witnessed.

At our Third Anniversary Show Angelica Jones did something many thought impossible, and ended Chandler Scott’s year-plus reign as GFC World Heavyweight Champion! The veteran – now a twelve-time world champion in total – is getting no time to rest on her laurels, though, as in her first defence she faces both perennial contender Michael Hopkins, always a tough challenge, and the former FGA Heavyweight Champion Sean Sands, impressive and undefeated thus far in FRONTIER.

Angelica Jones [c] vs Michael Hopkins vs Sean Sands: GFC World Heavyweight Championship

Angelica starts with a roundhouse kick to Hopkins and then one to Sands as well. Jones with a dropkick that sends Sands to the outside. She goes for a whip on Hopkins but he reverses. Angelica comes back with a handspring into a pele kick, also known as the Kaylan Wind Kick Version 2.0, and this floors Hopkins. Jones with a quick bulldog takedown onto Hopkins. Sean back in with a springboard spinning heel kick to Angelica. He drops her with a spinning heel kick. He goes for a roundhouse kick on Hopkins but he ducks under it and then proceeds to land multiple kicks and multiple knees followed up by a massive European uppercut that drops Sands. He drops Sean with a vertical suplex. He turns around and is just barely able to avoid a Stubborn Bitch from Angelica. Both competitors are up at about the same time and they begin to trade back and forth with Hopkins getting the better of the situation. He throws her with a belly to belly suplex. She rolls to the outside. Sean Sands is up to his feet and Hopkins puts him back down with a running clothesline. He takes a running start and goes for Dragon Tackle but Sean moves out of the way and Hopkins hits shoulder first into the steel ringpost. Sean waits until Hopkins is out of the corner before he puts him down with a bicycle kick. Sands nails Hopkins with a Fame Asser. He covers but Hopkins kicks out at two.

Sean pulls him up and whips him into the ropes. He lowers his head too early and Hopkins makes him pay with a swift kick to the face. Sean turns around in time to see Angelica coming at him with a springboard flying forearm smash. Sands ducks just in time and the forearm connects with Hopkins instead. Hopkins rolls to the outside. Angelica turns around and is met with a roundhouse kick from Sands. He nails her with Face Meets Mat. He covers but only gets a two. He drops her with a neck breaker. He goes up top and looks for a moonsault but Angelica moves out of the way just in time. Angelica with a back cracker to Sands and then a bow and arrow submission. Sands refuses to give up. After about thirty seconds Hopkins is in to break it up. Hopkins whips Angelica into the ropes and nails her with a spine buster. He whips Sands into the corner and then charges in after him and nails a dropkick. He then hurls Sands over the top and to the outside. Hopkins whips Angelica into the corner but when he rushes in to do the same she flips up to the top in one swift movement and then comes off with a Resurrection dragonrana onto Hopkins, hanging on for a cover and a two.

Hopkins staggers his way back up but is caught with a Kaylan Wind Kick superkick to the jaw that sends him to the outside with Sands. Angelica with a running start and then she leaps over the top and connects with a corkscrew suicide dive plancha onto both Hopkins and Sands. She pulls Sands up but he reverses and whips her into the steel steps. Sands pulls Hopkins up and rolls him back into the ring. He joins him in the ring. He turns Hopkins over into a Boston Crab. Hopkins won’t quit. He keeps struggling towards the ropes. After about thirty seconds he reaches the ropes. Sands drags him back out and locks in a sharpshooter. Hopkins still won’t quit. This time Angelica is in with a springboard version of the Kaylan Wind Kick 3.0, kicking Sean square in the head and forcing the break. She rushes in and connects with a Stubborn Bitch to Sands. She then turns him over into the Angel’s Arch. Sands shakes his head, refusing to quit. He reaches the ropes after twenty seconds but Angelica drags him back out to the center and reapplies the hold. After about ten seconds Hopkins is back in it with a running knee lift to Angelica. He pulls Jones up and drops her with a German suplex with a bridge for a cover but only gets two.

Angelica gets back to her knees and Hopkins proceeds to follow it with kicks to the chest and back and then follows it up with a roundhouse kick to her head. Sean Sands is up to his feet but not for long as Hopkins puts him right back down with a superman punch. He pulls Sands back up and goes for C-4 but Sands blocks it. Sands nails a Lip Buster to Hopkins! He nails a Sands Kick to Angelica that sends her to the outside. He rushes and then leaps over the top with a suicide dive onto Angelica! Sands and Angelica both get up at about the same time and trade right hands on the outside. Hopkins meanwhile climbs the top rope. He then leaps off the top with a cross body block taking both competitors out! He rolls Sands back into the ring. He climbs back up to the top and then comes off with a missile dropkick. He covers and nearly gets a three before Sands shoots his right shoulder up!

Hopkins locks Sands in Dim Dianc. The referee is right there to check on Sands. Angelica tries to get in the ring as Sands slowly starts to fade. The referee looks like he might call it as Angelica gets in the ring. Angelica runs off the ropes and connects with a Divine Impact on both men, forcing the break of the hold! Angelica pulls Hopkins up and goes for a whip but he reverses. He rushes in but she flips over him and then locks him in Firestarter! Jones keeps the hold in tight as the referee checks on Hopkins who refuses to quit. Sands slowly pulls himself up. Hopkins still won’t quit so Angelica cinches the hold in even tighter. Sean comes up from behind, wraps both Angelica and Hopkins up, and pops his hips in an inhuman show of strength throwing them both with a release German suplex! Sean climbs up to the top and comes off with a Sand Drop on Hopkins! Slowly he negotiates the cover and nearly gets a three before Angelica breaks it up!

Sean with a bulldog to Angelica. He dropkicks Hopkins out of the ring. He moves back over to Angelica who catches him off guard with a kip up into a frankensteiner. He comes off the top with a moonsault to Hopkins for a cover and a near fall. Sean pulls him up and grabs his leg, attempting a Dragon Screw Leg Whip but Hopkins counters with a Dragon Whip! He nails Sands with an elevated gut buster. He nails Sands with a Samoan drop. He turns around into a van dominator from Angelica. Jones connects with a split legged moonsault onto Hopkins for a cover and a near fall.

Sands comes from behind and goes for the Sand Attack but Angelica dodges it. She drops him with a sleeper neck breaker. Jones heads up top and connects with a spiral tap. She covers and gets a near fall. Angelica pulls him up and goes for The Hot Shot but he back drops out of it. Sean with a clothesline taking her down. He goes up to the top but Angelica meets him up there. The two trade blows but Angelica gets the better of it. Jones brings him down with a Bloody Sunday off the top!

By this time Hopkins is back to his feet. He waits as both Sands and Jones get back up. He rushes in. Jones leap frogs over Hopkins allowing him to connect with the Dragon Tackle onto Sands instead! Hopkins turns around to see what happened to Angelica and she kicks him in the gut and nails him with a Double Arm DDT! Angelica takes Hopkins and locks him up in a dragon sleeper. The referee is right there to check on Sands. Jones shouts at him to quit but he just may pass out! Sands sneaks in and breaks it up just in time! He drops Jones with the Sand Attack but once again she wisely rolls out of the ring before a cover can be made. Sands goes over to Hopkins hoping to do the same but he manages to stun him with a Pele kick and follows it up with a standing shiranui. He covers but only gets a near fall before Sands gets a foot on the bottom rope.

He whips Sands into the ropes and drops him with a dropkick. Hopkins, though, doesn’t realize Angelica is right behind him. He turns around and is met with a pele kick from Jones who follows that up with a reverse ddt. She covers but Hopkins kicks out at two and a half. Jones yells at the referee for a slow count, giving Sands the opportunity to roll her up from behind. Hopkins is still out of it and unable to break up the pin.
