Our second TV taping has rolled around and, after the success of the first two episodes of REVOLUTION there was a packed house at Bournemouth’s Littledown Centre. But with the recent rumours surrounding Kevin Hardaway’s status with FRONTIER what would happen in our main event?

We were not able to reach Kevin Hardaway for some days prior to this show, so we had no clue whether he was going to be here tonight. But, that aside, we knew we’d still be in for a corker of a show. And, once the meet & greet was out of the way (which I missed to attend the Southampton vs. Manchester United game) we got down to business. But before that, check out what happened when Bobby Belter ran into newcomer Chase Stevenson.

— VIDEO —

Backstage we see Bobby Belter, with his pen and notebook in hand he runs into Chase Stevenson before his match.

Bobby: Hey Chase..can I get a quick word?

{Chase drops his hood down and turns slowly to look at Bobby}

Chase: Bobby right.. What quick word would you like from me?

Bobby: Well I’ve done my research on you and it seems you are pretty damn good. I just want to get some thoughts and feelings about you making your debut tonight and against the big giant Mike Penney. He looked rather good last show even though he came up just short.

Chase: You want my feelings? Ask Penney after the match how the feeling of my fist felt with his face. He can look good, but he isn’t any good. I get the fact I have to earn my stripes but I promised last week when I came here I wasn’t here on REVOLUTION to just talk the talk. Uprising..Osborne.. all the big and little dogs in the back. I am the Revolution and if anyone thinks tonight you’re just going to see an epic wrestling match in the main event… I’m making a point here tonight and no matter what jaws will be dropped and FRONTIER will be turned upside down by the end of the night. Time for my entrance, take notes.. it will certainly be one to remember!!

{Bobby writes down what he can but is just as shocked to wonder what Chase could have in store tonight}

Chase Stevenson obviously has something in store for us tonight, but not giving much away as to what that could be. But, more importantly, how would he fare against the might of Mike Penney?

Chase Stevenson vs. Mike Penney

Stevenson grabs a side headlock off of a lock-up, chain wrestling a little before Penney cuts him off with a punch that rocks Chase. Another couple of shots and Penney pushes Stevenson into the corner to light him up with some chops. Penney with an Irish whip across and he hits a clothesline before mounting Stevenson in the corner and punching away on him. Penney plays to the crowd, but Stevenson comes out of the corner and blasts him with a clothesline. Whip into the other corner and Stevenson charges with a big reverse elbow and follows it up with a big dropkick to the face off the ropes. Irish whip into a back bodydrop from Stevenson and he covers to get a two-count before chopping Penney right back down to the mat.

Penney begs off and Stevenson hits some knees and punches in the corner before whipping him into the ropes. Penney with a couple of duck-unders, but he gets caught in a bow and arrow type move into a torture rack backbreaker. There’s the cover…1…..2…..Penney barely gets a shoulder up. Stevenson picks Penney up with a fireman’s carry, but Penney fights off the move and holds onto the ropes so Stevenson just dumps him over the ropes to the apron. Forearm shiver from Stevenson and he tries to run the ropes, but Penney pulls the hair and yanks Stevenson down. Chase pops back up and connects with a running knee that sends Penney into the ropes. Stevenson spots his chance to nail the MONEYMAKER!! 1…..2……3!! Stevenson with the win in his FRONTIER debut!

Your winner, Chase Stevenson!

An impressive win on his debut, but Chase Stevenson couldn’t leave it at that, he had some more words for the FRONTIER fans.

The fans cheer and boo Chase after a good hard fought match. Chase looks at Penney slowly getting up after the match.. and laughs as he bounces off the ropes and connects with a Money Maker knocking Penney down again. Chase pushes Penney out of the ring to the ground as he calls for the microphone.

{Looking around the ring looking and taunting the fans he stops and looks into the camera recording the show.}

Chase: That’s just the beginning.. I am the Franchise!! I am the future champion!! Penney is just a small example of what’s to come.. FRONTIER… The Revolution is just beginning!!!

{Chase drops the mic as the crowd continues with cheers and boo’s as he makes his way out of the ring.}

It would appear that Chase Stevenson has his targets set on reaching the top of FRONTIER, and in double quick time too. But will he be able to achieve that goal? There are plenty of other people in FRONTIER who stand in his way, including our next two competitors.

Jacob Rollins was racking up win after win in his previous FRONTIER stint, now he’s back to see us once again. And his opponent is another debutant in Jack Tyler Ryan. And this one was fought under Commonwealth Rules!

Jacob Rollins vs. Jack Tyler Ryan

JTR comes to the ring first, exchanging pleasantries with his new friend, ring announcer Jenni Star. The two were almost flirting as Jacob Rollins made his way to join them in the ring.

Round one saw James Tyler Ryan take the early upper hand after getting the best of a test of strength. He whips Rollins into the ropes and nails a spinebuster. Rollins writhes in pain for a brief moment, I think he landed quite stiffly there. Ryan tries to make the most of it with a pin, hooking the leg. Rollins kicks out at two.

Rollins uses the ropes to help himself get back to his feet, the pain still evident on his face but he’s determined to get himself back into this match. Ryan grabs Rollins. Swinging neckbreaker. Elbow drop connects. Hook of the leg for a one count only. The two get into each others face before Rollins nails a big right hand. The referee calls out, warning him about opening his fist. If he does that again he’ll be disqualified. Rollins argues with the referee which allows Ryan another change to take him down. Double arm DDT this time gets him a two count.

Rollins tries a clothesline but JTR ducks it, shoots a wink to Jenni Starr at ringside and turns quickly to connect with a dropkick to the back of Jacob Rollins’ head. He tries a pin but the bell signals the end of round one.

Both men take to their corners for the 60 second rest period before round 2. Rollins takes offence to something a fan says while Ryan is exchanging words with a female fan in the front row.

The second round started the same as the first, a test of strength that Ryan wins. This time he goes for a whip and a lariat, but Rollins ducks and takes his opponent down with a reverse DDT. Instead of following up the move Rollins starts arguing with the fan at ringside again, allowing Ryan time to get back up.

Ryan goes straight after Rollins again as he takes him down with another DDT, then another elbow drop. Then a backbreaker and a single leg Boston Crab to continue the assault on his spine. Rollins doesn’t tap, making the ropes and forcing the break. Rollins doesn’t have time to get his bearings as JTR grabs him and hoists him into the air before taking him down with the Spinning Brainbuster DDT!! Ryan doesn’t make a cover, instead following up with The Pickle Grip! After a brief moment Jacob Rollins taps out!

Your winner, Jack Tyler Ryan!

A second round victory from JTR on his FRONTIER debut; a very impressive display. He’ll turn a few heads with a display like that, and not just from the ladies at ringside!

After a little intermission we were set for the main event, but first Scott Mayo was out to talk to the FRONTIER fans. Take a look at what he had to say…

— VIDEO —

Mayo is already in the ring and has a microphone in hand. There are some in the crowd who are booing the FRONTIER head booker after some decisions they, and some of the talent, have not agreed with over the past few months.

SM: Folks, I’m out here tonight to discuss Kevin Hardaway and his status with the company. There have been reports and rumours this week that Kev has quit or that I fired him, neither of which are true. What has happened is a personal issue that Kev would not want me to divulge to everyone, but let me say that when this situation is resolved you WILL see K-Hard back in a FRONTIER ring.

The crowd cheers loudly.

SM: I’m sure you fine folks here in Bournemouth will join me in wishing Kevin all the best and I know you’re all keen to see him back here as soon as possible. Whatever differences he and I have had, I want to see him in this ring as much as you do.

Some applause ripples through the crowd here in the Littledown centre.

SM: Now, onto the subject of tonight’s match… there has been an offer of a replacement in this triple threat match. Someone out in the back has, well, they’ve pretty much demanded to be added to this championship match tonight. But I’ve said no.

The crowd booing now.

SM: No, wait a minute. I’m a fair man, I’ll give credit to wrestlers where it’s due. But the man in question, and I won’t embarrass him by mentioning his name, he doesn’t deserve a shot at the GFC Championship. He’ll have to earn his shot, which I’m sure he will in due course. So tonight, in our main event, it’ll be one-on-one between Gabriel Gambino and CJ Osborne!

The crowd cheer, wanting to get the match underway already. Some chants for each man start to break out from opposite sides of the room.

So there we have it, Hardaway is off dealing with some personal issues and we’re left with a cracker of a singles match instead.

CJ Osborne (c) vs. Gabriel Gambino

Both men in the ring and ready to go, we start with a lock-up; Osborne forcing Gambino into the ropes. Clean break from Osborne and Gambino claims that Osborne pulled his hair. Osborne gets the crowd into it with some clapping and they lock up again with Gabe bullying Osborne into the corner before hitting a cheap shot right hand on the break. Gambino with a reverse elbow to the back of the head and a couple of turnbuckle smashes before he starts nailing some hard rights!! Irish whip into the corner and Gambino charges but Osborne goes through the ropes, forcing Gambino to hit the top turnbuckle. Headscissors takeover from Osborne and he pushes Gambino into the corner before nailing some big rights of his own! Gambino rolls out to the floor and complains to the referee, Jenni Starr, the timekeeper and three people in the front row before finally making his way back into the ring. Gambino calls for a test of strength and they lock fingers, but Gambino kicks Osborne in the gut and works him over with right hands before taking him into the corner and choking him with the heel of his boot.

Gambino with another Irish whip into the corner and he misses another charge before Osborne takes him over with an armdrag into an armbar. Osborne drops a couple of knees on the arm and has Gambino begging for mercy….COVER….1…2…Gambino kicks out and Osborne goes right into a hammerlock. Gambino with a knee to the gut to stop the momentum and he hits another big reverse elbow to the back of Osborne’s head. Irish whip from Gambino and Osborne ducks under a clothesline, turning it into a big armdrag takeover into another armbar. Scoop slam from Osborne and he heads up to the top rope, but Gambino shoves the referee into the ropes and Osborne gets crotched on the top buckle!

Gambino hammers away on Osborne in the corner with big right hands before he lays in a big chop to the chest. Irish whip into the corner by Gambino and he follows Osborne across with a dropkick. Cover from Gambino…1….2…Osborne rolls the shoulder! Right hand from Gambino and Osborne goes to the body and the head with right hands of his own before mounting Gambino in the corner for a flurry of punches! Gambino counters and drops Osborne face first into the top turnbuckle before dropping a knee into Osborne’s chest. Osborne cuts that off with more punches to the gut and the head and he whips Gambino into the ropes, but Gambino reverses a back bodydrop attempt with an elbow to the back of the head.

Gambino locks in the Eye of Medusa!! Osborne tries to fight out of it and does, but Gambino drops him back down to the mat before hitting him with a big legdrop and another Eye of Medusa!! Osborne continues to try to fight it, reaching over to the ropes… which he eventually makes!
