People of Glasgow; we would like to apologise for the amounts of carnage caused by Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER in and around the Braehead Arena this past weekend. We are currently working with the local authorities to repair any damage done. Although, truth be told, most of the damage was done inside the ring!
Well what a night it was in Glasgow on Sunday. The meet and greet was epic, some really wonderful people came and saw us, including a local podcaster who got some great interviews with the stars of FRONTIER. Then it was time to get to the action, our second iPPV of the year and the first ever FRONTIER show to be held in Scotland. Now if you want to watch the action then you still can, replays are available all week at a price of £8.99. But if you’re just eager to find out what happened, then read on MacDuff!
Our first match pitted two of the newer names of FRONTIER against one another. Jason X looks to make his mark against the veteran Rim, who recently took a shot at Madman Szalinski and seems focussed on our Commonwealth Champion.
Rim vs. Jason X
Rim took the match to Jason in the early stages, a big clothesline was followed by a series of stomps to the head as Jason struggled to cover up. Jason rolled out of the ring to the apron, but was shoulder barged off by Rim who then proceeded to jump off the apron and connect with a flying cross body. He rammed Jason into the safety rail in front of the fans before rolling him back into the ring. He goes for a nonchalant cover which gets a two count. Rim then went for another clothesline but Jason X ducks it. Rim spins round, straight into a big right hand from Jason. And another. And another. Rim rocked now as Jason takes him up and over with a suplex, maintaining his grip on his opponent and rolling through into an armbar! Rim caught out by that one, but soon makes the ropes to break the hold.
Jason grabs Rim again, going for the Argentine Backbreaker and following up with a textbook Flying X Attack (Corkscrew 450 Splash). He tries a cover, but Rim kicks out easily. Rim fights his way back to his feet, connecting with some big blows that rock JX. He nails a DDT, a jumping elbow drop and locks in a half crab, but Jason is quick to grab the ropes and break the hold. Rim then drags Jason to the corner, connecting with some raising knee strikes before stepping back, charging in and connecting with a big back elbow! Jason crumples to the canvas, Rim heads to the top rope and lands a guillotine leg drop! Cover for two.
Rim looks angered by not getting the three and goes straight back to work on JX. A T-Bone Suplex is followed by a slingshot elbow drop and another two count. He slaps the mat in frustration before taking Jason down again, this time with a swinging neckbreaker. Rim climbs to the top and steadies himself as Jason starts to get back to his feet. Jason stands, turns and Rim leaps through the air, landing on Jason for a hurricanrana – a move he likes to call Cruiserweight Glory. BUT JASON CATCHES HIM INTO A POWERBOMB!! X-DRIVER (Front Flip Piledriver/Canadian Destroyer)!!! 1…2…3!!! NO!! NO!!! Rim’s foot was on the ropes!!
Now it’s Jason’s turn to get angry, slapping the canvas. He argues with the referee, allowing Rim valuable time to get back to his feet. Jason turns, small package!! 1..2..3!!!
Your winner, Rim!
Well the experience of Rim just helped him sneak a win here in Glasgow. It looked certain that Jason X would take the win, but Rim found a way to stay in the game and it paid dividends!
We head back to our first video interview of the night as another big name star makes their FRONTIER debut!
— VIDEO —
The cameras fade backstage as we see newcomer PKA is standing near the interview area. He’s got his black jeans on with a white belt, and his grey fur vest. His hair is black with spiked blonde highlights. He looks into the camera with dead eyes.
PKA: “Hello, FRONTIER fans. Hello, Scotland. Hello, Internet Pay Per View audience. Allow me to re-introduce myself. I go by three simple letters – P.. K.. A. You might remember me from my past guest appearances here in this fine company, but this time is different. This time, you see, I’m not just showing up for a quickie and a thank you, no no no. I’m here for the long haul. You see, as of three days ago, I officially left WARPED Wrestling so I could concentrate my next big run in wrestling on one specific place and one place only. That place is none other than right here in FRONTIER, baby!”
The live crowd pops. PKA smirks and rolls his eyes.
PKA: “You damn right that’s exciting. I’m Grade A talent; I’m definitely worth cheering for. But don’t get me wrong – I could care less if you cheer or if you boo me, because at the end of the day, you’re not the ones signing my paycheck. At the end of the day, you’re not the ones I’m putting my body on the line for. At the end of the day, YOU’RE NOT THE ONES I PICK UP THE W FOR!”
PKA stops himself, and clears his throats. His eyes dart back and forth, and finally focus back on the camera.
PKA: “For a decade, I’ve sat on the sidelines. No more. I am here for myself and for my career. This is where the official launch of a new era begins. Tonight, I don’t fly the flag for WARPED, the US, the UK, Scotland, anything.. but myself. The Ultraviolent Perfectionist has arrived. No Fear. No Limits. Just PAIN.”
PKA grunts and puts his arms out in a crucifix. His head tilts back as the scene fades to black.

There seems to be a growing trend of big names making the move to FRONTIER, which can only be great for the company. And PKA is another great, although he’s had a recent attitude change will certainly make things interesting in the months to come.
Next up, tag-team action. The tag division is starting to grow here in FRONTIER but these two teams are paired for the first time. Moore and Hunter will team again at Unsanctioned, but the team of Brandt and Scott could well turn out to be a one time deal. But you never know, a big win may just make them consider a repeat performance.
Alexia Brandt & Mia Scott vs. Seth Moore & Drake Hunter
The match starts with Mia Scott and Seth Moore as the legal pair while their respective partners cheer them on from the apron. They lock up, Moore gets the advantage and pushes Mia back into a corner before hip tossing her out again and then missing an elbow drop. Mia whips him across the ring, dropkick connects but the pin attempt barely even gets to one. She maintains the pressure as she connects with a European uppercut and applies a side headlock, dragging Moore back to her corner where Alexia Brandt tags in. Alexia gets in a kick to the gut and tries a DDT, but Moore shifts his weight and stands firm while Alexia falls back. He grabs her legs and stomps on her mid-section. He then pulls her up by the hair, getting a warning from the referee, before a series of chops has her rocking. Seth follows up with a snap suplex before taunting someone in the crowd.
Alexia gets back up and charges Moore, connecting with a clothesline. But Seth pops back up, Butterfly Suplex gets him a two count. Mia is cheering her partner on from the sidelines, noticing that she’s struggling a little. Alexia tries to crawl back to her corner and tag out again but Moore keeps stopping her and drags her back to his own corner. Swinging neckbreaker from Moore gets another two count.
Moore tags out, letting Drake Hunter enter the fray. Hunter instantly goes to stomp Alexia and keep her on the canvas for a moment. He then pulls her up, only to suplex her back down again. Hunter also taunts the crowd as Alexia again tries to crawl to the corner. Drake stops her, dragging her back to the middle of the ring by her feet. Alexia manages to flick out one of her legs and catches Hunter in the jaw. He’s momentarily dazed, but still has Alexia’s other leg in his hands. She spins onto her front, pushing herself up onto her free leg. She then spins and connects with an enziguri! Both Brandt and Hunter are down and their partners are desperate for the tag as the crowd cheer them on.
Alexia is slowly reaching the corner as Drake is getting back to his feet. He rushes to block her off, but she makes the tag and Mia Scott is back in! She connects with a springboard spinning heel kick that flattens Hunter. She follows up with an arm drag and helps fire up the Glasgow fans. Hunter tries to get to his corner but Mia grabs his hair and pulls him back into a Hair Pull Backbreaker! Cover! Two only!
The crowd are well behind Mia Scott as she pulls Hunter back up. Big series of knife edge chops that get the crowd WOOOOing with delight. Dropkick then sends Drake crashing back into the ropes before a clothesline that sends him over the top to the floor! But just before that Seth Moore had made a blind tag and he comes flying into the ring, bundling Mia over the top rope too. She stands on the apron as Moore charges in again, and she manages to duck an elbow, forcing Moore up and over her as his momentum works against him. He lands on his feet on the ring apron and the two exchange blows.
Moore blocks one chop, looks down and smiles at Mia. Before she can realise why he’s sweeping one of her feet from under her, so that it falls off the ring apron. She loses her balance and falls to the arena floor, landing awkwardly. Moore steps back into the ring, tapping his temple as to show the crowd just how clever he is. A moment later Mia is back on the ring apron and leaps to the top rope, springboarding off and connecting with a cross body block. She doesn’t cover, instead pulling Moore back to his feet and setting his legs up on the ropes for a Rope-aided DDT. This time she covers, but Moore is out at two.
The two take a moment to regain their breath, with Seth heading back to his corner. Before he can realise what’s going on Drake Hunter has blind tagged himself in and is charging for Mia Scott. Scott sees him coming and rolls out of the way. Hunter charges again, arm drag reversal from Scott who tags in Alexia. Alexia picks up Hunter, BRAINBUSTER!! Hunter gets back to his feet, but is dazed as hell. Alexia tags back out to Mia, who heads to the top rope. Alexia grabs Hunter, couple of quick elbow blows. She then transitions behind him and lifts him up onto her shoulders. Mia then leaps into the air… FULHAM BROADSIDE (Shining Wizard)!!!! Mia makes the cover while Alexia cuts off Seth Moore, and this one’s over!
Your winners, Alexia Brandt and Mia Scott!
I’ve never seen that move done like that! A Fulham Broadside to someone elevated up onto someone elses shoulders? Holy crap that was awesome! Although I have a feeling that Seth Moore will disagree with that analysis. Moore will feel himself hard done by here, that blind tag from Hunter ultimately cost them the match.
Time for the first of our grudge matches this evening as Matt Kail gets his wish of a one-on-one match with Gambino. Kail has defeated Alex Jones and CJ Osborne in the past month, two former GFC Champions. If he adds a third former champ to that list then surely he’ll have catapulted himself into contention for a shot at the current champion? Don’t forget that Gambino initially flat out refused Kail’s challenge, but Matt Montell has promised Gabe that if he wins this one then he will finally get his GFC Title re-match. Are Gabe’s eyes firmly on the GFC Championship? Or is his upcoming match with Kevin Hardaway going to distract him?
Matt Kail vs. Gabriel Gambino
The men lock up a couple of times but neither man can get an advantage. They then both exchange forearms before Kail hits several uppercuts which send Gambino out of the ring. Matt then follows up with a diving somersault to Gambino on the outside. Both men return to the ring and Kail hits a suplex followed by an attempted monkey flip which is reversed by Gambino. Kail backs Gabe into the corner and hits several shoulder thrusts followed by a face wash but Gambino gets back into the contest with a drop toe hold followed by two suplexes. Gambino goes for the third but Kail rolls him into a small package for a two count.
When the men get back to their feet, Gambino hits another suplex, his third. Gambino then goes for a top rope move and hits a diving shoulder block followed by several knees to the back of the head of Matt Kail. Gabe continues to focus his attack on the neck of Kail and delivers a neckbreaker but Matt fights back with some chops. After receiving three earlier, Kail attempts to suplex Gambino out of the ring but it’s reversed and Kail gets bumped out of the ring. Gabe then comes off the ropes and hits a baseball slide just as Kail was trying to get back into the ring.
Kail gets up to the ring apron and goes for a springboard dropkick which Gambino avoids by pulling the referee in front of him! The ref is down and Gabe smirks. Gabe connects with a series of right hands, forcing Kail back into a corner. He charges in for a splash but Kail rolls out of the way, Gabe managing to put on the breaks in time to avoid himself an injury. Gambino manages to grab his opponent and hits an STO but Matt fights back again and nails an exploding suplex. He covers Gabe for what seems like a five count before the referee realises what’s going on and counts. He gets to a slow two when Gambino finally kicks out.
Kail looks frustrated that he didn’t get the three but tries to put it behind him. He launches Gambino over his head for a belly to back suplex. Kail climbs to the top rope and gives Gambino a big elbow drop. Another two count only! Both men then climb to the top rope and after a struggle, Gambino hits a brainbuster followed by a lariat but only gets two. Gambino drags Kail to his feet but gets a near fall with a bridging T-Bone suplex. Kail goes for another top rope move but is cut off by Gambino who then hits a boot into the gut and then nails the Fongul to get the victory!
Your winner, Gabriel Gambino!
Matt Kail’s run of good form comes to an end here at the Braehead Arena, much to his chagrin. Gabe, obviously fired up by the thought of a GFC Championship shot, did what he needed to do here tonight. The next problem for Gabe will be beating Kevin Hardaway at Unsanctioned, because if he doesn’t then his contract comes to an end and winning a title shot will be all for nothing!
Back to the back now as we catch up with some of the ladies of FRONTIER!

Ariel Shadows removes her leg from the wall, stretching out by placing her feet high up on the concrete in the hallway. As soon as her other leg comes down, she looks to the side and has to brace herself for an oncoming collision.
AS: Hey, you made it!
Katie Brookmyre embraces Ariel tightly, then takes a second to look at her ring gear. She’s shivering… whether it’s from excitement, nerves or just being cold, it’s hard to say.
KB: How could I not? This has to happen. We can do it, Ariel. We can do this and save everyone.
AS: I told you.
Ariel smiles, but has to stop Katie from walking away.
KB: Alright, let’s do this thing!
AS: Wait…remember the plan?
Katie stops, frowning a little, but nods.
AS: Not yet.
KB: Right… everyone’s not here yet, are they? We can’t save people who aren’t here!
AS: Exactly…
Katie looks beyond Ariel for a second.
KB: Speaking of which.. where’s Madman?
AS: He knows what I’m doing, and he’s okay with it. If you need anything, you come to us. Just remember, it’s not time yet. But while you’re here, we do need to talk about this for a minute.
KB: What’s there to talk about? You told me what we had to do. So let’s do it.
AS: There’s a little more to it than that. We can’t just show up and expect them to let us do this. We need to find Matt, and we need to get a hold of CJ. Then we can start getting excited. Come on, let’s see if Matt’s anywhere around here, we can get this done…
— /VIDEO —
What in the blue hell are Ariel and Katie talking about? Well at this point I was as lost as you are. And if you say you know what’s coming then you, sir, are a liar!
Anyway, back to the in-ring action. Big time triple threat match which pits Andreas Lasiewicz against two debutants here. Allison Lorraine, fresh off the plane from the MWA and PKA, formerly of WARPED. Granted PKA has appeared her before, as a guest at the 1st Anniversary Show, but this is his first appearance as a full time FRONTIER star.
Allison Lorraine vs. Andreas Lasiewicz vs. PKA
The match starts with an explosive offense of PKA who cleans the house, kicking both Lasiewicz and Lorraine in the gut and tossing Lasiewicz out of the ring. He then goes right after a doubled over Allison, dropping her with Headscissors into a DDT. Crowd goes wild as PKA poses in the ring and shows off, but suddenly Andreas Lasiewicz slides back to the ring and catches The Ultraviolent Perfectionist with a Schoolboy. One… Two… PKA kicks out and rolls backwards into a standing position, ready to fight the Silver Eagle. The duo exchanges punches and kicks, but Andreas then catches one of PKA’s kicks and elbows his leg, hitting a stiff Discus Forearm Smash right after. Lasiewicz takes control of him, going for Implant DDT, but by that moment, Allison Lorraine is on top rope and performs a beautiful Missile Dropkick to the face of The Polish Spirit. Lasiewicz is rocked, laying by a corner, and Allison hits a Standing Moonsault into a pin. One… Two… and yet again PKA kicks out.
Lorraine sets her sights on Lasiewicz now. The Polish star is on his feet and is Irish Whipped towards the ropes. Just as he comes back, he receives another Dropkick to the face, which Allison follows with locking in the Texas Cloverleaf on the staggered opponent. Lasiewicz is on the verge of tapping out, but PKA is up again and breaks Allison’s submission when he hits her with a Superkick. PKA is now in control again, grabbing both of his opponents. Lorraine is in the Russian Legsweep position, while Lasiewicz is placed in perfect position for Flatliner. The “Grade A” hits both moves at once to a chorus of cheers, and then locks in the Octopus Stretch on Lorraine.
Now it’s Allison that’s in a world of pain and a world of trouble, but Andreas recovers quickly and kicks PKA, breaking the hold. Andreas goes to Irish Whip PKA, but the move is reversed and it’s Lasiewicz who comes off the ropes. But The Gambit takes advantage of the situation and hits a huge Polish Hammer on PKA, going for the cover. One… Two… Lorraine breaks up the pin, Lasiewicz Irish Whips her this time, but the high flyer from San Francisco takes advantage of that as well and nails Lasiewicz with a Bicycle Kick. She goes for the cover on the Polish wrestler. One… Two…
This time PKA breaks the pin. He Irish Whips Allison to the corner and lays her out with a Dropkick to the head. He goes for Andreas right after, going for Pain Buster, but Lasiewicz block the move and rolls PKA into a Small Package. One… Two… PKA kicks out, Lasiewicz stands up quickly but Lorraine surprises him with a Spinning Heel Kick. One.. Two… Lasiewicz kicks out.
PKA has climbed the turnbuckle and flies, taking out both opponents with a crossbody. He celebrates and that gives Lorraine time to get to her feet. PKA turns round, FEROCIOUS FATE (twist of fate)! She pauses a moment before making a cover and that gives Andreas time to grab her, UNFORGETTABLE FIRE (Argentine Backbreaker into Falling Reverse DDT)!! He raises his arm in expected victory, but hasn’t noticed that PKA is somehow back up! P-KRUSHER III (flipping DDT)!! THIS IS INSANE! PKA covers… and Lorraine breaks the count at two! PKA grabs Allison, tossing her over the top rope. He turns back to Lasiewicz… UNFORGETTABLE FIRE!! Cover, 1…2..3!!
Your winner, Andreas Lasiewicz!
What a finish, what a match! These three are all great performers and the crowd loved every second of that one! Any one of them could have won that match but in the end it was Andreas that took his opportunity and walks away with a big big win.
As well as all the great in-ring action there was a little scuffle in the loading bay during the show; and our cameras caught the following footage…
— VIDEO —
The cameras switch to the entrance to the arena as there’s a kerfuffle in the distance. The cameras move closer, trying to get a view on what’s going on. A line of FRONTIER ring crew, acting as security alongside the arena staff are trying to keep out a group of un-invited guests. As the camera comes up behind the line of security we can see the faces of the two men and one woman. It’s Crowbar, Starrzoe and Kandi Washington from WARPED, members of AbominationZ.
Crowbar: Come on, man, let us in. We’re not gonna cause any problems, honest.
He flashes a cheeky smile at his friends.
Security: Sorry, but this area is for wrestlers and crew only. If you’re not working, you’re not coming in.
Crowbar steps back with his hands in the air. He then looks to his right, spying a small white truck.
Crowbar: This the FRONTIER truck? This what you carry that piece of shit ring around in? Looks like Starrs Shagwagon from 1967!
He walks over to the truck, looks in the window, then back at security. He then proceeds to rip the wing mirrors from the vehicle, tossing them to the floor.
Security: Sir, I’m going to have to ask you and your friends to leave.
Starrzoe: Sir? HA! Make us, asshats!
Kandi then produces a crowbar from a bag and tosses it to Crowbar, who uses it to smash the windows of the truck. The sound of broken glass has attracted some attention as two women push their way through the line of security. It’s Laurel Anne Hardy and Evangelista, the UK Dragons.
Laurel: Did I hear someone say asshat? I mean, seriously?
Evangelista: I think you guys better do as these people tell you and get the hell out of here.
Kandi Washington laughs out loud.
Kandi: You and whose army, honey?
Two more figures push past security and stand behind Laurel and Evangelista, it’s Matt Kail and Jay Pride.
Jay: Seriously, yous aren’t welcome here. Don’t ya get that?
Crowbar drops the actual crowbar and walks back to stand beside his fellow members of AbominationZ.
Crowbar: We’re welcome anywhere Jay! But come on guys, I think they get the point.
Starrzoe, Washington and Wallace turn and walk away, Crowbar steps away backwards for a while as he keeps his eyes locked on the UK Dragons before turning and walking away.

AbominationZ making their presence known here at the Braehead Arena. Not the first time they’ve made an appearance at a FRONTIER show and based on their history it’s probably not the last we’ve seen of them tonight.
Time for our first championship defence of the evening, one of three on tonight’s show. A couple of weeks back Sylar Drake openly challenged Madman Szalinski, who gladly accepted. But both men have hardly had an easy road to this match. Sylar Drake experienced problems within the E.N.D. as his in fighting with Lucius Togo spread to the ring, and now we’re not entirely sure on Sylar’s status with his old running buddies. Madman too has had problems, with Brydon Talinsdale imposing an old contract upon him as well as being verbally abused by Rim. Which man can overcome their problems and walk out of Glasgow as the GFC Commonwealth Champion?
Madman Szalinski vs. Sylar Drake – GFC Commonwealth Championship
“Conquistador” fires up over the PA system, bringing a vast majority of the fans in attendance to their feet. Sylar Drake comes through the curtain, stopping to look around the arena and take in a deep breath before smiling to himself and making a loud shout, throwing a single fist into the air. He jogs down to the ring, returning the handslap of several fans at ringside on his way down. Drake slides into the ring, and climbs right to his feet. He crosses the ring once or twice, keeping rhythm as he runs across the ring and hits the ropes. He stops and turns, doing a couple of deep dips with the top rope as leverage. Kicking out his feet and stretching, Drake appears all business as he awaits his opponent’s arrival.
“Dr. Wily Part One” is second to play. The curtain is split to reveal Szalinski, who holds the GFC Commonwealth Championship out in front of his face as he walks a few steps down. This gets a major eruption of cheers from the crowd. Brydon Talinsdale is right beside, careful not to step too far into the spotlights pointed at Szalinski. Madman looks back to speak briefly at Brydon when he lowers the belt, and the two talk strategy the entire way down the ramp. Madman reaches out to slap hands during the conversation as well, trying to reach every fan possible. Szalinski climbs up to the apron, bouncing over the top rope into the ring. He jumps to his corner, doing his signature invisible-controller button mashing by using the edges of his Commonwealth belt as the controller. He holds the belt high over his head, getting many a cheer, before stepping down and handing the belt to the referee, then flinging his leather jacket off and to the side. The ring anouncements are now made, with no time wasted.
“Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest will be fought under Commonwealth Rules, and it is for the GFC Commonwealth Championship! Introducing first, the challenger…Sylar Drake! And his opponent, the GFC Commonwealth Champion…Madman Szalinski!”
Before the bell sounds, Szalinski approaches Sylar’s corner, reaching his hand out. This handshake is met with a smile, as both men wish good luck to each other. Szalinski makes a final point and a grin at Sylar while backing into his corner, not in disrespect but in jest. Sylar returns this with a half-serious “come at me” gesture, quickly returning to grab the top rope and squat deeply a few times. The bell finally rings to begin the first round.
Drake takes an early advantage by taking Madman’s back repeatedly after scouting Madman’s offense as he attempts to work the arm. After two minutes, Szalinski switches up and reverses a side headlock to go low, taking a leg. This nets him some success for a few seconds, until he tries standing up while still holding the leg. Sylar is able to roll him up into a cradle, and again reach a standing base, staying there for the rest of the round. Szalinski is thwarted attempting a single leg takedown as well as a Russian leg sweep that follows his only successful arm ringer attempt of the round. Glancing away, Madman taps Sylar’s fist lightly.
Cursing in the corner, Brydon tries to reassure Szalinski of his gameplan. Meanwhile, Drake keeps his eyes on Madman. The second round begins with Madman charging in at full speed, and receiving a very high back bodydrop for his troubles. From here on out, the round consists of Szalinski failing to gain any significant advantage over Sylar Drake. Attempts to target the back, ribs, legs, and arms are all thwarted by Drake, who attempts little offense for himself due to the repeated strikes and grapples by Madman. Growing more and more frustrated, Szalinski actually kicks the bottom rope and yells at one point, the round ending shortly after. Madman merely storms away from Drake, not offering a sign of respect at the end of this round.
Madman calls Sylar a “crafty little fuckfart” while Brydon again tries calming down his client. Sylar Drake opts to remain standing rather than sit on the provided stool during the break in the second and third rounds. He makes a couple of motions towards his waist, stating that he may be well on his way to capturing the GFC Commonwealth Championship. The third round begins with Szalinski charging in once again, but stopping just short of Sylar as he lets his head down. This allows Madman to drill him with a step-in European uppercut that puts Sylar back into the corner…and for lack of a better word, really pisses him off!
Drake shoves Szalinski back into his own corner, holding his jaw. Madman comes out and slaps Drake across the other side of the face, keeping his palm stiff and his fingers curled. Madman stands in place, waiting for Sylar to recover. Drake regains his balance and simply tackles Madman, pushing him back with a flurry of elbows and closed fists (most of which are aimed for the rib cage.) Szalinski uses a jiu-jitsu guard to roll over, but Drake merely stands and drops Madman back down with a spinebuster, getting the first ten-count of the match; which ends at four with a livid Szalinski jumping out of the way as Drake goes for a two-step-and-jump Shooting Star Press, missing by inches! Madman immediately jumps in, starting to lay in unprotected shots from a rear mount to the point that the referee admonishes him. Szalinski makes the point of “Is my fist closed? Is it hitting him? What do you care?” Madman has to stop himself and apologize to the referee, rubbing his forehead to calm himself down briefly. When he turns back to Sylar, he is met with a flying lariat. However, Drake doesn’t move from the canvas after he lands the manoeuvre. As fans speculate, it becomes clear when the referee begins a ten count that although Sylar hit Madman hard, he also landed on his own head after landing on the mat.
At four, Madman reaches a hand to the sky. At five, Drake’s eyes start to flutter as Szalinski’s hand drops, followed by a distinct “SHIT!” At six, Brydon yells “GET UP!” and starts to pound the apron, which gets the fans joining in as well. Throughout seven and eight, the fans stomp away on the bleachers and pound at whatever makes noise…yet neither man moves an inch. The ref counts to nine, and a large gasp begins to swell through the crowd…and just as the referee’s tounge begins to sound the “t” in ten…the bell rings! The match continues! It takes several more seconds for either man to roll, much less get to all fours. Brydon approaches Madman, who assures that he is fit to finish the match. Sylar Drake is also able to convince the referee that he is also able to continue the match, and the fourth round soon begins.
The two are slow out of their corners at the start of round four, and when they do step out they circle each other while they continue to regain their breath. The crowd are chanting both their names, eager for them to go at it again. And after a moment the two do hook up in the middle of the ring. Sylar gets a knee up into the gut of Madman, then connects with an elbow. He whips Madman into the ropes, but instead of bouncing back Szalinski drops to a knee and falls to the canvas. He’s running on empty here, that much is clear. Drake drags him back to his feet and goes for a Butterfly Brainbuster, but he doesn’t seem to have the strength left in him and both men collapse to the canvas again.
Talinsdale tries to get the crowd behind Madman, they clap rhythmically and chant his name, although a section of the Braehead Arena is chanting for Sylar Drake. The two get back to their feet again, albeit wobbly. SUPERKICK FROM SYLAR! Madman bounces off the ropes, LARIAT TURNS SYLAR INSIDE OUT!! Cover… 1…2… NO!!! UNBELIVABLE!
Madman pulls himself to his feet using the ropes, as does Sylar. Madman charges in again, Sylar ducks and gets him up onto his shoulders. He’s going for the Starlight Special (Genkonitteki)! He moves Madman into an almost Tombstone-esque position but before he drops to the mat Madman begins to wriggle his legs and tries to escape. He manages to slide back off Drake’s shoulder. Drake turns round. SCOOPSTONE!!! 1…2…3!!!
Your winner, and still GFC Commonwealth Champion, Madman Szalinski!
I know I’ve said this before tonight, and I expect I’ll say it again. But holy shit that was good! What an unbelievable ending to a stunning matchup. Szalinski was taken to the limit by Sylar Drake and both men received a standing ovation from the Glasgow crowd. Madman was presented with his title by the referee and he clutched it tight. He then went to Sylar and offered his hand. The two shook hands, and Sylar raises Szalinski’s arm into the air. Madman then put his belt over his shoulder and proceeded to applaud his challenger here tonight.
After that there was a little unexpected action, take a look at the video to see what went down.
— VIDEO —
Brydon Talinsdale stands in the corner, clapping at this display of sportsmanship. The celebrations are very short lived, however. The cheers turn to boos as Rim slowly steps out from the curtain, looking down the long way to the ramp. Madman nods towards the outside of the ring as he looks at Sylar. Drake agrees to leave the ring, and Madman turns his attention to Rim. He extends a similar gesture to Brydon, who merely flips him off. This week, Rim is not carrying a microphone, prompting Szalinski to prepare for an assault. This assault is quickly paused as the crowd bursts into more cheering when a man in jean shorts, a black shirt, and full beard jumps over the railing at the entrance, standing between Rim and Madman.
At this point, Szalinski loses all sign of sanity. He shoves Brydon away, and starts to run around the ring, pacing in circles. He jumps out to the floor, tearing at the ring apron and going over to kick the timekeeper’s table over. Graham slowly makes his way towards the ring, dodging a flying headset thrown his way by his former tag team partner and best friend. Brydon walks down the ring steps and towards Madman, trying to put his hands up as Szalinski throws a small personal desk fan across the ring. He can be heard using every curse word imaginable. Graham, meanwhile, is very somber as he picks up a microphone that was left in the ring.
Graham: So, Madman… who turned their back on who?
Graham ducks as a chair flies through the air, missing him by inches. Szalinski reaches for another one underneath the apron, where he found the first, but Brydon runs over to him, attempting to calm him down as Graham speaks to him from inside the ring, looking down.
Graham: Get real for a moment, and open your damn eyes! You kept wanting to throw the towel, and why? Because you were being a little baby, throwing a big temper tantrum because you weren’t getting the top billing like you were so used to. You had spent so much time on top that when you started having to play the political game, you fell short. You just wanted to wrestle, and they wanted you to play creative control cards. And honestly, as socially adapt as you are, they were better than you at it… They were better than ME at it… We weren’t equipped for that bullshit! But, now we are, with Brydon handling that business…think about it! Think about how he ran X3W and EPW! He can do that for us, too!
Madman looks over at Brydon, who only points up and gestures back at Graham. Madman still clutches a chair in his hands, but Clauson is unwavered in his words.
Graham: At first, I didn’t want to come here and reunite this team… But, I began to realize something: Sometimes you have to start at the bottom again, Madman, and we did… And now you’re here… I’m here… We fought from the depths of the abyss, and we are both here in the place we had both been searching for! We don’t have to shoot on FRONTIER! This isn’t Pandaland, this isn’t California, this company doesn’t need fixed! The politics are obviously nil, it isn’t overrun with favoritism… We don’t have to fight a pre-conceived notion here! I haven’t even wrestled one damn match, and I know that just from the environment! Don’t you get it, you masked motherfucker?! THIS IS OUR FUCKING VALHALLA!
The crowd cheers at this, many starting a “FRONTIER! FRONTIER!” chant. Graham waits for a few rounds of this chant to go around the arena before continuing his speech.
Graham: Let’s do this! Let’s do what we all set out to do two years ago. Let’s finish what we started. Get back in this ring and hold your head high!
Every single fan in attendance roars in approval of this, Graham going as far as to hold the ropes for Madman. Brydon also hops onto the apron, gesturing for Madman to follow him. Madman looks at the chair in his hands, and back at Graham. He holds the chair high into the air, and the fans respond to this with boos. Madman then regains the fans’ support with even more roaring cheers as he throws the chair down and hops onto the apron, skipping through the ropes and embracing Graham, Brydon standing to the side and clapping as the fans continue to shake the building. After several seconds, Graham asks Madman to give him another round on the microphone, and Szalinski steps away.
Graham: Let me prove it, right now! You know, that Rim som-bitch has me riled up, and I’m in the mood to fight! I don’t know who is back there, but I’m giving you folks an additional bang for your currency here… Open challenge, one-on-one… Hell, I’ll even go no-holds-barred! Get a ref out here, and let’s see who has the gumption to take on a Shoot King!
Graham is met with silence, the referee from the previous match still around ringside and unsure what to do. When “Ducktales: The Moon” by The Advantage begins to play, Graham immediately springs into a fighting stance, staring down the entrance ramp. A few fans who recognize the music cheer, but the rest of the arena joins in as Ariel Shadows, tossing her denim jacket off, runs down the ramp towards the ring at near full speed!

EXTRA BONUS MATCH IS BONUS!
Graham Clauson vs. Ariel Shadows
Szalinski looks down the ramp and just shakes his head, looking back at Graham and saying something intelligible, followed by a fist tap prior to exiting the ring, and just in time. Hesitantly, a bell rings as Ariel slides in underneath the bottom rope, leaping to her feet. Neither participant in the impromptu match waits for it to begin fighting. Graham comes in with a wide hook, but Ariel catches his arm and throws it aside. She tries a high kick to the head, but this is slapped away by Clauson. Within seconds, both Ariel and Graham are exchanging wild blows, with both either catching or blocking away every single attempt to strike the other.
Graham attempts to grab Ariel’s arm after a spinning back fist and go for an arm ringer, but Ariel cartwheels free and attempts one of her own. Graham reverses this with a forward roll and kip-up, going for another one followed by a jumping savate kick. Ariel ducks this, waiting for Graham to land on his feet before clutching himf rom behind in a waistlock. She attempts a German, but Graham flips out backwards, kneeling down for a pin…until he is rolled up himself by Ariel, breaking free at two. Graham then attempts an inside cradle, which also gets two. Finally, he meets a rising Ariel with a jumping hurricanrana, rolling her up into yet another pin, this one also getting a mere two count.
When Ariel gets to her feet, Graham runs to the ropes. He returns to find a leaping hurricanrana waiting for him. Ariel does not attempt a pin, but opts instead to roll through and pull Graham to his feet. Upon doing so, she reaches out for his trademark beard, pulling it long enough to aim a well-timed and impactful European uppercut. This only enfuriates Graham, who belts Ariel with a stiff right elbow. Graham then pulls Ariel’s head down into a front face lock, lifting her up high into the air for a fisherman’s suplex, slapping down on the landing to drive Ariel’s head into the canvas.
Graham goes for a pinfall, but she kicks out once again at two. The crowd is going wild, cheering wildly from the heavy and fast action so far. Graham shakes his head, smiling somewhat as he hoists Ariel up. He pushes her into the corner, only to send her packing to the opposite with an Irish Whip. She hits hard, holding her back. Graham begins running at her, which she quickly dives to the side. Graham sees this, hopping up quickly onto the second turnbuckle. Before he can react, Ariel catches him in the back with a hard kick. Graham winces, holding onto the ropes to keep from falling back. Ariel takes the opportunity to hop up onto the second rope, somehow grabbing onto Graham and pulling him down with a springboard Russian Leg Sweep of sort to the mat!
As both Ariel and Graham crash to the mat, Madman suddenly looks towards the ramp with a questioning look on his face. Brydon is too busy watching the action, and Madman finds a way to slip away, only beknownst to the fans that catch it. Ariel attempts to get a pinfall off the manuever, but finds herself only catching a two count. She pounds the mat in frustration before picking Graham up and dragging him to the center of the ring. She levels him to the ground with a traditional leg sweep, then following up by running to the ropes. To her surprise as she runs back, Graham has kipped up and rolled forward into her with a Koppo Kick square to the forehead! Ariel hits the mat hard, bouncing up only slightly from the impact… She looks as if she was almost knocked out!
Graham stands up, dragging Ariel to the corner nearby and setting her up for a high-flying maneuver. Graham hops up onto the turnbuckle, stands up and makes a motion of firing two pistols simultaneously before leaping, nailing Ariel with a Pheonix Splash! A Clockwork Orange has been executed, and a three count is secured by Graham against his tag team partner’s wife!
Your winner, Graham Clauson!
— VIDEO —
Kneeling down over Ariel, Graham looks down her way and nods, reaching out a hand to her. She accepts it, holding her ribs in her free hand. Helping Ariel to her feet, Graham raises her arm to the crowd’s continual roars. Ariel keeps her head down, embracing Graham briefly with one arm before exiting the ring as Clauson runs to the second rope, raising his arms as he stands on the middle rope. Brydon Talinsdale remains on the outside, where he and Ariel speak briefly. Ariel points at the curtain, still holding her ribs, and Brydon nods. Graham exits the ring at this point, the trio going to the back together as Graham is being filled in on the conversation.

How many god damn “holy shit” moments can one night hold? Clauson is in FRONTIER? He’s back with Szalinski? This night just gets bigger and bigger. Plus an extra unannounced match? The fans loved that!

All four competitors are down on the floor as the crowd chant “This is Awesome!” Stryker is the first to get back up, rolling back into the ring to prevent the count out. Laurel follows him back in, grabbing him and pushing him into a corner. She steps back and charges in, but Stryker charges out! HEADHUNTER KICK (Busaiku Knee Kick)!! Cover… EVANGLISTA MAKES THE SAVE AT TWO!!

She steps back and charges in, the STEVIE G (Running shoot kick to the back of the head of a sitting opponent) CONNECTS! She pushes Richards to the floor and gets out of the ring herself, leaving Laurel and Stryker as the legal pair.
Stryker whips Laurel to the corner and follows with a big back elbow. He gets Laurel set for the Amateur Brain Surgery but before he nails it Evangelista grabs him from behind. She blind tagged herself in! HEADBREAKER!! 1…2…3!!!
Your winners, and NEW GFC World Tag-Team Champions, the UK Dragons!
We have new champions! The UK Dragons win the belts and become the top tag-team in Pro-Wrestling FRONTIER. They’ve been after this moment for a long time and I’m sure the deserved celebrations will last long into the morning here in Glasgow. Credit to Go Strong too, they put up one hell of a fight and have held those belts proudly since winning them over in Japan.
Let’s quickly head backstage where we caught up with Katie Brookmyre.
— VIDEO —
Katie Brookmyre is murmuring to herself absently as she tears through the hallways.
Katie: Oh my god, how could Graham do this… we were so close, and he’s gonna ruin everything… this ends in a riot EVERY TIME…
She nearly knocks herself and a stagehand over in a blind collision.
Katie: Sorry! I’m sorry…
Katie appears even more frightened at the stagehand’s blank reaction then she was before. She backs away slowly, mumbling something as the stagehand walks away.
Katie: This isn’t right! How many times to I have to see this? It’s gonna happen again… aah, it’s all gonna happen again!
A hand reaches out to her shoulder, making her jump a couple of feet. Katie turns, and almost screams, but the finger Madman Szalinski raises to his lips stops her.
Madman: Heyheyheyhey…it’s cool. It’s me. I swear.
Katie, still wound up, is continuing to ramble.
Katie: No, it’s not cool! You know what happened last time!
Madman: It’s cool, Katie. I’m sorry, we couldn’t tell you…but trust me, Ariel planned for this. Okay?
Katie stops long enough to take in one or two deep breaths. Madman helps her to further calm down with a friendly hand on her shoulder. She peers closely at him, still agitated, eyes narrowing…
Katie: Okay, it is you.
And she breathes out.
Madman: This is part of the plan. Think about it. How do scientists make sure that what they learned in their experiments isn’t just a freak glitch in nature? They recreate the experiment, with the same environment and the same conditions. If it happens again, then they know. So, for this to work, don’t you think that we should recreate the environment as best as we can?
Katie tilts and turns her head as she thinks this over, and then – although she doesn’t seem very happy about it – she quietly nods, which gets a grin and clap from Szalinski.
Madman: Okay. You know what to do. We’re just a phone call or a text away. If you think of anything else we need, please let us know. Everything is going exactly like we’re wanting it to right now, Katie. Trust us. Trust yourself. After all…this is your plan. We’re just helping you make it happen.
Again, Katie only nods silently. She turns to leave, quietly whispering to Madman before doing so.
Katie: I need to see her…
Madman nods, although he does take a second to watch her leave. He shakes his head before turning to walk away the other direction.
Madman: Oh, crispy, chocolately, peanut-buttery Jesus, Ariel’s gonna want me to try and get her in a three-way.
As Madman disappears, the scene is now blank, and fades away.

Before we move on to our next match we had the small matter of the contract signing between Gabriel Gambino and Kevin Hardaway. Come on, let’s be honest, we all know this isn’t going to be straightforward…
— VIDEO —
[The ring has been transformed into an office setting as we are now set for the contract signing between Gabriel Gambino and Kevin Hardaway for Unsanctioned. A dark cherry oak desk sits directly in the center of the ring, with two leather rolling chairs positioned on either side of it. An oak podium stands at the head of the table on the right side of the ring. Hope Marie Osborne, in a black pinstriped woman’s suit, stands at the podium smiling brightly.]
Hope: Ladies and gentlemen, I am extremely excited and honored to be with you all tonight. Myself, in conjunction with my wonderful husband CJ Osborne, and Ms. Hanna Fox, have come up with an event that we believe will be nothing short of extraordinary. Unsanctioned truly has been a wonderful project to work on, and is something we would have never thought possible if not for the support of you fans. We truly thank each and every one of you for allowing us to put together this historic event. With your support, along with an admittedly surprising number of responses from wrestlers across the globe, Unsanctioned went from a pipe dream to a now TWO night spectacular that will take place at the O2 Arena in London in just three short weeks. Some of the thanks must also go to the two wrestlers whom will be out here with us shortly. Gabriel Gambino and Kevin Hardaway have both been instrumental in helping put this event together. I may think Mr. Gambino is a real, pardon my french, asshole, but he has truly helped put Unsanctioned on the map.
[An ‘asshole’ chant makes its way through the crowd, causing Hope to pause and giggle.]
Hope: Now that the thank yous are out of the way, let’s get onto tonight’s business! While Unsanctioned promises to be a spectacular event across the board, the main reason this was all put together was to finally and ultimately put an end to the rivalry that is Gambino vs Hardaway. It is a rivalry that has spanned a few different countries and companies over the last year and a half. It is arguably one of the greatest rivalries in FRONTIER history. And on June 16 at Unsanctioned, the final chapter of that rivalry will be written. Gabriel Gambino vs Kevin Hardaway IV will be contested in a ladder match, with a brand new one year FRONTIER contract hanging high above the ring. The winner of the match gets the contract, while the loser is banished from FRONTIER forever. A special thanks to Ms. Fox for helping get the contract stipulation added to this match. And so tonight, we make things official! Without further ado, please join me in welcoming back our first competitor… Mr. Kevin Hardaway!
[The crowd nearly blows the roof off the arena in applause for Hardaway. He appears from behind the curtain in a white ‘Unbreakable’ t-shirt, black athletic shorts, and a pair of white running sneakers. An ear-to-ear grin crosses his face as he makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands of fans in the first row on either side. He makes his way into the ring via the second rope, pausing momentarily to shake Hope’s hand, before playing up to the crowd who shower him with more cheers. KHard takes his seat at the table, the grin never leaving his face.]
Hope: Welcome back to a FRONTIER ring, Kev. It truly is wonderful to see you. And now, his opponent for Unsanctioned. Ladies and gentlemen, please join me in welcoming Mr. Gabriel Gambino.
[A noticeably different reaction from the crowd, as the cheers quickly subside in favor of nearly deafening boos. Gabe appears from behind the curtain, standing atop the ramp seemingly enjoying each and every boo and jeer thrown his way. He too is smirking widely, dressed to the nines in a gray suit with a black undershirt, the top two buttons undone revealing a thick gold chain, and a pair of black dress shoes to complete the ensemble. He slowly saunters down the ramp, running his hands through his slicked back dark brown hair. Upon reaching the ring he too enters via the second rope and makes a beeline for the far turnbuckle. He hops up on the second rope, positioning his right foot atop the third, and raises both arms into the air. The crowd is incensed, and continues to shower Gambino with boos. After a few moments, he hops down and completely ignores Hope, who has her right hand extended for a handshake, favoring instead to sit in the chair opposite Hardaway.]
Hope: And it sure is nice to see you too, Mr. Gambino. [She rolls her eyes.] Now that the formal introductions are out of the way, it is time to make this match between the two of you official! Here in my hand I hold a contract. The lawyers for FRONTIER and Ms. Fox have looked this document over, and have signed it. Both of your lawyers have received a copy of their own and have signed off on it as well. My husband CJ and I have both signed also. All that is left is for the two of you to sign your names, and the main event for Unsanctioned will become a reality. Mr. Hardaway, your John Hancock if you would.
[Hope passes the black binder to KHard, who pauses momentarily to read through the first few lines. A cheer passes through the crowd when Hardaway signs his name on the appropriate dotted line. He looks up to meet Gabriel’s glare, and with a smirk slowly pushes the binder to his side of the table. Gambino grabs the contract from off the table, as well as the microphone that was positioned next to him.]
Gabe: First of all… [The boos are nearly deafening.] I’m trying to speak here people. First of all, I’d like to thank Mr. Hardaway for dressing appropriately for this contract signing. Apparently his mother never taught him about business etiquette. Were you raised by a pack of monkeys, Kev? I mean geez, at least put on a pair of dress slacks or something. This is a contract signing after all, mook. Onto more pressing matters. This contract is… For lack of a better term… Complete bullshit. This contract is just another way for Hanna Fox, Matt Montell, and now Scott Mayo… Wasn’t he fired by the way?… To SCREW me. Just like they screwed me in the Battle Royal last summer… Just like they screwed me at FRONTLINE… Just like I’ve been getting screwed since the day I walked into this company… This is just another opportunity for management to screw ME. The fact that Scott Mayo even allowed my contract status to be discussed in public is laughable, and downright disgusting. Great business move, Scott. And let me remind everyone, I’m NOT the one who struck a member of management. That honor belongs to the moron sitting across from me. So why am I the one being punished? Why am I the one being FORCED, yes I said FORCED, to sign this contract… This contract that says if I lose, which I won’t, but if I lose I am banished from FRONTIER forever. I’m the one still contracted to FRONTIER, at least until 11:59 pm tonight. Why do I have to fight for my contract? Have I not done enough for this company? Have I not carried this company on my back for well over a year? Have I not done enough to name my own terms to my new deal? The answer is yes, yes, and yes. But the powers that be still see fit to SCREW me. And yet I’m supposed to sit here, smile, and sign a bullshit contract. You all got another thing comin’ if you think I’m going to sign this.
[Gabe throws the binder back in the direction of KHard and pushes back from the desk. Hope is completely stunned as Gambino gets up from the chair and goes to leave the ring.]
Hardaway: Hold on while I call the wambulance for Mr. Gambino here… Yeah, 911? I need a wambulance here stat for the whiny little bitch standing across from me. Five minutes? Ok, great, thanks. [Kev pauses for a moment to hold back his laughter.] Sign the damn contract you self-righteous punk. You’ve been bitching and moaning and complaining for months about how bad you wanted to get back at me… About how long you wanted to end me and my career… Here’s your chance, mook. Sign on the dotted line. Make the main event for Unsanctioned official. And then show up June 16 and TRY and end my career. Many others like you have tried, and guess what… I’m STILL standing. Sign the contract, Gabe, and show these people you aren’t a pussy.
[Gambino, his back still turned to Hardaway, is clearly steaming after the last comment. He turns around and in a fit of rage flips the table on its side, getting nose to nose with a now standing Kevin Hardaway. Hope has seen enough and decides to bail from the ring, leaving the two face to face. Gambino, his glare to leaving KHard, bends down and picks up the fallen binder containing the contract for Unsanctioned. He opens the binder, pulls the pen from its slot, and signs on his respected dotted line. The crowd explodes in excitement as the main event for Unsanctioned is now officially official. The two stay nose to nose for another few moments, before Gambino slowly begins backing away. He tosses the contract at KHard’s feet, and looks to be exiting the ring. A wave of boos quickly overcomes the crowd, however, as Hardaway is attacked from behind by fellow Godfather of Wrestling Andreas Lasiewicz. Gambino quickly jumps in, landing heavy boots to the back and ribs of Hardaway. He begins stomping away on the surgically repaired right wrist of KHard, whilst Lasiewicz rolls out of the ring to grab a steel chair. Gambino scoops up the fallen Hardaway as Lasiewicz, back in the ring steel chair in tow, lines him up. “Thwack”. The steel meets the skull of Hardaway, immediately busting him open. Gambino again picks up the downed Hardaway, and promptly drops him with the ‘Fongul’ onto the chair. Security finally makes its way from the back and piles into the ring to stop the assault. Gambino and Lasiewicz smirk sadistically at one another as Gabe picks up a mic.]
Gabe: On June 16, 2013… Time consumes another victim. On June 16, 2013… The hourglass runs out of sand. On June 16, 2013… I break the unbreakable. And on June 16, 2013… I END Kevin Hardaway!
[Gambino drops the mic and joins Lasiewicz outside of the ring. The two Godfathers survey their work for another moment, watching as medics tend to Hardaway inside the ring. They turn to each other, satisfied, and begin making their way to the back. The crowd once again begins throwing various debris at them, booing the pair the entire time. Once atop the ramp Gambino turns and looks down once more at Hardaway, a satisfied smirk across his face, before disappearing behind the curtain.]
— /VIDEO —
Yea, that went down pretty much as I expected. Carnage. And this was just the contract signing? Can you imagine what it’s going to be like in a steel cage when these two collide at the O2? I cannot wait!
Now it’s time for what a lot of locals here are calling the biggest match of the night, the all Scottish affair between two former GFC Champions. William Wallace, current WARPED Heavyweight Champion takes on Jay Pride, who will be bitterly disappointed to come home to Scotland without the GFC Title around his waist, having lost it the same night Wallace won his!
As if this wasn’t a big enough match we had some visitors at ringside for this one. We saw earlier in the night that Crowbar, Starrzoe and Washington of the AbominationZ were trying to get into the building. And now it looks like they managed it, by buying tickets! The three of them forced their way to the front row, displacing some local teenage fans. I think the kids were too star struck to make any kind of fuss about it, so we started with the WARPED stars at ringside as their Champion takes on Jay Pride!
Jay Pride vs. William Wallace
Wallace takes things right to Jay as soon as the bell sounds. Wallace grabs a side headlock and Pride shoots him off into the ropes, leapfrogging him and ducking under him before hitting Wallace with a big dropkick and a pair of armdrags followed up with a dropkick. Wallace rolls to his knees and eventually to his feet, but Pride brings him down to the mat with an armbar and the crowd is chanting his name as Wallace shoves him back into the corner and fakes a clean break before he takes a cheap shot on Pride. More right hands from Wallace and he backs away but Pride pulls him back into the corner and peppers him with rights before hitting a big hip toss out of the corner. Pride over to the other corner to grab Wallace, but Wallace catches him and drops him face-first into the middle turnbuckle. Wallace picks Pride up and sets him up for a vertical suplex, but Pride floats over into a roll-up off of the ropes for a two-count. Wallace misses a clothesline and hits the ropes, but Pride catches him coming of with a Powerslam. Pride calls for Wallace to get up, but Wallace bails out to the floor to catch his breath.
Jay is by the ropes, yelling down to him. Wallace hooks Pride around the ankle and drags him out of the ring, slamming his head into the guard railing before he rams him into the ring steps. Wallace with a handful of hair and he chucks Pride back into the ring. Wallace measures Pride for a stomp to the face. Elbow to the back of the head puts Pride down to his knees and Wallace rakes the back again and tells Pride to get up, with Pride responding with right hands and a dropkick that sends Wallace over the top rope to the floor. Pride right out after him with right hands and Wallace is trying to get away from him and get another breather as the crowd chants to support Pride. Wallace turns the tide with a cheap shot and rams Pride’s head into the barricade before sending him back into the ring. Wallace whips him into the ropes, but Pride reverses and holds on, slipping through Wallace’s legs and knocking him down before picking him up for a german suplex. Wallace rolls to the apron and Pride charges across the ring, hitting a shoulder block to the gut that sends Wallace flying to the floor.
Pride sends Wallace back into the ring before heading up to the top rope. Pride drops Wallace with a pumphandle backbreaker for a two count only. Somehow Wallace powers up to his feet as Pride was climbing up onto the top turnbuckle. Wallace splits his legs and crotches him on the top rope! Wallace climbs up and locks Pride in for a superplex…..cover from Wallace for a two. Wallace to Pride down with a DDT into a cover… hook of the leg… Pride with the kickout at two! Wallace whips Pride into the ropes but Pride reverses and hits an arm drag. Wallace rolls through it and charges at Pride, but Pride takes him over with a big snap powerslam for another two count.
After a moment of recovery we have a brawl! Wallace gets on top and wails away on Pride. Wallace thinks he has this, the confidence is evident. He nearly gets caught with a superkick, goes for the Highland Fling (TKO) but Pride slips out and connects with the PRIDE EATER! Wallace is down. Pride is slow into the cover but drapes an arm over. Wallace KICKS OUT at two!! The fans can’t believe Wallace kicked out of that! Pride pulls Wallace back up for some kicks. Wallace fights back with punches. None of the strikes have anything on them due to fatigue.
Wallace charges for a lariat but Pride moves quickly to grab the arm and drag him to the mat. BICEP SLICER!! The crowd have been whipped into a frenzy and the roof is about to come off this place. Wallace is in a world of pain and surely couldn’t last long in this hold. He tries not to tap, his face bright red as a primal scream comes from deep within him. With his free arm he’s trying to reach the ropes, just a few inches away from him. His fingertips are agonizingly close to the rope but he can’t grab them. And then Jay manages to find an extra something and pulls back even harder! A few short moments later William Wallace taps out!
Your winner, Jay Pride!
A brilliant contest from two great wrestlers. After the match Wallace made his way back down the ramp, ignoring the fans as he went. Pride took a moment longer to soak up the atmosphere, but got a little more than he bargained for.
— VIDEO —
Jay climbs out of the ring and high fives a few fans at ringside, until he gets to the area where AbominationZ are sat. The three of them, Crowbar, Starrzoe and Kandi Washington are all on their feet slow clapping the Scotsman. He stops and looks at them, shaking his head before walking away. We can hear Crowbar shout something about walking away from him as he suddenly leaps over the railing and nails Pride from behind.
DW: What the hell? Crowbar attacks Jay Pride! Get these guys out of here!
Kandi and Starrzoe also leap over, joining in the assault. They roll Pride into the ring before stomping on him and kicking him. The crowd jeer wildly as they watch one of their heroes being assaulted by the outsiders.
DW: The crowd expressing their displeasure at what they’re seeing.
The boos rain down as Wallace returns to the ring to join in on the attack! Soon the four AbominationZ members stand tall over the FRONTIER man, much to the displeasure of the Glasgow crowd.
Crowbar: What? Thought you’d seen the last of us here? Please. The AbominationZ run WARPED, and now we’re here to make your lives a living hell, starting with this asshole underneath my boot! Come on UK Dragons, I know you’re here and hate us, hurry up already!
DW: This is despicable! Someone get out here and sort these guys out!
As if having heard the commentary there’s a sudden rush from the locker room as Laurel Anne Hardy, Evangelista, Adam Stryker, Jason Richards and Ryo Unikawa all charge the ring. Wallace, Crowbar et al suddenly make their way out of the ring, over the railing and disappear back into the crowd.
DW: The UK Dragons and the E.N.D coming out to help!?
Crowbar: Backup? Seriously? What, both the UK Dragons AND E.N.D fear us? Damn, our name precedes us! We’ll be back, mark my words, we will be back and next time we won’t be so nice about it. Welcome to AbominationZ pick apart FRONTIER! ….If you think we haven’t got some surprises…
Crowbar smirks.
Crowbar: You’re dead wrong.

AbominationZ making their presence felt here tonight, but FRONTIER stars who were fighting each other earlier in the night now standing together to see them off. I just hope that Jay Pride isn’t too badly injured after that assault… coming after such a tough contest with Wallace!
Now there comes a time in every man’s life where his will is tested, his resolve stretched. For a long time Alex Jones felt that FRONTIER management was holding him back, that they were waiting for him to make a mistake. And then he did, he lost to Matt Kail and many believed Jones would not get his desired shot at the GFC Championship. But Jones is not the kind of man to let things go easily. He worked hard, he got his form back and with the return of Scott Mayo he was granted his wish. Now the question is, can he make the most of it?
In the time that Jones didn’t get his shot, someone else did. Chandler Scott got not one, but two bites of the apple, both courtesy of Madman Szalinski. Some say that was dumb luck that Szalinski passed on his chances, Chandler will tell you it was his superior ability that lead him to be in that position not once, but twice. Scott was unable to get the best of Jay Pride at the first try but just a few weeks ago they met again and this time Chandler Scott won the GFC World Championship. Chandler Scott is the first person in wrestling history to have won both the GFC Championship and the FGA Championship in their careers.
Chandler Scott (c) vs. Alex Jones – GFC World Heavyweight Championship
Chandler Scott went in for a classic tie-up to start, but Alex Jones was having none of it and booted the champion in the stomach! This drew a round of cheers which Alex soaked up for a moment before getting to work on Chandler with blows to the spine. He whipped Scott into the corner for some knife-edge chops and a series of very high-impact kicks, then let Scott stagger out towards the centre of the ring. AJ-GURI! 1… 2… NO! Jones turned to the crowd and gestured that he was finally getting his belt back, which got another cheer, then as Scott rose Jones went for the AJ Lock! But Scott twisted through into a hammerlock… into a backslide! 1… Jones pushed a shoulder off the canvas, but Scott didn’t let him break the hold, instead rolling over him until he was sat upright. Scott smoothly transitioned into a Harvard Surfboard without ever releasing Jones’ arms! Unbelievable! As Scott cranked back Jones yelled in pain.
Jones refused to tap though, and kicked out with his legs trying to get some leverage. Chandler was still weak from Jones’ impressive onslaught in the opening minutes, and couldn’t prevent Alex rotating onto his knees and surging forward, driving the champion into the turnbuckle pads. Alex ducked out to catch his breath for a second, then charged right back in with a spear – but Chandler slid out of the ring, letting the challenger’s shoulder collide with the ringpost! Scott immediately reached through the ropes and hauled Jones’ ankles out from under him, then climbed onto the apron and vaulted over the top rope with a picture perfect knee drop. He paused for just a moment to finally recover from Jones’ earlier assault before grabbing The American Nightmare and sending him into the ropes with a catapult. As Jones bounced out, he was met with a classic Scott dropkick! 1… 2… NO! Scott didn’t let up – jumping elbow drop! 1… 2… another kickout.
Jones holding his shoulder as he got up, which made Scott grin as soon as he saw it. Kick to the joint, then a hammerlock which Scott wrenched on, clearly enjoying the former GFC Champion’s distress. As Jones finally managed to twist out of it, Scott turned in the opposite direction into a hammerlock cradle and suplexed Jones off his feet! High impact landing but Jones bounced up – however Scott was still gripping his hand and hauled him back in for a pumphandle drop. Alex rolled onto his side clutching his shoulder in agony, while Scott took the time to walk round him and plan his next move. He hunkered down, daring Alex to rise… and as he did, the champion grabbed his arm and swept him onto his back with a cross armbreaker! Jones’ own move used against him! Scott was pulling on that arm so hard I think half the audience thought he was going to pull the shoulder clean out of the socket! Jones thrashed around but didn’t tap, but that just made Scott wrench harder.
Jones eventually managed to hook a leg over the bottom rope, and Scott apparently didn’t want to break but the ref forced him. Jones just lay there, having trouble moving, as Scott exchanged a couple of words with the official. Scott leaned in, and Jones reached his legs up to trap him in a headscissors! They struggled for a moment, then Jones wrapped his good arm around the rope and managed to flip Scott over the top! The Harvard man landed awkwardly on the apron and as he righted himself, Jones kipped up to his feet and straight into an AJ-Guri! Scott tumbled to ringside and Jones broke into a run, hit the far ropes and came back with a HUGE SUICIDE DIVE! He practically speared Chandler into the ringside barrier, to a huge ovation. A fan reached out for a high five, but Alex shook his head, his bad arm hanging almost useless, and offered the other hand instead for the fan to tag. He then reached down and wrapped his good arm around Chandler’s neck, the bad one gingerly gripping a fistful of trunks, and rolled Scott back under the bottom rope. He turned him to position his head over the apron, then took a few steps back… PUNT KICK!
Alex dragged Chandler to the centre of the ring and covered. 1… 2… NO! So close. Still shaking out his clearly-hurt arm, Jones stomped Scott’s back then lifted him up with the good arm in a half Boston crab. He pumped the other hand in the air repeatedly, both to get some feeling back into it and to get the crowd going… not that they needed much encouragement, as almost everyone was on their feet cheering the two competitors’ tenacity! Scott tried to crawl to the ropes but Jones dragged him back to the middle… and again… third time was the charm, though, forcing Jones to relinquish the hold. They broke and met again in the middle of the ring. Scott countered a clothesline with a shoulder block! Dropkick but Jones backpedalled out of the way. Clothesline from Jones… ducked! HARVARD HAMMER… JONES DUCKED IT AND THREW SCOTT TO THE MAT WITH A BACK BODY DROP! But Scott rolled straight to his feet and came right back! Jones with a Time To Burn on pure instinct! Chandler’s lights went out, but Alex screamed in pain as the impact of the move hit his arm. Both men were down – champion with his eyes flickering in semi-consciousness, challenger rolling around on his knees holding a shoulder which may well have been separated at this point.
Eventually Jones gets to his feet and notices that Chandler is basically out. He hauls himself up to the top rope, steadies himself and stands there, arms out to his side. The fans are chanting his name and you can see how much that means to Alex Jones. Is this it? Is this the moment he regains his gold? He launches himself into the air… SPIRAL TAP… NO, CHANDLER SCOTT GETS HIS KNEES UP!!! Jones’ momentum took him back up to his feet but he spins around in agony, holding and arching his back. Chandler grabs the ropes and pulls himself back to a vertical base and as Jones’ turns his way… HARVARD HAMMER!! ONE… TWO…. THREE!!!
Your winner, and still GFC World Heavyweight Champion, Chandler Scott!
What an unbelievable finish to an unbelievable night! Chandler Scott retains the GFC World Championship, but Alex Jones just came VERY close to regaining the title. As the night drew to a close Scott celebrated with the title, which he holds aloft. Jones watched on as he walked away, getting a lot of applause from the Glasgow fans which he holds a thumb up at in appreciation.
I suppose I should wrap this up, tell you about how FRONTIER is going on a little hiatus. But I can’t stop chanting “holy shit” over and over in my head. That was one hell of a show! Anyway, we’ll be back with the second anniversary show on June 30th from the Southampton Guildhall, tickets are already on sale for that one. And if you need a fix of wrestling in the mean time then don’t forget the two night extravaganza that is Unsanctioned on June 15th and 16th at the O2 Arena in London. Lots of great matches on that show, including Pat Gordon Jnr against Tim Worthington, Alex Jones faces Chandler Scott again in what is sure to be even more anticipated now and of course Gabriel Gambino and Kevin Hardaway battle it out for a FRONTIER contract in a ladder match!
Be there!
