You knew FRONTIER’s first show of 2015 wouldn’t be quiet! The Motorpoint Arena saw some shocking events, debuts, returns and and three title matches representing three different companies! Before all of that, though, was an address from GFC World Heavyweight Champion Sean Sands, whose next defence, we learned recently, will be against the celebrated veteran Andrew Karnage over in Japan with Puroresu United, at Korakuen Hall this coming Friday on TV ASASHI! But plenty of people here in the UK have their eyes on Sean’s title too, as well as Anastasia Starling, who has a banked title match as her prize for winning the GFC Invitational in December.

——————————————————————————–

“Burn Brighter” by Landsdowne blares throughout the arena to kick us off, and the Sheffield audience gets up to their feet and begins to cheer. Through the curtains steps out Sean Sands, wearing his ring gear and a plain black tee, while keeping the GFC World Championship wrapped around his waist. Sands flashes the audience a smile before he makes his way down the ramp and towards the ring while slapping hands with some of the fans that are in the front row.

Once ringside, Sands hops on the apron and quickly enters the ring before he makes it over to a nearby corner and climbs to the middle turnbuckle. Removing the belt from around his waist, he then proceeds to raise it high in the air to cheers as he points out at different audience members. After he drops off of the turnbuckle, Sands heads to the corner opposite of that one and does the same act there, getting around the same amount of cheers as before. After he drops off from there, Sands asks for a microphone from the ringside crew and is almost immediately given one right before his music cuts out. Once the audience simmers down and there’s peace and quiet, the GFC World Champion speaks.

Sean Sands: Let me hear ya one more time, Sheffield.

The audience cheers once more, bringing a smile on the face of the GFC World Champion. When they calm down, he speaks again.

Sean Sands: Looks like we’ve really got a great show for you tonight, guys. Three… yes, three championships are on the line here tonight. We’ve got the Puroresu United World Extreme Championship on the line as – and I always have trouble with this name – OOKAMI no Chi defends that strap again Crystal Swift.

Round of applause from the audience.

Sean Sands: After that, the IWC Queen of the Ring Championship is on the line as Jessica Lasiewicz defends against Allison Lorraine. Two very good talents going at it right there in what is sure to be worth the money you all paid for your tickets.

Another round of applause from the Sheffield audience.

Sean Sands: And in the main event, the UK Dragons defend their GFC World Tag Team Championships against… Silas World.

Big round of booing from the audience as Sands mentions the disliked group. Sean nods his head in agreement before he continues on.

Sean Sands: You know Diana and Marie are getting their teeth kicked in tonight, let’s not even play around with that fact. We’re all sick and tired of seeing Silas World and after the last Pro Wrestling FRONTIER show, I can tell you that Silas World messed up when they decided to make an enemy out of me. They tried to screw me out of my belt, but guess what?

Sean, with a big smile on his face, then raises his GFC World championship high in the air with his free hand to a round of cheers.

Sean Sands: And this title isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But I’m sure our oh-so-great owner will find a way to try and take this away from me. Maybe she’ll send Diana Tremblay down my way once more and I’ll kick her ass and beat her again. Maybe you’ll give your sister a shot. Maybe Silas can try and step through those ropes and not get killed? Or maybe even Angelica attempts to try and regain the title she lost to me and couldn’t defend even once? The thing is, it doesn’t matter who they send down here. They’ll all be turned away, just like Diana Tremblay and just like three others have!

The audience roars in approval as Sands continues on.

Sean Sands: But by all means, TEST ME. Try to get on my bad side and try to screw me out of this championship belt. Because in the end, it’s only ending bad for one side, and I’m damn sure it’s not going to be the side that I’m on. Hint, that’s not the same side Silas World is on. But please, try me. End of the day, I’m kicking all your asses… or I’m going down swinging.

One more round of cheers from the audience as Sands stands in the center of the ring, championship in the grip of one hand and the microphone in the grip of his left.

Sean Sands: But enough about that group of scumbags. I have a match against Mia Scott, the only person with that surname that I like, that I need to get ready for. A match that in the end, will definitely be worth more than what you guys paid for that ticket. A match that I expect will probably be up there as a GFC MOTY candidate. The GFC World Champion takes on the GFC Commonwealth Champion in a match that is sure to have you guys sitting on the edge of your seats throughout the whole thing. Enjoy the rest of the show, ladies and gentlemen.

Sean drops the mic and slings his world title over his right shoulder before he exits the ring and slaps hands with some of the fans before he heads to the back, giving one last wave to the Sheffield audience.

– VIDEO SCREEN –

The scene opens up in the back. Nina Stokes is lying on the floor of the women’s locker room with her eyes closed. She has balled up a sweat-shirt, and it is resting underneath her head as a makeshift pillow. Her ring gear is already on, and she has on pair of Beats headphones.

A few seconds later Scarlet Flint enters the room.

Scarlet Flint: Where the hell is Stokes?

She scans her eyes over the room, until spots Nina on the floor. Scarlet walks over and stares at her for a few seconds before kicking her in the ribs. Nina pops up, holding her side.

Nina Stokes: What was that for?

Scarlet Flint: Nina, the fuck are you doing? You know our match is up first; I know you love your naps but now is not the time.

Nina takes off her headphones and gets up to her feet.

Nina Stokes: I wasn’t napping. I was trying to calm my nerves. Before every match I chill and zone out to some music.

Scarlet sighs a little bit.

Scarlet Flint: You’re nervous aren’t you?

Nina Stokes: Maybe… maybe a little bit.

Scarlet Flint: I told you to stop that. We’ve already had one tag match together in GPW, and we killed it right?

Nina nods her head.

Scarlet Flint: Well, I don’t expect this match to be any different. Yeah, I know this is a new company for the both of us, but, so the fuck what? You good in the ring, and I’m good in the ring – so there won’t be an issue.

Nina nods her head.

Nina Stokes: Yeah, yeah – you’re right.

Scarlet Flint: Good, now get your head into the fucking game. Believe; believe in me and that I’ll have your back out there. And if you can’t do that, then believe in yourself.

She lightly punches Nina on the shoulder.

Scarlet Flint: Come on; we’ve got to head to the ring.

Nina nods her head.

Nina Stokes: Yeah, let’s go out there and kill it.

Tag Team Match
FirefFly (Nina Stokes & Scarlet Flint) vs The Emissary (Sir Connor & Sir Corbin)

The more globally-savvy members of the FRONTIER audience give a warm reception to FireFly; The Emissary, as usual, get met with a blanket of boos. Scarlet Flint starts with Sir Connor, and the two start by trading holds, reversals both textbook and completely unorthodox garnering applause. After a couple of minutes of chain wrestling, Scarlet gains the upper hand with a sudden barrage of brutal kicks to the midsection and neck until Connor manages to duck behind her to take control with a thunderous release German. As he tags to his twin brother Corbin, Flint dives for her own partner, but The Emissary manage to cut her off. They spend some time with her in their corner, using rapid tags to keep up the double team assault while keeping her from being able to tag out to Nina Stokes.

Nina’s jumping up and down on the apron and shaking the ropes, rallying the crowd behind Scarlet – and eventually it seems to get through as Flint finds a desperation Irish whip reversal that sends Connor right up and over the turnbuckle before sliding back down into a tree of woe. Corbin goes for the clothesline but Scarlet backflips away from it, at the same time connecting a Pele kick to the tangled up Connor! She leaps for Nina, but Corbin grabs her ankle and drags her back, the clothesline this time connecting. Corbin frees his brother before planting Scarlet with a double chickenwing facebuster, which Connor immediately follows with the Her Majesty’s Will kerb stomp for a two point nine that leaves everyone in the arena shocked, including all four competitors and the referee.

The Emissary bring Scarlet back to their corner for further working over. Again, Nina is rallying the fans behind her, but Scarlet is taking a ton of punishment from the twins. Sir Connor and Sir Corbin are relentless with the tags, keeping up the double team and not allowing Flint a moment to breathe. An second rope spike dragon suplex draws worried murmurs from the audience in particular, as does a high/low combo of a running kick from Connor and an Aztec suplex from Corbin. Scarlet is prone, her eyelids flickering, as Sir Connor lifts her up to the corner and drags her up for a superplex. But Nina starts stamping and shouting to her friend, and with a sudden burst of energy she slips down between Connor’s legs out of his grasp! He hops 180, searching for her, only to be met with a lungblower! Flint hits the F.A.T.E.! Corbin goes for her but she finds a back thrust kick to stumble him, then dives across the ring and slaps Stokes’ hand to a huge pop.

The woman they call Bullet Proof comes in on fire, knocking Corbin down with a huge kitchen sink. She kips up and backflips straight into an imploding double knee to the sternum which nets a two count and a big cheer. She hits both brothers with further knee drops, then kicks Connor under the bottom rope. She turns her attention to Corbin and peppers him with stiff kicks, then caps them off with a rolling sole-butt which sends him flat. She covers… one… two… three-no! Connor reaches under the ring and drags her off his brother! Stokes goes down to an Emissary clothesline and then gets swung into the guardrail. The ref warns Connor about getting disqualified, so he just rolls Nina back under the ropes. But he stays hovering, and the ref orders him back to his apron – which gives Corbin the chance to kneel on Nina’s throat. The ref doesn’t see it… but Scarlet Flint does! She climbs up on the apron indignantly and rakes her fingernails into Sir Corbin’s eyes, and he stumbles back crying out. Nina, oblivious to her partner’s underhanded deed, opens up with a rush of palm-edge strikes, a back roundhouse to the side of the head, and then finally a running boot to complete Death by Harley! Co hasn’t even hit the ground properly before Nina has him pushed flat, and it’s enough for the three count!

Your winners, FireFly!

The crowd with a mixed reaction to Scarlet Flint’s actions there, but they like seeing The Emissary get a taste of their own medicine and as Nina happily and innocently celebrates, they cheer along with her.

Singles Match
Serena Raine vs Adrian Voigt

The two Canadians circle for a moment before locking up, and go straight into a series of takedowns with armdrags, snapmares and dragon whips all coming into play. After a minute or so Serena goes for a satellite DDT, but Adrian blocks it and turns it into a scorpion crosslock. Serena manages to unpick herself and roll him into a single leg Boston crab, which prompts an extended sequence of submission holds being reversed into other submission holds. They go back and forth some time with audacious and innovate stretches and joint locks; even when one of them has to pull off an impact move to survive, the instinct in both competitors tonight seems to be to go straight back to the submission attempt rather than a cover. There’s a very palpable sense of them trying to one-up each other.

For a time they seem evenly matched, but as the minutes tick on it becomes apparent than Serena is winning the war; her holds are on longer, and Adrian is having to do more work to escape them than she is to escape his. This is obviously starting to get to Voigt a little, as he starts losing his cool at times. This just makes Serena dig even deeper to press her advantage. Adrian finally makes a big play by reversing an octopus stretch into a full nelson facebuster. He starts stomping Serena, prompting boos from the many fans who wanted to see more submissions. Voigt ignores them and goes for a standing leg drop, but Raine catches the ankle to block it and dump Voigt on his ass! As she stands she keeps a hold on his leg and uses it to roll him into a sharpshooter! He struggles for the ropes, but she pulls him back, and he seems close to tapping. But eventually he manages to roll onto his side and thrash his legs to kick her away. As he staggers upright she gets behind him in a cutthroat for the Rain of Blood, but he answers with a mule kick right to the crotch! Voigt capitalises on the low blow by angrily shoving Raine into the ringpost then rolling her up as she rebounds, grabbing hold of the bottom rope for leverage to ensure the three count.

Your winner, Adrian Voigt!

In a backstage corridor, wearing a suit, is former GFC World Heavyweight Champion Jay Pride. He’s hunched against the wall, talking quietly into a mobile phone.

Jay Pride: Aye. Wouldnae exactly shock me… I mean, all we can do is see, aye? Uh huh. Either way, I’ll call back right after the show.

Jay’s attention is caught by the sound of someone clearing their throat. He turns to see FRONTIER’s owner, and fellow former GFC World Heavyweight Champion, Angelica Jones.

Angelica Jones: Business call?

As Jay turns to look at her, he places his palm over the receiver.

Jay Pride: Just checking in with mutual acquaintances of ours.

Angelica Jones: Make sure they don’t worry too much. This is my company, after all.

Jay Pride: Indeed it is, aye… and it uses their championships. On behalf of the GFC as their appointed talent liaison to the FRONTIER roster, we look forward to a conflict-free, mutually productive relationship with you and with Silas World.

The corner of Angelica’s mouth raises up in a smirk.

Angelica Jones: Me too.

Chivalry Is Dead Match
World Extreme Championship
OOKAMI no Chi (c) vs Crystal Swift

And so the World Extreme Championship, recently introduced to the world in Puroresu United, appears for the first time outside that illustrious company. Scarlet Flint was the very first champion but several title changes later, OOKAMI no Chi left Tokyo in possession of the title on its inaugural weekend. Tonight she makes her first formal defence against Crystal Swift, who’s been displaying a much more bloodthirsty attitude ever since breaking free from Summer Newman’s control.

Unsurprisingly, the weapons get broken out (and indeed, broken) early on. OOKAMI’s high-octane pace and Crystal’s newfound freedom to indulge her dark side both play well into the Chivalry is Dead environment, as both come up with unorthodox ways to inflict damage with the ring furniture and other objects. The 160lb OOKAMI gets to show off her strength with an avalanche backdrop driver through a chair that buckles the steel as if it was tin foil; Crystal, in turn, demonstrates her versatility by countering a later superplex attempt into the same battered chair with a sunset flip neck snap followed by a Crystal Kick to OOKAMI’s crown as the latter is hanging off the ropes, which followed up with a coast-to-coast dropkick through that same, much-abused chair. The high impact moves take their toll on both women, making for a short but intense match with wild swings in control. Both competitors get busted open before it’s out, OOKAMI crimson masked down one side of her face while Crystal has a wide gash on her cheek. In the end, OOKAMI manages to reverse a Crystal Clear attempt into her camel clutch with bodyscissors, Blood Moon. Crystal fights and scrambles and manages to reach the rope, but since this is a no-DQ match OOKAMI keeps it applied regardless and eventually Crystal has no choice but to tap.

Your Winner, and STILL World Extreme Champion, OOKAMI no Chi!

But the story doesn’t end there…

As OOKAMI holds her title up in celebration, Crystal schoolgirls her and the referee counts it! One, two three!

NEW World Extreme Champion, Crystal Swift!

Well, that’s the risk of a 24/7 title… as our new champion discovers when she climbs the corner to celebrate and OOKAMI leaps up with a triangle jumping enzuigiri, knocking Crystal all the way down to ringside and right into the barrier. OOKAMI panders to the fans for a moment then leaps all the way from the top turnbuckle and down to ringside with an elbow drop, and a cover. One, two, three!

NEW World Extreme Champion, OOKAMI no Chi!

OOKAMI retrieves her title and starts walking backwards towards the curtain, bowing to the fans – until she’s struck from behind by forearm blows from Scarlet Flint! Scarlet connects with a skull-rattling tornado kick and pins OOKAMI. One, two, three!

NEW World Extreme Champion, Scarlet Flint!

Scarlet grabs her title and makes a hasty exit, and as far as I know that was it for World Extreme Championship action last night. But still – three title changes already, all from one match, and we still have two title matches to go! But first, we got an announcement from a recent guest to FRONTIER.

——————————————————————————–

The lights in the arena go down and the big screen flickers with static. A large roll of drums sweeps the air as Carl Orff’s “O Fortuna” begins to play. A voice begins to speak over stock footage of animals in the wild. Lions chasing antelopes across the savannah. Goats climbing on things and getting stuck. A horse violently penetrating another horse in a candlelit stable as Lionel Richie sits at a piano.

Voiceover: Life’s greatest questions have always been: Who am I? Where did I come from? Why am I here? Where am I going? Will I get in wearing a singlet? You are about to see and hear one of the most significant messages given to us from God.

As the song hits its crescendo and fades into the night the silence is broken by the crunching opening riff of The Darkness’ “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”. Casey Black steps through the curtain and saunters his way down the aisle and to the ring. He rolls under the bottom rope and stands tall in the centre of the ring looking out at the crowd with a grin on his face. The crowd offers the 2014 GFC Invitational finalist a warm reception.

Casey Black: Thank you Sheffield! Good Night!

“I Believe In A Thing Called Love” hits the speakers again as Casey moves towards the ropes to exit the ring. He stops at the ropes smiling like a schoolgirl who has just learnt that she isn’t pregnant.

Casey Black: Surely you didn’t think that I was going to leave without telling you why I’m here – did you?

Some guy in the front row shouts out ‘Yes’ but other than this the response is fairly neutral.

Casey Black: I have come out here tonight in front of all of you good people to officially announce that after my stellar performance in the GFC Invitational, despite the somewhat questionable ending to the competition, I have decided to accept a long term offer to stay here in merry old England for bulk cups of tea, crumpets and many wrestlings exclusively for FRONTIER.

This receives a somewhat more positive response from the crowd in attendance, though there are still many who are undecided on the Titan of Teabag.

Casey Black: It wasn’t an easy decision – but after spending most of my life between different families, homes and even countries – it seemed like this was the right time to make a change and it would give me an opportunity to live out one of my lifelong goals.

Adjusting himself Casey continues with his amusing anecdote.

Casey Black: You see ever since I was a young man it has been my dream to become Great. To become a Legend. The only way I thought I would be able to do that would be to take on the greats. The Great American Legends. The Great Japanese Legends. The Great British Legends. The only problem with that is – and for the life of me I don’t know why – I could not think of any Great British Legends.

That gets a mixed reception, some fans booing those sentiments, others being unperturbed by them. A few laugh hard.

Casey Black: Which brings me to making my decision. I figured that with the position of Great British Legend vacant I could start my climb to the top, conquer FRONTIER and establish myself as the one and only Great British Legend. With that in mind consider this my one and only notice of warning to everyone who is even thinking about lacing up their boots in FRONTIER. My return to the ring after a considerable absence was for the GFC Invitational and I almost won the whole damn thing. Give me a few more weeks and I’ll be back at my best. Give me a few more months and I will be on top of FRONTIER. By the end of this year I guarantee you that Casey Black will be clean sweeping every award that you have and doing it with the GFC Invitational trophy that he was robbed of in 2014. 2015 is the year of the teabag and there is nothing and nobody that will stop me from fulfilling my destiny. The Teabag Titan has spoken.

Casey drops the microphone as “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” plays over the speakers. Casey heads for the back, receiving a mixture of cheers and a few scattered boos.

Time for our second title match of the night, as Jessica Lasiewicz defends her Independent Wrestling Cartel Queen of the Ring Championship!

Singles Match
IWC Queen of the Ring Championship
Jessica Lasiewicz (c) vs Allison Lorraine

Allison starts out fast and furious with a series of spin kicks, dropkicks, a headscissors take down, and finally a straight kick to the jaw that sends Jessica to the outside. Allison with a leaping corkscrew plancha over the top to the outside onto Jessica. Allison rolls her back into the ring before delivering a springboard leg drop into a cover and a two. Allison with a snap suplex and then she attempts an Asai moonsault but Jessica moves out of the way! But Allison lands on her feet! Allison goes for a clothesline but Jessica ducks and connects with an Our Lady Peace. Jessica goes for a slingshot into the corner but Allison with amazing athleticism grips the corner and springs backward with a cross body block onto Jessica into a cover for a two! Allison with a snap suplex. Allison goes up top and looks for a moonsault but Jessica moves out of the way and Allison hits nothing but canvas.

Jessica with a leg grapevine. Jessica with elbow drops to the leg followed by another leg grapevine. Jessica then takes Allison over to the corner and smashes her leg several times against the steel ring post before applying a figure four on the ring post. Jessica breaks just before the referee reaches the count of four. Jessica goes back into the ring and locks Allison in a single leg crab. Allison struggles for a moment, but manages to reach the ropes. Jessica goes for a traditional figure four but Allison counters into a small package and gets a two. Allison and Jessica both pop back up. Allison goes for Ferocious Fate but Jessica counters into Deformation! She covers and gets a two.

Jessica connects with a German suplex with a bridge for a cover and a near fall. Jessica sets Allison up, underhooking both arms as if going for her mother’s finisher The Hot Shot, but Allison backdrops out of it. Allison connects with the Ferocious Fate! Allison heads up top and goes for Eye of the Tiger but Jessica rolls out of the way and Allison hits nothing but canvas. Jessica connects with a dragon screw leg whip before locking Allison up in the Four Card Trick. Allison fights long and hard in the hold, refusing to tap. Jessica just keeps the hold wrenched in, refusing to let go until Allison does give in. Unfortunately that doesn’t happen… Allison passes out from the pain and the referee calls for the bell.

Your winner, and STILL IWC Queen of the Ring Champion, Jessica Lasiewicz!

Jessica gazes down at her fallen opponent with an impressed look on her face, acknowledging the toughness Allison showed as she refused to tap out to the Four Card Trick.

Singles Match
Non-Title Champion vs Champion Showcase
Sean Sands (GFC World Heavyweight Champion) vs Mia Scott (GFC Commonwealth Champion)

The two champions both get a fantastic reception, and the crowd are clearly excited to see these two talents squaring off. Sean and Mia touch fists on the bell then start dancing around each other. Mia darts in for a low takedown which Sean fights off. A moment later, Sean goes for a takedown of his own; Mia swings around behind him into a hammerlock. She pushes him to his knees and starts leaning him forward, but Sean fights back and gets back upright. He manages to flip her overhead and floats into a hammerlock of his own, but Mia reverses that with a side headlock into a switch and pulls him up in a kneeling double chickenwing with one knee pressed to the back of his neck. Sean grits his teeth and rolls left and right until he can break past Mia’s leg and catch her with a basement facebuster for the first two count.

As they begin to circle again, Sean and Mia nod to each other with small smiles. They lock up and Mia drops to a sitting position, hooking Sean’s ankles and rolling him back in a controlled monkey flip; she rolls back over him in turn into mount and starts laying in forearm shots. Sean puts up his own to shield himself, and manages to buy the thinking space to wrap his legs around Mia and push her forward into a rana! The ref counts… on the two, Mia reverses and matrixes out into a jackknife pin! Sean rolls his shoulders to collapse the bridge, and both competitors go down in a tangle of limbs. They show mutual respect as they extricate themselves before resuming hostilities.

The match picks up in pace from there, both champions utilising rapid strikes and sudden takedowns to good effect. They trade submission attempts over the course of their battle; Mia with the cloverleaf, Sean with the surfboard. Scott with the bow and arrow, Sands with the sleeper. Neither is willing to quit, and both dig deep to fight their way out of holds. They end up going back to trading holds as each looks for that big slam or strike to force an opening, but no matter what one can come up with, the other has an answer. Sean finds a chance with a rear waistlock reversal into a snapmare, into a chickenwing. But Mia manages to duck through his legs and come up behind him! She goes back to the hammerlock, but Sean blocks it. She changes tack and sends him into the ropes, and as he bounces back, tears him from the mat in a huge Saito suplex that spikes the World Champion right on the top of his head! Despite how much the throw clearly took out of her, Mia rolls over Sean and hooks both legs for the cover… an agonisingly close two point nine that has the entire audience fooled for a second.

Not too long thereafter she scores another off a crescent kick counter to a diving crossbody attempt, while Sean gets one of his own a couple of minutes after that with a ring-shaking second rope powerbomb. The big hits go back and forth, but both the World and Commonwealth Champions keep on kicking out, and the fans are on their feet for both Sands and Scott. Another flurry of rana reversals marks the passing of twenty minutes’ match time. Sean decides it’s time to up the pace, and he gains the upper hand for several minutes with some fast, high-risk strikes and takedowns that the more grounded Mia seems to be having a little trouble dealing with. But that ends when Mia counters a lip buster by smoothly turning it into an STO! The crowd erupts for the reversal, and count along as Mia pins. One… two… another close kickout! That gets a big cheer as well, of course, as the crowd continue to show support to both competitors.

Mia goes for a cross armbar; Sean blocks it and shoves her away, and she hits the ropes. As she bounces back, he leaps up for the Sand Attack, but she anticipates it and pitches forward, rolling him into a snapmare which is followed up with a knee strike to the side of the head. She swings another kick, but he ducks it and reaches up to pull her arm into some kind of legscissors takedown. Mia pulls away and Sean uses the separation to kip up. Mia’s already coming back with another kick; he tries to spin her round for a dragon whip, but she follows through and connects with a roaring knee to the side of his head. He falls sideways, and she pushes over him for the cover. One… two… thre..again, so, so close but Sean somehow finds a way to kick out right at the last moment. She backs up, stomping her foot lightly, looking for the Fulham Broadside… she swings and misses! Sean with the rollup counter! She kicks out on the two but as she stands Sean catches her with the Sand Attack, and with the last of his energy falls across her for the successful cover!

Your winner, Sean Sands!

That was a great back and forth match, with Mia very nearly upsetting the World Champion a few times, but Sean ultimately proving his ability against a top class opponent as he looks ahead to Andrew Karnage in Tokyo.

Mia and Sean shake hands, when suddenly “Wake Up” by Mallory Knox hits the PA system. People roar, awaiting the arrival of the former GFC World Tag Team Champions Fear & Loathing in the UK, and both Sean and Mia look towards the ramp with smirks on their faces too. But instead of two people appearing on the ramp, only one gets to the ring through the crowd. Sterling Everett nails both singles champions from behind with a barbed wired cricket bat! The crowd boos loudly as Sands and Scott are laid out and Everett stands between them. The Birmingham Bruiser now sports long black trousers and a dark coat, and his face is a bit different too – instead of the gentleman look with short hair and a clean shaved face, Sterling has long hair and a beard. He puts the cricket bat aside and raises both the World Championship and the Commonwealth title up from the ground and looks at each of them as if he’s looking in a mirror, before tossing the belts back on their respective owners. He then asks for a microphone and immediately gets one from the ring crew.

Sterling Everett: They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

The fans boo this harshly. The big man drops on his knees, right between Mia and Sean.

Sterling Everett: I had my good intentions. I wanted to be the saviour of British wrestling alongside mister Sylar Drake.

The mention of the wrestler-turned-musician draws a cheer, but it doesn’t last long as Everett speaks again.

Sterling Everett: I tried to be the hero… and I’m never… ever… making that mistake again.

Everett throws the microphone away and this time his new theme, “Rules of Nature”, hits the sound system as The Birmingham Bruiser gets up to his feet, picks up his wired cricket bat and leaves the ring.

“What was that match, I think it was Tim Worthington versus Sean McBride maybe?”

“What was the main event of the first anniversary show?”

Your winners via disqualification and STILL GFC World Tag Team Champions, Dragons Unleashed!

Who is this mystery woman who interfered in this match and is still now pounding away on Laurel? None other than Shooting Star Wrestling Association star – and possibly its most hated one at that – AJ Thomas! AJ and Laurel have been taking shots at each other on Twitter for months over a lot of different things, and I guess now it’s spilled into the ring as well!

Evangelista starts to go to her friend’s rescue, but B.Real hits the ring with a steel chain wrapped around his fist and blasts her. He may be small and somewhat puny but anyone will go down at the force of a steel chain! He mounts her and begins to rain down more right hands as Angelica Jones with Silas Mason by her side comes down to the ring.

Silas Mason: Ol’ Silas and Baby Red were watchin’ from the back and we didn’t like how Baby AJ ruined this match for all of you!

The fans boo, clearly not believing his sincerity.

Silas Mason: And since Silas is always thinkin’ of the fans, and I know ya’ll want a real winner just like I do, Baby Red and I decided that this match needs to be restarted… UNDER CHIVALRY IS DEAD RULES!

The referee doesn’t want to start the match back up, but Angelica threatens his job if he doesn’t! So reluctantly he does restart the match. B.Real is finally pulled off of an unconscious Evangelista. Diana Tremblay casually places one foot across Evangelista’s chest and the referee begins to count. One… two…

The referee still doesn’t want to count but Silas and Angelica continue to threaten him until…

…three!

Your winners and NEW GFC World Tag Team Champions, Marie Annabelle Jones and Diana Tremblay, Silas World!

You can probably guess how much the fans liked that one. Silas World celebrate their victory together in the ring, standing over the fallen body of Evangelista, while AJ Thomas taunts Laurel at ringside… and empty soda tubs and sweet wrappers fly into the ring!
